McCormick & Schmick's Harborside at the Marina reviews
46Shawn & Joe were our waiters. We went on the first night of full opening after C-19 restrictions, they were hammered. I speak slowly and process slower. They were patient, very informative and attentive but not pesty poo. It was a great experience for this MS relapse Old Dude.
Harborside sure hasn't kept up with quality after original owners sold it. M&S had a 5-star restaurant but Landrys has not kept it up. Torn booth cushions, untidy restrooms even when restaurant just opened, sticky table tops, etc. Meals nothing special. We won't be going back.
Very yummy, quick and attentive service, but they don't know the meaning of a rare steak. My entire table ordered our steaks and each one was medium rare to straight up medium. What the heck.
Oh well.
Brian took good care of us again. We split filet mignon & lobster tail with some great red wine.
The Pacific Bay oysters were amazing and the prices for them were reasonable. The rockfish was good but way overpriced for the amount of food you are given. We loved our waiter and he was very good to us. I'm only giving three stars because the prices were inflated, the plates were large and I just couldn't see the value. Big plates small food!
Great menu variety, well prepared food, deliciously presented in an exquisite waterfront Portland setting.
Stay away from the Dungeness crab tower for an app, not worth it. The mixed seafood grill trio was very good, as well as the filet and stuffed shrimp. Great location on the riverwalk. Very nice spot.
Our food was ok. The best dinner was the crab stuffed shrimp, it had great flavor and sides. The worse was the pan seared halibut, dry and no flavors. The sad thing is the worse plate was the recommendation. The service was good till the plates were cleared and trash was obviously left behind, but they filled up water and were fairly attentive. The lobster bisque was the best appetizer. Pass on the clam chowder and the coconut shrimp.you can get them better elsewhere. The chocolate mousse cake was not too chocolatey, some loved it and the chocolate lover at our table said it was good but she wouldn't order it again. The creme brulee had a great crack and the edges were perfectly carmelized but the middle was over toasted and tasted a bit burnt. Over all the meal was ok but not great, the plates aren't cleaned before serving them and they could be a bit nicer in the display. The view was beautiful of the river life of Portland though.
I give 5 stars because they prepared the dish which wasnt on the menu, very cozy place friendly staff and amazing views.
Just OK.
My wife had the filet which was fine but why do you need to have to order a side of potato? Can't the entree complete. I tried to order the "Any fish" option only to find this didn't work. All very inflexible hence the rating
A pretty neat location, the menu is pretty good and the bathrooms were a little underwhelming for the rest of the building.
Check it out.
Went here for a special date. Beautiful ambiance, fantastic food, and thoughtful staff. Caught wait to come back.
My 1st trip to this M&S, did not change my opinion that M&S ain't what it used to be.but I will give it one more go round. Nice location, but all too often that is a guarantee the food will be mediocre
Good food. Definitely feel it's overpriced. You but a steak, if you want potatoes or something, it costs more. Oh and their silk chocolate pie tastes like straight frosting. It was very very thick. Not something I'd order again.
Excellent fish options but one in our party had the Kobe beef burger and said it was excellent. Our server Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
It certainly seems overpriced for the quality. Spend your money at the vast number of local restaurants!
Really nice seafood. Had scallops the first time. I ended up getting swordfish the next. Both dishes were terrific.
Great view of waterfront. Nice Happy Hour drinks and food. Catch a streetcar from downtown to avoid traffic and parking.
Nice location. The place was full. My food arrived not as hot as I would have expected. They took it back to make it hot. The server was great.
