The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium and Museum reviews
35The staff was helpful and fun. This is a very unique place that is so fun to visit! Great exhibits and awesome choices in the gift shop!
Was "just alright" for us. I little short lived for the admission fee, but definitely an interesting place.
This place was so cool! Only one floor but plenty to take in. They even have a little gift shop which I was in love with. The staff was friendly as well.
This place is freaky. It's a fun experience. Going back in August. I need a picture with the Sasquatch. The staff are great. Check this place out. I am flying in just for the Sasquatch We don't have many of them in Utah.
Purchased the birthday box for my son's birthday, and it was awesome. I've never seen so much random weirdness in one package. Not only did they rush it out to get it here for his birthday, but they searched through storage to add an item that wasn't on their website. Awesome store.awesome people running it.
My daughter and I visited from San Diego and was NOT disappointed! This place is awesome, it has some of the strangest but most fascinating things we've ever seen! It's packed with the most insanely intriguing items and displays, we must have spent a good hour and a half looking around. A must of you're visiting or live in Portland.
An absolute must see in Portland. How they can stuff so much useless yet fascinating death and occult related junk in one small warehouse is amazing. Jokes and gags around every corner. You'll take more pictures here than at Voodoo Donuts, that's for sure!
If you're fascinated or intrigued by weird, this place is for you! I'm a fan of both and I couldn't resist the opportunity to visit. The shop is small but it has so many odd and interesting things to catch your interest. I'm glad we took a beak from the typical tourist stops and came here! There isn't a long line and the staff was very friendly.
Magical place with an awesome staff. Full of freaky things and treasures. Great for weddings, and first dates. Best bug ice cream sundae in town!
Disappointing. Really looked forward to going and was excited but was a big let down. Saw it on the Travel channel or Discovery channel. They made it look much better than it really was
Honestly this was a complete waste. I was expecting something like Marshes in lng beach and got 1.5 small rooms of BS paper mache and crappy painting.
Awesome! I love weird and creepy things, and this place is a great collection of fun and bizarre. My kids loved it, too. Definitely worth the cheap $5 admission.
Cute little place, lots of things to see. Worth the few bucks admission. Try the scorpion sundae!
It's just ok, nothing too special. Felt ripped off paying 5 bucks to go through, it's about the size of my apartment and not a whole lot to see. Would have been ok with 2-3 dollars at most, but definitely not worth the 5 they charge.
Such an awesome gem! And a totally fun way to spend some time if you are short on cash! Only $5 to get in and tons of fun photo ops! The guy working the counter when we went was really awesome and helpful.
It's like stepping into a museum in a parallel dimension where things are just *slightly* different.
This place is loaded with art, curiosities, bizarre items, strange sights and sounds, and lots of fun. Don't go in with any specific expectations, just take it for what it is! The gift shop is LOADED with amazing art and strange things. I love this place!
It's the seed of something great, but the spirit of this cool collection is stagnant. It's too small and needs maintenance and updates. I'd skip this one since it's just someone's cash cow. The theme would be so easy to develop, but obviously no one cares to do it.
Worth checking out. Although I haven't been back since they started charging admission. Lots of fun art and odditys and snacks
A lot packed in to this three room museum of sorts. With it's interactive exhibits like, what it feels like to be buried alive, the $5 cover is money well spent. Not to mention they serve ice cream sundaes with a variety of real bug toppings.
