Villages of Wildwood Apartments reviews
25Lived here for two years. Management is a joke. They tell you all the things they’ll do up until you sign that lease then they turn around and say “It wasn’t in writing, we have no obligation to do that”. Maintenance was a joke. Everything was a bandaid until it was damaged beyond repair. Our electricity was out for three days in the winter because the company didn’t want to pay a contractor extra to come on a weekend. They were also perfectly content to leave 4 units without hot water for 4 days because, again, they didn’t want to have to pay extra for the contractor to come. When we moved in, we paid a pet deposit for any damages that might occur due to pets. We left and they charged us for carpet replacement and some seal they put down that the pet deposit would more than cover and when I called, they said “well it doesn’t cover that” even though.again.it was from the pet. They do not care at all for the tenants. Which is unfortunate because the apartments themselves have great floorplans. Just another example of how poor management ruins properties.
I called and made an appointment for a viewing with no issues. They were pretty nice and were able to provide the rent rates and amenities. They said they had a few units available to view that fit the criteria I had asked for. It all seemed okay, the community was huge but there were plenty of signs to show you how to get to the clubhouse. The lady who assisted us was incredibly uninformed and when I asked for the floor plans she only provided me with one. She went over the rent amount and fees and that was about it. She asked us to follow her car to the unit so we went. This lady was driving so fast that we almost lost her because she would not slow down and wait for us. That was just the start. We get to the unit (that we initially drove past because she missed it) and the building was absolutely disgusting. It smelled bad upon entrance and there were food crumbs all over the floor. Apparently this was not a model, tenants had recently moved out. She literally showed us the nastiest unit I have ever seen in my life. The floor was uneven and squeaky, the walls were discolored and stained. The sliding doors to the in laundry unit were rusted and we had to squeeze by because we were unable to open or close them. The bathroom was just foul and smelled like mold. She had very little knowledge about anything we asked and did not really seem to care that we were potential tenants. All we got was a sorry someone just moved out. I would have given it another shot but she was just not helpful and I have no idea why anyone would show a unit that's not a model, or at least one that's not disgusting. Please read the reviews because I have a feeling they are all true. Prices are great but I guess you get what you pay for here.
15 years ago, this place was booming. Affordable luxury style apartments with a golf course, a pub, and other typical amenities you would expect.
I'm not sure what happened but this place has gone down hill and crashed big time.
I contacted the property through an apartment sight, I got one email back from Christian and I told him I wanted to ask a few questions and then come in for a tour and I never heard from him again, super unprofessional. I've gone elsewhere.
