Portland Nursery

At one time you couldn't throw a rock in Portland without hitting a nursery. Sadly, like most of what made Portland special, they're almost all gone.

What was really great were the specialty nurseries. You could find nurseries that dealt in a narrow range of products, but carried everything imaginable within that spectrum. Nurseries specializing in rhododendrons, fruit trees, bush berries, vine berries, vegetables, etc. Now it's the same two colors of rhododendrons and the four kinds of fruit trees everywhere.

Compared to other nurseries/garden centers in Portland today, Portland Nursery is very good, compared to what we used to have, it's very poor.

In my mind it's three stars at best, but by today's standards, four stars. Expect to pay full retail for everything.

Huge selection, helpful staff and pretty reasonable prices all tucked into a cute little corner of Portland. Very excited to have found this place.

Wonderful nursery. Large, alot of choices. Had everything we came for. Plants well cared for, very healthy. Have never lost any bushes we've purchased in past. Kinda spendy but well worth it.
