Hotel deLuxe reviews
45Hands down my favorite hotel in Portland. The rooms are nice it has a classic old Portland vibe and rightly so as it's one of the older luxury hotels in Portland. If it was a cold winter during the snowy season many of Portland's hill dwelling elites would call this home away from home. The Driftwood room is a cozy romantic little bar room dimly lit and welcoming. Gracie's restaurant has amazing food like their famous german pancakes which are to die for!
Really nice hotel. Older, classic architecture. I tell me friends to stay there when visiting. Convenient walk from my apartment to meet them.
This awesome hotel deserves all 5 stars. From the room, bar, and restaurant everything was perfect. Hotel staff was amazing for evening that was needed. Thank you!
It was an excellent place to stay. The service was nothing short of amazing. Really everyone was so helpful and friendly and made are stay perfect. It was within walking distance from most anything you could need or want to go to. It was a wonderful weeks stay here. The single bed rooms were a tad small and no counter space in the bathroom but other than that it was perfect.
The ambience is very nice and it's very clean. The bat was nice and the bar tenders were super friendly. The reason I'm only giving it 3 stars was due to the check in staff. The desk workers were not friendly in the least. The first thing people see on entering a hotel is the welcome they receive which in this case was very cold.
Had the best Singapore Sling at the bar. Haven't ever heard of this drink? Don't like the taste of alcohol? This is the drink for you to try. Love them!
Glamorous, beautiful place, clean and comfortable rooms, fun bar with very good drinks. Front desk is very helpful and nice. The robes are so comfortable and the room service was delicious.
Hotel is very unique, if you travel internationally, you will not mind the bathrooms. Food is tremendous, English tea service is a must.
Fabulous hotel in the heart of Portland Oregon. The architecture of this great building is something to see. Its dining room is grand and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. The Hotel deLuxe is centrally located with easy access to all the great restaurants and shopping in downtown Portland.
I travel for work and end up staying in hotels about 5-12 days per month - this is one of the better and more comfortable hotels I've been to. Great laid back and friendly staff, beautiful decor, clean and very comfortable rooms with A+ beds & bedding.
The room was quiet, temperature in the room was easy to control, extra blanket was in the closet and extra pillows could be ordered (though I loved the pillows that were in the room), closet came with enough hangers for all of my stuff, electric was updated with usb charging I could easily reach from the bed and lights with adjustable dimmers that were easy on the eyes, shower temperature and pressure were just fine, lighting in the bathroom was perfect as well, the bathrobe matched the decor (which I loved!), black-out curtains did their job very well and there was a nice selection of teas/coffee I could make in the room: absolutely nothing more I could ask for. The Driftwood bar downstairs was nice, with very good cocktails and good food. To top it all off, Deluxe is actually very affordable for the offer - I've paid more for more 'upscale' hotels and received much less for the money. Overall a very pleasant experience - I came for 2 nights on a business trip, and ended up extending my reservation by 2 more nights to stay, enjoy the city and relax. Will definitely be back to this hotel next time I'm in Portland.
Gracie's restaurant in the hotel deluxe is probably my favorite place for breakfast or brunch in Portland. The room is gloriously decorated, and I always feel as if I'm very special when I walk in there. And the menu is terrific. Best of all, they have great coffee! I really recommend it as a place to go when you have something to celebrate, or someone special to be with, or just because you want a wonderful breakfast.
Wonderful experience all around. We loved the pillow menu, and the room service was quick and delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful, and kind from check in to check out.
I’ve stayed twice and loved it. It’s beautiful and meticulous. The Driftwood bar is very special. The beds are ohhh so comfy.
Had a great experience here! They went out of there way too make us feel as comfortable as possible! Great location, super close to all the best spots downtown.
Service is top notch! Room is large and clean. Room service is quick and reasonably priced. Location seems good. Within a short walking distance to Powell's and restaurants. I'd stay here again.
Great vintage building with the modern conveniences. The staff are very friendly. And generous. When they heard we were there to get married we were given a lovely suite upgrade. And the workout room has enough equipment to keep the bones moving. This is my favorite place to stay in Portland.
The staff at this hotel were exceedingly friendly and hotel and the location was amazing. A quick drive or public transit away from the zoo, japanese garden, and other great sites and a quick walk away from great dining and shopping
We had our wedding supper at their restaurant Gracies. So we return each anniversary. Great hotel.great but dark bar and nice staff.
Good location in downtown Portland with a art deco Hollywood feel. The rooms are nice and clean, but a little on the cozy side. The theme also seems odd, since I don't really associate Portland with silver screen Hollywood.
Tip: Self parking in the garage next door is expensive. Park on the street and feed the meter in the morning or pay for valet because you have in and out privileges.
I liked it but the hotel rose is better. Also, there is one girl at the front desk you should look out for, bad eyebrows and is really snappy and quite impatient.
