The Animal Health Organization - TAHO, Delaware OH

After taking my miniature dachshund to two other vet's they didn't explain what the issue was. They told me that they can put her down or pay $10,000.00 or more for surgery because of her slipped disc. I decided to take her to The Animal Health Organization. She was seen by Dr. Maria Jahnke, who took the time to explain what happened with the miniature dachshund. She recommended that I continue to give Mocha the medication that was given to me by the other two vets and placed Mocha on cage rest, not a lot of moving or playing. Mocha has an appointment with Dr. Maria Jahnke next week. I received Excellent advice, and services from the staff and Dr. Maria Jahnke! I recommend The Animal Health Organization to anyone.

This veterinary office was recommended to me by a friend and we gave it a try. Love the friendly and efficient staff who genuinely care about our pets. I also feel that at other offices I've been to, unnecessary treatments and medications were pushed on me- but not here. TAHO is what veterinary care should be everywhere- compassionate, thorough and affordable. Thanks for such a great experience!

I love this vet. They take time to help me understand why my animal is not well. They care about helping animals get and stay well. The office staff here is always professional and helpful. They are responsive to questions. Even when I had a lot of questions they took their time to get me the answers I needed.

Unprofessional and just want to take your money. Instead of letting us know they didn’t have a surgeon they still let us come in and spend over 500$ to be told to go somewhere else that has a surgeon.

The building is very nice, new, and clean. Everyone was professional and efficient! There was no waiting. The staff were very knowledgeable and made my dog feel completely at ease. They were gentle with her, gave a comprehensive exam, and answered all my questions! The prices are the most fair and reasonable in the area! Great experience and I'm glad we found this veterinarian, since we are new to Columbus!

We went to TAHO for the first time in September 2021 because our cat had a blockage and wasn't able to urinate. We were in a rush and he was close to death, and they were able to bring us in the same day for the surgery when we couldn't find any other place, which we were grateful for. Upon arriving there, they let us know that he doesn't need the surgery and they'll only need to unblock him. We were ecstatic at the news and he was ready for us to pick up after a day.

What they failed to tell us is if your cat is blocked once, they'll most likely be blocked again, and 2 months later, that's exactly what happened.

We called TAHO as that's the only vet we could trust at the moment, but they told us we couldn't get an appointment until January 24th! It was late November at the time. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait because our cat didn't seem to be in pain.

December came around and our cat was yet again on the verge of death, so we called TAHO and asked to come in through an emergency. They told us the surgeon wasn't there that day, and they couldn't help us.

Luckily, we were able to find amazing vets (VCA, I totally recommend them) that helped us complete this surgery.

A couple months later, our cat was blocked again. He's easily stressed and has anxiety, which is how he gets blocked so often. Not to mention he is older.

We called TAHO again, as their prices are cheaper and better for our budget because the surgery (perineal urethrostomy) costed us well over $3k, and asked if we could come in through an emergency, but we were told emergency rooms are not a thing at this vet, and the person on call immediately hung up on us.

Overall, we're disappointed in TAHO and we almost lost our baby 3 times due to their lack of care for their patients.

TAHO I can go on for days of how amazing this facility and staff are! I've been going here for a few years, and they're always so patient, kind, and compassionate. I recommended a few friends and they also have the same experience! TAHO is reasonably priced compared to other, everything is listed on their website, AND we all drive 20 to 30 minutes because of how amazing, professional, organized, and consistent they are!

I would have given TAHO 5 stars UNTIL my experience I had with them yesterday. Dr. Sorter cared for my elderly dog Tuck and I knew Tucks time with us was coming to an end. Tuck apparently had a stroke in the early hours Thursday morning. He couldn’t get up and I called TAHO that morning as soon as they opened. I told the girl that answered the phone I needed help with his passing and was told he was already scheduled for an appointment on November 21st. I told her he was DOWN and I needed help ASAP. Tuck was a 100 lb yellow lab. She said nothing was available. I asked her if I should try to contact another vet for help. She said “probably “. I find this unacceptable. I did get Tuck service at Mann’s Veterinary Clinic and we were treated with prompt and caring service. When someone is faced with saying goodbye to a beloved pet they certainly don’t need to be treated as I was by your receptionist. She came across as an uncaring person that had no compassion whatsoever for what we were facing. I wish Dr. Will could have helped Tuck but he’s at peace now and give 5 STARS to Dr. Mann’s office!

TAHO saved my dog's life Frank the tank wouldn't be alive would not be alive without them. The care was impeccable and he is a normal happy dog. Take your pets there. The clinic has income based options making it affordable for everyone and they even run a rescue. The staff is super friendly and helpful I would go back in a heartbeat

I took my cat to TAHO when he was severely ill and they were able to provide him wonderful (and affordable!) care even through the end of his life. Now I take my other cat there and cannot recommend them enough! My cat has never done so well at the vet before and it’s because you can tell they really truly care. She was taken care of, handled well, and they were even able to give her shots with zero hissing. They have wonderful staff, excellent vets, and they are SO affordable. I drive all the way from NE Columbus and it’s absolutely worth it. Plus, my cat seems to think their sink is very comfortable. I would give 10/5 stars if I could!

This is an amazing non-profit clinic that offers great pricing. The only downside is that they are often booked solid a month or more out. They are happy answer multiple calls a day from you any day if you're wanting to check for cancellation openings

I foster kittens through Colony Cats and Dogs and we get the fosters spayed and neutered here! The building is clean and nice, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are well posted and easy to read. All my kittens have healed up well and had no complications from surgery!

We wanted to switch vets and heard nothing but great things about TAHO. I called to make a first appointment for our new puppy we are getting over the weekend. I found out the puppy needs it's last round of shots. I called TAHO to make an appt.but there were no appointments available until December 6th? ! The girl on the phone was less than accommodating and would not work with me on a date to get puppy vaccinated sooner. Not the customer service I was expecting. We won't be going to TAHO I guess.: - (

We’ve been going there for years. I needed to get my dog an appointment and couldn’t get in for almost 2 months. I asked if my dogs needed to suffer with this for two months and they said I could go somewhere else

Staff is so friendly! I really appreciated the cats only waiting room with Feliway diffusers and a calmer, more quiet environment. Will recommend if anyone asks me where to get their pet spayed/neutered.

Very organized and runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is super helpful and friendly. My boy was taken here to be neutered and he recovered without any issues. 100% would recommend this place for any of your veterinary needs

I will be returning.
Covid19 didn't stop them, just made some slight changes my chihuahua had dental work, it went well. Now both my chihuahuas attend for shots, & physical exam. Better than Banfield.just my opinion. Took my sons dog there for physical exam & shots, for this dog. I had a lot of questions & the doctor answered, gave me some advice & the staff was awesome

TAHO is truly a life saver. My cat was diagnosed with a bladder stone and our primary vet couldn't see him for 3 weeks. I was desperately calling every other vet in columbus with quotes starting at $1400. TAHO listened when I called, showed true compassion and got his surgery scheduled within a week at half the cost. They are busy, but handle things with efficientcy and genuine concern for you pet. The VT that brought our baby out after surgery was so kind, she carried him out to the car for us. Thank you TAHO for what you do, and the affordable care you provide.

They spayed my bunny. Since the spay, she has gone into stasis twice and has gotten a bad infection with necrotic tissue around the opening. Do not take your rabbits here. This has cost me thousands of dollars. When I called TAHO and told them that her spay site was infected, the receptionist on the phone said that there was nothing they could do and that they would not help me.

This is a great organization who truly help people and their pets! Our dog Sadie was dying two years ago from a uterine infection. She was so so sick, but TAHO got her in for emergency surgery for a faction of the cost of other vets (which we could not afford). Happy to say our girl is still with us 2 years later (first picture is recent - the other pictures were from when she was so sick and wouldn’t eat, drink or move from that spot in the floor)! Thank you TAHO! Thank you, thank you!
