25Always long lines. I typically avoid this location, because I have better things to do than wait in line.
It was a crying shame when the feds closed the Milwaukee Marketplace Albertsons. Now everybody has to go to Safeway and the lines are long and service slow. Not the store to go if you only have a few things to purchase.
After standing at the sandwich bar for 5 minutes and having made eye contact with the person behind the counter several times (who wasn't doing anything) I was told they could not make me a sandwich for some reason. Would have appreciated being told that when I first walked up. Other than poor deli service this Safeway was fine. Summer 2017
Clean grocery store with nice staff - it's too bad that Safeway's prices are so high. I only shop there for sale items, the pharmacy, and for quick fill-in shopping because they are the closest grocery store and pharmacy to me. No bulk food department. They do have a markdown area in their meat department that is often worth looking at. They have a hot deli with american and chinese entrees at semi-reasonable prices. Their donuts are good too.
However, food is MUCH cheaper at Winco which is a bit farther away on SE 82nd Ave, and they have a huge bulk department, but you have to bag your own groceries.
It's a safeway. Pretty much alike wherever you find them. Store brand uniquely palatable though
