39I wanted to give Spectrum a negative star, But I had to give them 1 star (I didn't want to). They are hungry for money. When I call they lie and try every aspect to rip me off. They are the worst in America.
Aviod this ISP as much as possible. I've heard they have decent service if they are forced to compete within your building, but since they have been my only option, internet speeds vary from okay to non-existant. The VPN I need to use to do work (to pay them in the first place) has no connection regularly through them, and the internet speeds vary wildly enough that playing games online is torture on the best of days. I swear I had a better internet connection when it was 20x (5mbps vs. Spectrum's 100mbps) slower in another state just because you could actually rely on the speed, rather than this trash.
From my experience, your wifi will go out for about 24-72 hours at least 2 times a month and there will be no updates when you call. They will day the solution is to send a technician to look at the problem, and one will. After the technician comes you will be good for a few days and then your wifi will not work again. I live in a major metropolitan area and buy their most expensive package. They have told me on the phone before my internet speed is slower than they would expect for a customer who pays what I pay after I used their internet reading tool. The first tech they ever sent out about 6 months ago, when we started having issues was shocked no tech ever came out to our property before him. I have called their hotline before only speak to someone who says they cannot help me. It is very frustrating to basically lose money to keep their internet product in Cleveland, Ohio. I am writing this to warn future customers, do not buy this product. We are currently on hour 15 of no internet here and there has been no resolution or even an attempt at one by Spectrum even after calling them. I just want to use the product I paid for.
I needed to swap a bad modem for a new one. They welcomed me at the door, walked me to the desk, and I was in and out in less than 60 seconds! Wow! Great job!
Know your billing cycle because when you cancel they don't tell you and if you cancel a day after the cycle ends like I did they charge you for a full month. Way to treat a customer of 8 years.
Absolutely great experience professional and friendly staff. Jeff helped us out creat attitude and very helpful and I usually don’t leave reviews but I had to!
Speeds on net are great, big company, only company basically. Can't seem to get my phone line working. Don't understand whats going on here.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever have I experienced in my life at this store. I have been without internet and the spectrum call center said to go to the store to swap out the modem. I walked into the store they had none. I asked if another store might and they said great northern was out and I could try Beachwood. I asked for a phone number or if they could call for me so I don't have to drive out there and they said the stores don't have phones. I have never felt so mistreated at a retail store in my life.
Went to the Spectrum store to
A. Return the modem they installed @ the Transition House I had previously lived in &
B. Pay my last bill with them.
I was greeted by a very polite, professional & beautiful black woman named Monique who helped me w/ paying my bill, then she introduced me to her colleague, another white, polite & professional young man named Christian who helped me in the return of the Spectrum modem I still had from my previous home.
Monique then escorted me to the entrance / exit door & wished me a good rest of the day. I told her "ditto".
A very positive experience!
Unauthorized collection of fees, unstable network, they told me to temporarily not charge for three months, but I accidentally received $386 bills, forced me to pay, but I did not use the network and suspension, do not use this company.
Waited in line for a long time because there were only 2 technicians, but once I was taken care of they handled my issue very fast.
The service was great but the lines were a little slow. They could have used more representatives.
They are all about the $ I called to cancel my service and they wanted to “work” with me.and without the time warner discount (that ends soon) I would be paying more then I am now. Huh? Cancel that!
Be aware of spectrum cable they will randomly bill your credit card and even though you can show proof to your bank that they took money that you didn't pay them even though your bill was paid in full they will say they know nothing about it
Since spectrum took over in the last year, my bill has almost doubled, speeds the same, and it goes down 4-6 times a month for an entire night. I loved Time Warner, but Spectrum is a joke. If any other internet company services your area, I recommend checking them out first
Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Also lied about installation charges and refuse to work with customers schedule.
Hate these high prices.no deals.bill gets higher and higher for no reason. I'm thinking of trying a new company.just nervous because I was with time waner/ spectrum so long.not sure who to try.

Unpleasant experience, nasty attitudes prevail here they don't acknowledge customers presence as you stand in front of them. They act like they're doing the customer a favor, avoid this place.
The gentleman (Tremane?) who helped me was terrific. Fast, courteous. Even though this is a drive for me now, this is the location I prefer.
Customer service is terrible. Prices are waaaaaaaaaaay! To high. Get a firestick or something else.
