Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn, Seaside OR

I spent the weekend here. They had free video rentals. The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is a little run down but clean.

This is our favorite hotel to stay at when we go to Seaside. Their staff is always friendly and the rooms are great. The breakfast they offer is also really good. All around this is the best hotel I've stayed at.

This place is cool, the rooms are so cozy, its right on the beach, the weather was good, the price is affordable for sure. Plus I've been coming here for years.

While the Ebb Tide is definitely one of the older motel style hotels on the promenade, it is very well kept and they are slowly working through room renovations. The staff is very friendly, the location is fantastic, and the ocean views are phenomenal. Loved having a fireplace in the room since we were there on a stormy weekend in November. If you're looking for the newest and shiniest, not the place for you, but if you like a bit of character and unbeatable location, definitely make a reservation here.

We've stayed here twice now, and it's definitely a favorite. The rooms are cozy and clean with fireplaces and are pet friendly. They have DVDs to rent in the lobby, a decent free breakfast, and delicious cookies every night at 7. The pool/hot tub/sauna are always clean and such a great way to warm up after a chilly day on the coast. The staff is always courteous and kind and they're reasonably priced, especially for having such a prime location. Only one star off because they're not the most up to date rooms but they are renovating!

Dated room. Easy access to the beach. Clean pool and hot tub area. Really good continental breakfast. Excellent value for a beachside hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. I enjoyed having 2 bedrooms, one for the kids and one for us with a standard double oceanfront queen room. Kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the breakfast included with the room. Fresh baked cookies in the evening was a nice surprise. Definitely would stay here again for the affordability of room and the extra perks.

The carpet in the room was old and dirty, chaird were with stains and totally the room was very old and not maintained well. However, the beach view from 2nd floor is too good and it is very close to the ocean front.

I didn't warrant a call back when I asked to speak with a manager. And despite responses to my review, that doesn't change the issues with this place. Something has happened that has made all of the recent reviews bad.

I stayed here November 2-4 in room 111 for my son's birthday trip. This was my first and last time staying at the Ebb Tide.

The good:
- The location is great
- The staff that I actually talked to were nice (although there is one bad point, see below)
- The room had a separate bedroom, which is great when traveling with kids, and the whole room was spacious
- Having a kitchenette was helpful

The bad:
- The property is old and the walls allow EVERY sound to come through
- The bedroom is on the parking lot side and you will hear every car beeping open and closed, especially on the ground floor
- The "view" is of the dunes and people walking by while looking back at you
- Our fireplace didn't work

The ugly:
- The carpet is literally crunchy it's so dirty
- One of the chairs had a mystery stain
- The heater had some sort of mystery stain as well
- Mold in the bathroom
- Garbage left in a drawer
- Weird staining on the walls
- The gap under the door allowed cold air in
- A kitchen cabinet door was hanging and was hard to get closed
- The inside of the freezer was dirty
- There's broken tile in the bathroom and the kitchen cabinets are falling apart along the end
- When I pulled back the sheets on the bed in the main room, I found hair in the bed
- Oh, and the DIRTY PAIR OF UNDERWEAR THAT WAS NEXT TO THE BED
- After finding the undies and hairy bed, I went to the office. Proper customer service would have been to move us into a clean room at that point but that wasn't offered. Maybe I should've been sterner (I try not to be rude to staff, especially in front of my child, and most definitely not to ruin his birthday trip) but seriously this was bad. New sheets were delivered and I made the bed.

I've stayed in a lot of places and without a doubt, this was the worst. Never again, there are MUCH better places to stay.

Everyone here, from the front desk to the pool maintenance tech have been so friendly and helpful and they really make the extra effort to make your stay the best possible. Our view was awesome, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was great. Walking distance to anything you'd want. We'll be back for sure.

Great place. Pet friendly, very comfortable bed. Right next to the beach with a pool and breakfast included.

Awesome! Love staying here! It is an older hotel so it has its quirks. Great staff and close to everything.
