I made an appointment, and when I arrived I was told the car sold "last night after close" and no one notified me.
Then after leaving I received multiple calls from them and the sales person on the phone asked me if I was still interested in the car and might want to come in. When I informed him that the car at sold he said he must've "missed the email. " All the while the listing is still active and shows the car still available on their website.
Whatever is happening here, it's definitely not honest.

So In April of 2020 I bought a brand new z4 from Portland BMW. To be honest, this is my first “nice” car and I have to say the entire process was great. The few times I’ve had this car into the shop my service advisor Will was beyond helpful. If I could give him a sixth star he’d absolutely have it. Im truly treated like royalty when I go in.

A couple weeks ago I had my passenger side window shattered/vandalized in my home parking spot. Will shot me to the top of his list to get my car indoors Incase rainy portland, got rainy. After endless back and forth and trouble with my insurance company to get their help/approval I was at my wits end. Will swooped in and settled everything with my insurance company effortlessly. It was mind blowing and (to say the least) a relief. He even applied a coupon I received from BMW by email after the write up to the transaction. I can’t express it enough. EVERY situation with them has been well beyond helpful and stress free. Will is a beast! Thanks so much you all!

I bought a BMW X3 in May of 2020, and decided to get Lithia’s extended warranty. It turns out this was a big mistake. I sold the BMW in April of this year. I submitted all necessary paperwork to cancel the warranty, and issue a refund for the remaining policy a week after I sold it. Its now the middle of June and Lithia still has not canceled it. The last email I received from the finance manager said that exact thing too. Somehow I’ve done everything I was asked to do but they just will not cancel this policy and refund my money. They owe me over $2000! As of June 16th they are no longer returning my emails or phone calls. I’ve never had this happen before and because of it, I will never do business at another Lithia. Nor, will I ever buy another extended car warranty from any dealer. I warn anyone that reads this, stay away from this place.

The sales guy named Wayde or Wayne was just terrible. He didn’t even ask for my name or anything. He seem like he didn’t want to help me get a car. I was ready to purchase a car that day too. So I said eff him. I decided Not to buy the 100K car and left to Mercedes instead.

We shopped around at several dealerships and test drove about 8 cars. The folks at Portland BMW were by far the most knowledgeable, attentive and yet low pressure. Dave and Duane helped in sales and were really great to work with. Jamie was another super nice guy and big help in learning all of the controls and setting up preferences. The price we paid felt very fair and we had a very brief and hassle free negotiation. The only negative was the paperwork guy who really pushed his extended warranty for another 4K.we declined. We picked BMW over Audi for reliability. Hope we made the right choice.

My wife and I made the trip up north from the Eugene area to take a look at a used BMW that I inquired about via email. Greg responded to my email and gave me a fair trade value range for my car pending inspection immediately. We were greeted by their front desk receptionist and walked to a waiting area inside the lobby. Greg was friendly and courteous from the start. He mentioned that there were three different cars that fit my search and had narrowed it down to two of them for me based on what features and trim packages they were equipped with. The car that he recommended was the one that had the most bang for its buck and was not the one that I found initially. Greg was prepared, organized, and knowledgeable about the vehicles. After signing some documents we took the car for a test drive as they inspected our trade in. We loved the new car and were floored with the features. Greg greeted us as we pulled back in and offered us the high end of the range for our trade in. We agreed on a deal and began the paper work process. We had brought our youngest son with us on the road trip and car buying experience. He was noticeably bored and Greg asked if he could “show him around” as we signed paper work. Greg and our youngest son returned with a BMW R/C car that my son was able to pick out for being so patient. We had an issue that came up a few days later and Greg had the resolution for us within 15 minutes. I have never worked with such a transparent and courteous sales rep in my life. Greg is a class act and BMW of Portland is lucky to have such a gem at their store.

Caution! Service likes to sell you things you don't need or even authorized. Lots of stories of peoples batteries being replaced at exorbitant cost without needing them. Please share your stories below! Will Wahlin then aggressively stares you down when called out on his obvious playing stupid. One minute he knows everything about the system to try and sell a battery. Next he has no clue why your car is having all kinds of new issues after a simple oil change. Stay far away!

Trying to drop off a car for service is a circus. Waited 20+ minutes to be seen by a service advisor, and then another 20 minutes to get a loaner car.and that is with an appointment.

Terrible service from BMW, $175 for a key and it fails after 2.5 years. “Nothing we can do”

There is a reason so many automotive related forums on the Internet tefer to dealers as "stealers. " Very poor customer service, lots of expensive parts changing where better diagnostic skills may be in order, vitrually no parking, rude and defensive "service advisor" who loves to talk over the customer, excessively high parts prices, etc. I high recommend potential customers look to another dealership for vehicle purchasing or service unless you revel in masochism.

Another awesome experience at BMW Portland. David Padgalskas is the man! Easily saved $100+/month by heading down to Portland from the Seattle area. David went above and beyond and answered all of my numerous questions throughout the process and got me another great deal on an awesome 340i. Kourosh Homayoun was also very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Would highly recommend Portland to anyone looking for a BMW in the PNW!

Edit to my one star a week ago - Thank you Shawn -
I received a follow up call today and Shawn has taken care of the charge for me. There are charges for work above a standard oil change but those services were not explained or approved so he has waived the fee. The $85 is for diagnostic review of the vehicle. Thank you Shawn for your great customer service and helping me today.
