People are nice enough, but the outside ATM rejects deposits as much as it accepts them. Especially the larger business sized checks. This is infuriating when you just need to deposit money and leave. I work during the day so coming in during banker's hours is a challenge. I have occasional problems with other ATMs but nothing like the consistency of failure of this one.

I can appreciate change and innovation but I am NOT a fan of the waiting system here at this location. I feel like I’m at DMV. They took my name and told me to take a seat. I much prefer the traditional style. I hate that as I sit and wait, I can hear everyone’s banking issues. Feels like zero privacy. Makes me extremely uncomfortable. Even tho it’s a mile further, I’m going to the one near Tanasborne instead.

I tried to open an account at FTCU Cedar Hills. The clerk spent over an hour, at which time I had to leave, but even then she did not have time to give me checks or a debit card. I came back the next day to close my account and got a cashier's check. I tried to deposit it to my other account, but the FTCU ATM rejected the deposit and would not return the check. People at FTCU were totally confused about how to give me my check back. I had to return three times, notarize forms, wait. I recommend FTCU only to those with lots of time to waste.

Anthony B.told me he would reach out the very next day with an update on my application, it’s now been three days and nothing. Very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless it’s a basic transfer or deposit

Do NOT use this organization for your financial needs. They are not customer focused - one phone number for customer support. Ridiculous hold time. Want to charge me an inactivity fee for the account I have there that I didn't sign up for. It was opened as a result of my mortgage being sold because they service it. Wish it was still with my original lender.

So. My family and myslef have been with FTCU for a good amount of years. I have NEVER had a problem with staff nor my account.they always are attentive and have warned us when they have notices suspicious activity. The old location was Good. This new location. Not so much. I think a lot of members were excited for a new location but miss the layout that it once was. Upgrading is good but perhaps the vision went differently while planning.

I still love the bank and its Staff I just choose to avoid coming inside.

I just wanted to deposit some cash. I always have problems at ATMs with my first tech card so I wanted to go to a drive up teller. They don’t have a drive up teller at this branch so I had to go inside. In order to serve you they have to take you into a private room that feels like a interrogation room. All to deposit some cash. They have a limited number of rooms so if they have several customers expect to wait. The entire layout makes the experience inconvenient and uncomfortable.

When I walked in I was taken by surprise by the layout. There are standing desk stations throughout the main area of the floor space where bank staff were conducting business with customers on laptops. It looks like there was suppossed to be a check-in system, but no one was manning the desk for check in, so there were people backed out the door. Once checked in, we were advised to go sit down. A bank rep did call my name and great me with friendliness, but I could not help but think all this back and forth business wastes teller time when clearly there are plenty of customers to help.

I don't feel like the tellers or my personal information is safe in this environment either. I observed teller staff walking away from their unsecured computers to walk across the room to great clients, get cash, cashier's checks, etc from a machine located in a corner. There is nothing to prevent any stranger walking around to see information on the laptop, as anyone can access the desks from any side.

I did not like this at all. When I commented to the teller about the unique nature of the set-up she gave a response that I consider very canned, "Its very innovative. We like it, " and moved on with the conversation, making it clear my concerns were not welcome. If this is the model 1st Tech intends to pursue at other locations, I will be moving my business elsewhere.

I applaud the attempt. However, this branch is a failure. I have been a member for over 30 years and done lots of business with FTCU. I have never been to this branch without having to walk across tbe branch, past any potentially busy free-standing kiosks to the waiting area. Why is tbe waiting area the furthest it could possibly be from the entrance? Today I went in to cash a small check. I was the 3rd person to join the waiting process. There was exactly 1 employee at a kiosk and the lovely door attendant in sight for the 5 minutes I sat. I gave up and used the ATM to deposit and then withdraw the funds. The layout and operation of this particular branch is ridiculous. I look forward to the eventual remodel.

The system they use to check you in at the door makes doing even the simplest banking take FOREVER. I do not look forward to visiting this branch, but the others are great. They make you wait in a weird waiting area even for the smallest things like withdrawals and transfers. It would be much faster and less awekward for everyone if we just waited in line. This turns a simple banking errand feel like a huge ordeal. It’s great if you plan to spend an hour there and need to meet with an associate one on one but if you want to get in and out quickly this is not a good place to go.

This is the BEST bank ever. So modern and everyone is so helpful. No wait time and every bank can learn from them. Thank you so much

Have been a first tech customer for almost 10 years, really dislike the new format, as well as conducting the transaction out in the open with no privacy. Waited for 20 minutes just to withdraw some money. Will be looking for a new bank ASAP.

I’ve been with first tech for 10+ years, and I’ve never had an issue with anything regarding my accounts, or the customer service. Today I had one of the worst experiences at ANY branch I’ve ever been to. The customer service at this location, especially with the “manager”, Maryssa, was terrible and unwelcoming. She had a nasty attitude the minute my friend and I walked in. She interrupted me many times and basically disregarded everything that I had to say. She rolled her eyes as I was talking to her and was very unpleasant and unprofessional. The wait is always ridiculously long, other customers were complain about it every time I’m in there as well. I will NEVER come back to this branch because of the rudeness and horrible customer service. She was no help whatsoever, and she should not be working with the public if she’s going to have a such a nasty attitude, and we weren’t the only ones that noticed it. As long as she is still an employee there, I will not be returning.

I dread coming to this branch. You have to conduct your business in the middle of the floor, they have a terrible waiting system paired with the small size often results in people standing outside, or in a doorway, and the staff seem confused by who can handle what task, resulting in even longer wait times. We lost the excellent SW 153rd branch for this. Go to any other branch for a better experience, the extra drive is worth it.

In looking up the phone number for this location I now see I'm not the only person with an issue with the customer service here. I will leave my post for whatever it's worth.

This location seemed to have a range of services when I looked on the first tech site, so I stopped in as I had questions about their CD products.

Went in today to go over some items about a CD for a not insignificant amount of money and to see about establishing an interaction with this branch. I was trying to decide where to take my business in the future.

In all of my previous experiences with this type of banking I would get channeled to a more specialized person or area. Typically after someone asks me a bit about what I'm in for. This is usually done because on a CD the bank is going to make some money off my money.

Well this branch is quite different. I get sent to wait on some couches after getting my name put on the list when I say talking about CDs. I think okay that's fine it's a bit different.

I wait around for probably 20 mins having no idea why lots of people are getting in after me and getting service.

One person finally fills me in that they need an open room. I'm told 10 mins. 10 mins comes and goes. I walk around looking at the rooms.

Looks like 3 have nobody in them and yet I'm not seen. As I walk around looking in doors or the rooms not a single bank employee asks me what I'm doing or if I need help.

As I'm standing there someone comes out of a room and brings in two people who had arrived only 10mins prior. I'm left to keep waiting.

I walk up to the person with the clipboard and tell her the description of events above. I've been in the bank around 40mins now. The bank staff standing next to the clipboard person goes. Yeah he has been waiting for a room for a long time.

Neither person explains why I was left waiting as rooms sat empty or why people arriving after me where placed into rooms. I left as I was done dealing with the inefficient clipboard system. I'm likely opening a CD elsewhere as I don't think I want to try a different branch at all. I might copy and paste this review into a corporate email contact addy if I can find it and they can figure out if it's worth looking into this

Bottom line - you see all the one star reviews on the branch. This branch earned them. Maybe it's fine for common deposit and transactions, but anything else I doubt it.

Also to the social media inspector.save the boiler plate response about showing the leadership team. I see a number of them over the course of time here. It seems the leadership team doesn't care.

I’m kind of surprised at all of the complaints that I am reading about the new branch. As soon as I got through the door, I was greeted and then assigned to someone to help me with my accounts. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.

Sure, it doesn’t look like your typical bank, but I love the new layout. I also like the fact that I can go to one person and they are now cross trained to handle various types of transactions.

As for complaints that there is no privacy, that is not true. If you do not want others to hear what you are saying, there are private rooms that anyone can go to.

The only complaint that I do have is regarding restroom facilities. In the former branch there was a restroom for men and a restroom for women. Now there is only one toilet available for all. That was definitely a poor move!

I do have one suggestion… In the waiting area it would be nice to have a Keurig machine.

(I accidentally posted this review on the website for another branch)

Horrible Customer Service!

Ever since First Tech switched owners, the quality of First Tech’s Service is horrible. I recently spoke with a Customer Service representative that couldn’t even find my account by exact number or by my name. The individual sounded High or drunk on the phone, slurring their words while doing nothing.

In the background was a bunch of voices indicating a call-center and outsourced service. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was put on hold for five minutes. The individual picked up and actually said exasperatedly sighing, “You’re still there? Fine! I’ll just transfer you to someone else.is this debit or credit? ”
I responded, “No, I’ve supplied my account twice”. To which she said “Someone will contact you in one business day. How was your experience today? ”. Horrible!

Contact by email now receives Offshore templates in response and invalid information. Trying to get ahold of anyone who actually works for First Tech is impossible and gets a response of “. Will contact you in one business day. ”. And there is Zero follow-up.

The “new” First Tech is like the “new” Coke.an apple that has fallen FAR from the tree!
