This place was probably the worst nursing home my mom has ever been to. When my mom first left to go to the nursing home, her feet were clean and her hair was washed, unfortunately when she came back her feet were extremely crusty, and her hair hadn't been washed. We could tell for the simple fact we sent shampoo and hair stuff and none of it had been used.

My grandmother was moved here after a brief hospital stay when she became unable to move around enough to take care of herself. She fell 4 times in her first handful of days here. After a new medication was tried she improved and we’ve been told the entire week she’s been there that she’s doing all of the exercises OT and PT have asked of her. Before the new medication she wasn’t completely cooperative with the nurses, but she’s had several days now of no issues.

Despite this, they’re discharging her on a Saturday after stating she still needs “maximum assistance” for my 86-year-old grandfather to care for her without professionals available to assist him until Monday at the earliest. She can’t walk on her own, get herself dressed, or otherwise do basic tasks needed for her to be safe and healthy at home. They state this is because she’s “not cooperating with therapy” even though my highly-involved mother and aunt (her daughters) have been in regular, daily contact with the facility and have had no such reports for several days.

What they’re doing to her is downright dangerous, for her and for my grandfather. They know she can’t do anything on her own and they know no one can come to the house to assist her and my grandfather for several days. Yet, they’re sending her home anyway. Not to mention at least one of the nurses has had a serious attitude about her saying to other nurses while on the phone with my mom, “who wants to go back in THAT room with me? ” It’s completely unprofessional and inappropriate. She’s also said several times she feels judged by the nurses aids. I only gave the second star because there’s a wonderful nurse, Brad, and the therapy assistant, Roxanne, who worked well with her and seem to actually have her best interests in mind. But overall, the staff seems completely unprepared or unwilling to deal with anyone elderly who might be struggling with declining cognitive abilities (despite being asked if they could handle this before she got there and stating they could) and entirely uncaring as to the dangers of discharging someone in her physical state with only an elderly man to care for her. I’m appalled that they’ve decided this is somehow better for her. Don’t send anyone you care about here.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. I’m disgusted at how my grandmother is being treated. I can’t even adequately express how angry I am. And to lie about her being uncooperative to get her out of there? Or were you lying to my mother when she asked how things were going? You lied when you said you were equipped to handle patients like her. You’re despicable. There aren’t even words to explain how wrong it is what you’re doing to my grandparents.

My one star rating is based on your management an nursing staff. And both were in adequate at the time.

My mother was placed here after major surgery for rehab. She was dropped off on a Friday evening. The only time she saw someone until Monday morning was to deliver food. If she pressed her button for help, no one showed up. Worst experience ever. On Monday morning the care did get a bit better which is why we are rating 2 stars. If you only need help from 9-5, Monday through Friday you may want to stay here. But if you require help on the nights and weekends you will definitely want to choose to go elsewhere. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here!

My stay, the facility, the staff, the care I received, it was all great. My therapists Keri, Beth, Brittani and Melaney they were excellent. They took very great care of me. Since being home, the OT that comes to my house said I didn't even need him! I have already referred Stonespring and will continue to do so.

I am very pleased that my daughter picked your facility. I really love the representation of your place. Other than having to wait a little while for some help, it was fantastic. The people cared about you. There were many opportunities to make friends. I have nothing but positive things to say about your facility.

As an employee here, and also having a family member here, I highly recommend Stonespring! My grandmother had a FANTASTIC experience! I cannot express how well she was taken care of by nursing and then also given the best therapy the Dayton area has to offer! I will highly recommend Stonespring to anyone that is looking for somewhere for their family member for skilled rehab!

My husband and I were so pleased with his stay. The staff was nice and helpful. Whitney was his aide and she was so pleasant. I can not say enough about the physician, physician's assistant and nurse practitioner - they were very helpful and answered a lot of questions for us. He loved the food! Overall, this was a very positive experience during a difficult time.

We appreciate all the kindness we received from the people that work there. They were so nice and helpful. I miss all the people we met while we were there. We exchanged addresses to keep in touch with a couple friends we met. Everyone is so open to being friendly and to talk to each other. This is a great place to be if you have to be somewhere!

I thought the care was excellent. The staff was so kind and sincere when speaking to me. Very good people. I have no complaints about any of the staff. They did a great job. Anytime I rang for someone, they were there. They might have taken a few minutes but they always came. It is a nice place to be if you have to be somewhere. If I ever need to move, I would love to stay there long term.

My mom was here after having her hip replaced, the nursing care was astronomical! Therapy was superb! I couldn't have asked for a better transition after her surgery. The facility was beautiful and clean. Food was delicious and customer service was excellent. Thank you Stonespring!

I placed my wife here after several weeks in the hospital. I had never had any experience with a rehab center but was really impressed with Stonespring. The employees are very kind and helpful. The therapists are fantastic and the food is excellent. My wife and I would recommend Stonespring to anyone.
