Sharon Woods Metro Park reviews
36(January 2021) Great trails that aren't slippery even after after rain. Shoes with traction are still recommended. Has a great creek that runs through it. Saw a lot of dogs but some parts of the trails pet's are not allowed.
We were in the area for a rock climbing competition and needed to kill some time. Found this little slice of heaven in the middle of suburbia! Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Walking trails, picnic area, and a great playground!
Always a place to feel free, and alive and could fly, like a butterfly. Air is just uh uh! Great, smells. And say no more its all the way around terrific love IT#
Sharon Woods is a family favorite especially on days when it's not overpopulated it's a great Metro Park to enjoy the wildlife and walking trails enjoying the lake fresh air and watching our diverse Community enjoying the park
Beautiful park. The layout of the park makes it feel pretty huge. The paced trail that goes around the perimeter is awesome and I think it's something like four to five miles (I could be wrong though). Some big ponds around and lots of places to run around and play for our boy. Playgrounds, pavilions, and just open field. We have had picnics here and it never feels overcrowdedeven when there are a lot of people around. If you stop by here definitely go in the fall at least once, there are a lot of beautiful trees and their always seem to be ducks around. I think the cooler weather keeps a lot of people away but it is definitely a gorgeous place to go during the Autumn months. Overall a very gorgeous Park that I've been going to for years and will continue to go to.
We walked the trails which were well maintained! There were not a lot of children so the kids had a great time. Our only problem were the people mowing and going very fast.
A beautiful park with multi-use, semi-rugged and rugged trails. Lots of places for picnics. Some play equipment for children. A nice lake in the center that allows some fishing. Overall a lovely green space, very accessible from the highway (all the construction is done!). One word of advice.if you're looking to walk in the quiet bring headphones; there are highways very close so traffic noise abounds.
Excellent metro park. The long multi-purpose trail is good for all-season jogging or biking. The ponds and playgrounds are also good. One of the better Columbus metro parks, in my opinion.
Great park. Quiet and expansive for a city park. Probably best for little kids that want to play on playgrounds (equipment should be bigger and needs updated). Or adults that want to use walking/biking paths.
Sharon Woods is a good sized park just north of the 270 belt loop. It can be really crowded in the summer but on a fall weekend was practically empty. Nature center fairly small but has turtles which are always fun to see. Multi surface walking/jogging/bike trails, ranger patrolled, scenic lake, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Leaves hadn't started turning yet but there is plenty to see and do.
Big park.good for cookouts but get there early if u want a good spot on a nice day. Natural play area is just woods. Multiple play structures for the kids and a nice big pond.
Great trail! Whenever I’m in Columbus I do my best to make time to get a run in here. Would highly recommend for a run or long walk.
Nice park with lots of trails and schrock lake is really nice. The swingsets are great for the kids. Really like it here.
Nice park, quiet (other than the road noise from 270). Saw deer, blue bird and a couple varieties of woodpecker.
Beautiful park, much larger than it looks. I do wish the Schrock Rd construction would stop interfering with the nature and peace of the area.
We enjoy the paths and friendly rangers and volunteer staff. Adult hikes monthly are at a good pace.
We love this place. I've been coming here for years to jog the 4 mile trail and sometimes bike the nature trail. Plenty of wildlife everywhere. They people are friendly and it's a very welcoming park.
One of my favorite places to run. Dirt and grass trails for easy running. Also asphalt 3 mile trail.ran with a deer tonight. So nice to experience true nature in the middle of the city.
Good for familys friends, and groups in weekends and holidays for all ocations.the only problem is if there is rain there is no alot of shelters.always check the weather earlier and locationt is perfect between Westerville and Columns even is not far from Dublin and aworthington
nice place.
A cool park with walking, running and bike trails and loops. Picnic spot with lake views. The lake is pretty awesome and is a good place to hang out and relax stress after work. My favorite weekend jogging park and weekday evening walk spot. Weekends during summer are crowded and parking might be little challenging.
