Safeway, Milwaukie OR

Close to home. They don't carry a lot of basics that they used to. Store is clean, workers polite. I have a bad back and I can't seem to get the checkers to know what "don't pack my bags heavy" means!

I go there to buy a handful of ingredients, but it's too expensive to do all of my grocery shopping there. Sometimes it takes a painfully long time to check out.

Typically this Safeway is fully stalked. Produce is always very fresh and they have most of what i am looking for. They have a decent organic section. But could work on thier global food area. There's just not enough ethnic food choices.

Checkers should have hand sanitizer to use after handling one person's groceries before starting the next.

Very expensive. Otherwise it's like any other grocery store. (Includes gas station, with ok prices)

My favorite store for grocery shopping. The people are always very nice and helpful. I can get some things cheaper at winco but would rather pay a few cents more for a great and friendly shopping experience.

I just left this Safeway store. I spent around$33.00 and paid with a hundred dollar bill. As part of my change the cashier handed me back a 50. I asked if I could get smaller bills. He told me he had to give the largest bills for change so they can have change for other customers. Ok I understand that being the thing to do. Unless a customer asks specifically for smaller denominations No customer service there and I remember now why I stopped shopping at Safeway.

Friendly staff. Only thing close by since the Albertsons closed after Haggins bought them out and then closed the store anyway. Don't shop at Haggins. Lol

Never enough people ringing up customers. Expect long lines, and depressed employees. If you are in a hurry don't go here, you'll lose your mind. Also bring a chair if you need anything from the deli, they move at the speed of molasses. Barf

I like to visit on $5 Dollar Fridays. Lots of good deals. The markdown section is usually decent for selection at just about any Safeway

I guess I should like it as it's the only grocery store left in the city of Milwaukie proper, but every time I'm there the lines are long, the cashiers are surly, the aisles are cramped, and the prices are considerably higher than Fred Meyer. There are better options almost every where else.

Lines are loooong. Lots of natural choices which is great. Not a fan of all the hoops you have to go through to get the best price with your Safeway card or Safeway app. Just price it at the low price and be done with it! So many games.

The lines are usually terrible between the hours of 2pm and 5pm and the management never really seems to pay attention to labels and price match. Quiet irritating to have to check receipt every time I shop to make sure I wasn't overcharged

Check out lines extend into grocery aisles early evenings, 10+ customers deep.don't expect to stop by and grab a couple of items quickly for dinner.

Editing my review due to the mouse traps placed by the front door. This is either because the pest guy doesn't know what he's doing. Or the problem is so bad that they really need two separate traps inside the doors

This is my favorite Safeway store in the Milwaukee area, they're always friendly courteous and wonderful. I especially love the customer service. Also they have the best deli selection and the freshest selection I've seen. This store is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5.

Always nice every time I get to a cashier very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very slow I have some deals that I get from there just go there because I drive by the place on the way home I won't go out of my way

This is one of the happiest sfwy stores I have ever shopped in, always ready to help you and w/a smile too. They will get everyone they can in a checkstand if needed. Polite and with a smile- that's the best!

I called on a Tuesday Evening asking for 3 dozen donuts for my Grandaughters class room Birthday day, Chance took my order and had them ready long before I needed them the next day. Thanks! They do great donuts!

I go here mostly to the pharmacy. They are all wonderful people. Very helpful. Get texts when I need to renew. Especially like Wanda. Always friendly and real. I get food here and other items also. Get discounts on my gas from the pharmacy so I get my gas here too! Great place. Love the florist inside also. They have gorgeous flowers and plants and vases, candles, greeting cards. Always clean. Good deli too.
