I’ve just picked up keys to my new place. The process of applying and paying initial deposits and getting keys has been a pleasant experience even during this difficult time of Covid 19. They conducted business smoothly while taking the necessary health precautions, fully taking advantage of their electronic application and lease signing process. The staff was transparent in their policy, even offering a application fee refund, or transferring my application to a new availability, if the person before had moved forward with their application.

I want to give props to Michelle for promptly answering any questions I had during this process and being responsive to maintenance questions that I had. I look forward to living in my new place and recommend anyone looking to apply for a RMS place during covid 19 to go for it!

Absolutely horrible rental company. DO NOT RENT from them. They have lied to me several times about policies and it seems as if they deliberately confuse you to take your money. I had to speak to a lawyer about their deceptions. Don't be fooled by Michelle or Ryan. They seem nice but in the end will screw you over for money. This company is truly awful. Wow. Never in my entire life have I been treated so badly by a rental agency. Incredibly disrespectful and racist company. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Lived at one of their places for three years. Never any problems. When my apartment had any issues, they were quick to respond and send someone. Both understanding and compassionate. 2016-2019 to be exact. Always articulate with them, always understanding of any agreements.

I’ve never felt so taken care of! I moved from Colorado and it’s important to me that I feel safe in my home. The maintenance department hears it all from me (I don’t know much about taking care of a home - my other half isn’t here yet and takes care of the home) so I feel high maintenance sometimes, but even when they come check and it’s a simple fix they’re so kind and glad to be of help! And my requests are always taken care of as soon as possible (never taking more than a week) ; I’m very grateful these guys are on top of it.

They were great for the whole 2 years I rented from them.
When I moved out they declined to do a walk threw and told me I would receive my deposit in a month (+$800). Month down the road living in a different state I teceuve a bill for 1600. Bunch of bogus charges and ridiculous fees. These people are scandalous.

We moved cross country to Portland in November 2018. Our experience with RMS up to date is exceptional. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. Michelle at RMS was very responsive from the time we applied for the rental all through our move in and small maintenance request. On the day we moved in, we were amazed how spotless clean the rental was. Moving long-distance is stressful enough. RMS ensured we felt right at home from the first day. Thank you!

Such a bad experience overall, I am not sure where to start. Their maintenance staff were rude and uncaring. They even tried to blame me, the tenant, for the basement flooding after a rain storm. They wanted to wait almost a week to replace a filter in the furnace when it stopped working in the middle of winter. And they made up a ridiculous story to take my deposit. Run fast if you see they are managing a property you are thinking of renting.

Be careful shady company. We had a verbal agreement on lease terms and they pulled a bait and switch on the paperwork and added a year. Even played voicemails of the agreement with the sales team to management! They charged me a significant amount for rent recovery and a $500.00 marketing fee. This put me in a very dire financial situation moving into my new place.

I see a lot of mixed reviews about this place so I took the time to read them. Most of the 1 star reviews are people being unhappy with this place making decisions that don’t go in their (the tenants) favor. I’ve never had too many reasons to contact RMS but every time I call they have always been incredibly kind and courteous and always done what they can to keep me happy. 5 stars from me thank you RMS.

RMSPDX did a great job managing the painting project of the townhome between the landlord and ourselves. We were pleased with the responsiveness and quick communication they had with us as the painters and the landlords which lived out of state. Issues that come up were quickly resolved and helped us make the project go by smoothly. Thank you to Kaydee Tobias for being the very helpful point of contact!

We've used RMS for more than a decade and have been so impressed with their services. They are responsive to tenants, which means our house is also well maintained, which we see as a win-win. They are resourceful with vendors, as our older home continually needs TLC. RMS has been great at finding good tenants in a timely way. The online portal for reports works seamlessly -I really recommend their services!

The worst rental company I've even had to deal with. We were lied to on multiple occasions, most of our messages didn't get responses, and they're just awful. I could write paragraphs of how awful this company has been but why waste my time. Don't rent from them, you'll absolutely regret it.

RMS was my first job in property management and tho I found a better opportunity, I could see they cared.
So then I bought a condo and when the time came, I asked RMS to manage it. They managed my rental for 2 years and were always on top of things! Owner funds were quickly deposited to my account, the one resident issue we had was resolved quickly, and I will be using them again once I become master of the universe!
My only complaint is that they're local and not national, as I've had a very bad experience with my rentals in the east coast; I wish RMS was there too!

CHANGED REVIEW: I received a showing yesterday and met with a very kind realtor named Rose. She was great. The house did not, however, reflect the posting as advertised. The posting said there were 5+ bedrooms but there were only 4. Also did not mention that others in unit below had access to house and would have to walk in and out through the main residence. Will be interested in hearing more on how they explain this. Will keep review updated.

If there was a 0 star I would give them that! They don’t even deserve a 1 star. I live at one of their properties (Ascott Firs) on SE 151st between stark and burnside, feel free to drive by and have a look at the property to see how it’s maintained, garbage everywhere, dog feces, the walkways and stairs never get power washed so there is mold and moss on everything. My washer which came with the unit gave out and I was informed by Reed at RMS that they just not putting any more money into fixing things at our complex so now I have to take my laundry off site to a laundromat.
If you see a property run by these idiots, run fast!
Taking this up with the better business bureau.
