Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn, Seaside OR

The view was great and the location was great, but the fact that they came and poured chemical solution into the pool with my kids playing durring a scheduled time is completely rediculous and when I said something to the front desk she just said okay. The lady that was there the following morning (bethany) was amazing and if not for her being so kind and helpful I would've only done 1 star.

Absolutely horrible customer service! No common courtesy to cancel a reservation for a person who had called to confirm the parameters for check in. It doesn't take long to give a phone call in regards to the situation. I'm speaking now to management who has basically stated it isn't her problem. I'm very disappointed in this "lodging" experience and hope they don't continue to scam others into believing they'll enjoy a stay. If you have children, this manager has also made remarks in regards to not caring for the safety of them and she will not take any steps to ensure that safety.

Great room and rates! Our no view room actually had a view! Rooms are quiet and all staff were polite and helpful! Definitely staying here again next time were in seaside!

The room was super clean. The kids were so excited that this hotel had an open pool. The maintenance and night crew were awesome!

Ebb Tide is a nice place to stay! I love that they allowed dogs in the rooms. The staff I interacted with was nice and cordial. The view of the Pacific from our room was outstanding!

I've visited Seaside many times over the years from childhood and this is my first time staying at Ebb Tide. The location is wonderful, even without an oceanfront view. It's pretty rainy and windy this weekend so walking is possible if you are okay with getting pretty wet. This would be a perfect location if it was just a little nicer weather to not have the need to drive during your stay. We are on the first floor and it has been very quiet. The bed is comfortable, the fireplace in the room is wonderful and the free movie rentals are a huge hit. To top it off breakfast was delicious and the staff is exceptionally friendly! It's been a wonderful stay!

This is an older hotel but the prices were very affordable. Even though the room was outdated it was extremely clean and the bed was newer and super comfortable, and had really nice linens. We got an oceanfront room and the view was amazing. Located right on the beach there is a great sidewalk I used for running. We were able to bring our greyhound and that was wonderful. Will definitely be back.

We spent a few days here with family while on vacation in Oregon. Wonderful views, and it is walking distance to the beach which was nice for building sand castles and hanging out for the views. If you're new to Pacific Coast, always take long sleeves (sometimes jackets) to the beach. Even on warm days, the wind blowing on shore can get cold and make the air temp in the 60s, while a 1/2 mile away in town it may be mid 70s.

I've stayed at the Ebb Tide Inn twice and they have an exceptional place there, GREAT OCEAN VIEW too!

This is a great place to stay. They did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. I plan on returning in the future.

One of the best maintaned older hotels I've ever seen. Really nice bed. Extremely clean rooms. Looks rough from the outside, but they take extremely good care of the inside. Towels we're fresh, and they have clean removable comforter covers. Something you'd expect from a much more expensive hotel.

Rooms were okay. There were very clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was way better than your standard hotel/motel. And the 3rd floor ocean view was great.

Value was great. Hotel was a bit dated and the carpet had a few stains, but nothing felt dirty. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Location is immaculate, the beach is literally seconds away. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Its a bit older. But very clean shower is pretty amazing! Love all the shelf space! Smells very clean no old room smell! Gotta love that! We will for sure come back! They are also doing some remodling!

It's end of season so stains on the rug. Could here the people in the next room and the child running around upstairs. The bathtub creaked when you use the shower and there was a hole in the shower wall. It's a 2 star hotel that needs a little work.

At first, I left a one star because I was originally met with a great deal of disappointment and a staff member that basically broke the camel's back. I wanted to cry as it was my honeymoon and nothing about my experience at Ebb Tide was going well. But by the second night, after talking with a friendly maintenance guy, it totally turned around my experience. The place is outdated, there was mold growing in the grout in the bathroom, a bathroom faucet that wouldn't shut off, the ticking of the fireplace timer that takes away from the ambiance, the lack of insulation between rooms so lots of pounding and CONSTANT 24/7 water running day and night as well as wind banging and coming through the door. BUT, we stuck some newspaper in the door and that took care of that and the staff ended up being really nice and friendly - totally took the zero experience and elevated it. Happy, friendly staff make a HUGE difference to the appeal of the place. When you feel like you matter as a person and you aren't just yet another customer - makes a HUGE difference. And I get it, you meet so many people that it starts becoming a sterile experience but I have to say for me, it really elevated my time there. I can't get back the first night of my honeymoon but at least the rest went well! Yes, lots of repairs and updating needs to be done in time but they have a CLEAN bed - no bed bugs, great view and the staff can make a huge difference. For me there were 3 people who made it for me - 1. Katie, the lady who cleaned my room the second day. First one didn't do anything special and didn't even leave it as nice as when I first arrived - didn't clean the table, didn't leave taffy on the bed (the little things that make the quality of your stay). But Katie went above and beyond. She's AWESOME! A true KEEPER! 2. The maintenance guy. I think he must be more than the maintenance guy because his loyalty towards the place and his super pleasant demeanor really turned around my stay. 3. The cheerful lady at the desk when I came to get some more coffee. Great smile and nice personality! Pros: Great Staff, Great Ocean View albeit across a grassy dune, Seagulls that fly to your window to eat from your hand, Clean Bed and great in room coffee! Cons: Serious updating needs to be done - on an immediate level I would say the plugins as they are really worn out and a couple power strips for the guests or else guests, make sure and pack your power strips because there aren't many here and they are worn out so most plugs just fall out or won't make a connection. Plus at the top of the stairs the ground is uneven and I nearly twisted my ankle which would have meant a terrible spill down the stairs. I would also suggest a little more stocking in the kitchen such as a toaster, nutcrackers for shellfish and a couple wine glasses because it's the beach - many come for the romantic experience and those are typical things I've seen in almost all other motels at the beach I've stayed at. But those are just suggestions. If I come again, I'll know to plan more in advance.:) For those planning to stay, I would suggest a room away from the laundry areas and the stairs. I think perhaps our experience was more noisy than most due to the location. To the staff: Thanks again for turning my experience around to a positive one.:)
