Yesterday we were informed that there were even more robberies in the gym and in several cars. I guess after the mail room was robbed, and all the computers in the public area, it still has not occurred to Dekalb to buy security cameras for our safety. Just a quick search on amazon shows there are cameras available for under $30.

Instead of doing absolutely anything about the robberies, they just send out pointless emails asking for the items to be returned, which, unsurprisngly, doesnt work.

Attached some pictures so everyone can see how luxurious it is to live here

I have been living here for almost two years and I don’t have any complaints, the staff is friendly, the amenities are really nice and management is always creating new activities for the residents. Very recommended!

GrayStar made the place a mess, uninhabitable, their only goal is to collect money, all residents hate the place after the new company, we have a lot of problems here and the managers are not responding to it.

Don’t live here. Management and leasing agents only communicate about information that’s most of the time irrelevant. Instead of addressing why the US marshals were here they communicated about someone’s laundry being in the laundry room for too long. Or instead of reaching out to residents who have had their car broken into multiple times in 6 months they want to communicate about proper use of the trash rooms.
Oh the best best part of it all was, during the first break in i encountered they said the cameras didn’t work lol. Which i guess is why 99.9% of the time you see the “guards” watching YouTube or why the concierge is always on the phone and not even paying mine to people walking in and out. I have to vacuum the hallway because they’re not bothered to do it. Non residents taking up all the parking spots. I should have listened to the people who lived here in the past who said they just changed the name, and slapped some aesthetically pleasing paint and interior design on it.
Idk. Honestly nothing really luxurious about this place other than free coffee which I’m sure the concierge folk aren’t even certified in any kind of food safety and don’t wash their hands before putting the sugar in.

I toured here and everyone was super friendly and you could tell they were happy to be there, I was greeted by concierge and offered a coffee or tea. The lobby areas were all sparkling clean, you could tell the cleaning crew does a great job. Yes, there were some items that could use a little updating (hallways, especially in the East building) however, the building looked well maintained and I could see myself living here. The two leasing agents, Brooklyn and Lia, were great and both spoke to me and asked questions pertaining to my needs. I even met the Assistant Manager Danielle while on my tour who was super friendly and welcomed me.

A lot of air conditioning and water issues and even cooking gas outage today.
Maintenance is taking days to finish.
They are asking me to leave my apartment for a maintenance for full day without giving any other options.
Terrible experience.

We have only been here for a short time; however, this place is great so far! The leasing/management personnel are hands down AWESOME! They are very responsive, thorough, hospitable, and exhibit exactly what customer service should look like. The leasing process was easy, quick, and efficient. Additionally, the grounds are clean, the amenities here great (dog and family friendly, modern chic feel, technologically savvy, GREAT apt views, etc), and all of the staff encountered so far are friendly. The location is truly ideal. The property is tucked away enough to not allow easy access to the high traffic of people the King of Prussia area attracts, while still being close to everything you can think of! We are truly happy that we made the choice to move here.

Please don’t refer this complex to your friends, dont do my mistake I refer a friend and since july i havn't recived money!
We contact them many times! Every time they are saying "we will send it by maill!
It is just a waste of time.
I have another proplem since i lived here in 2019 i dont have an appartment number outside my appartment.i contacted them many times and they said that they already ordered it and it has been a year and we haven't got it, it seems a small issue but every day our neighbors open our door because they think that our apartment is the trash room

After living here for 2 years, I have enough precedence to write an informed review discussing the objective pros and cons of this community, then transition to the subjective conclusion of why I would recommend 251 as a place to live.

The positive points of discussion are as follows.
- Dog friendly -> Many residents own dogs ranging in size; I have yet to hear of any nuisance behavior (as defined by law), nor witness dogs that aggress.
- International and polite community -> Some people keep to themselves, but generally speaking if one were to leave their apartment to get a free coffee at the Coffee Bar, or visit any of the amenities, there is a high probability you will see a smiling face towards you as well as hear different languages on your way. I have yet to come across someone who is acting upon willful bad faith.
- Amenities -> Coffee bar with espresso machine that provides free coffee to any individual, bocce courts, salt-water pool, garden plots, 2 children play areas, 2 dog parks, a game center (chess, backgammon, shuffleboard, foosball, pool), Amazon security lockers for packages, Tide clothing services, large community washer/dryer units, Mac desktops, gym, wine/whiskey tastings and other consistent community events.
- Staff -> Roughly 1 year ago, the international management company Greystar was brought to this community. I've seen the changes that have turned the community around for the better, the current staff in the leasing office are truly impeccable, even the new recruits. If one were to treat them with the respect that everyone deserves, that individual will reap more than they sow. The cleaning staff are very prompt and constantly on the move, always being courteous and respectful. I have never had a problem with maintenance.
- Price -> I've done a large amount of research that pertains to the core competitors of 251 Dekalb, and without a doubt, none can provide a reasonable price for what is offered compared to 251. I will vocalize that for as long as I stay in King of Prussia.
- Air quality -> One might think being next to a highway and one of the largest malls in North America, that air quality would suffer. I would urge those who care about this factor to find a pollution chart (Breezometer for example), and see that air pollution is low.

The negative points of discussion are as follows.
- Parking -> It's not that there aren't enough parking spaces within the complex, the availability near West and South isn't as fruitful depending on what time your car is parked*. For example, if I come back at 9pm, I may need to park slightly farther away (adding 1-2 minutes of walking time) than I would prefer. Is this a large life changing issue that should hinder people from considering living here? No. Is it a minor inconvenience periodically from time to time? Sure.
*There are always available spots the farther you get into the community, or overflow parking behind South building.
- Transition of thermostat -> Two times (Spring and Fall) during the year, the thermostats are changed from heat to conditioning, and vice versa. This can be an uncomfortable 1-2 weeks per transition, however this is a common event for apartment style communities. This negative is being mentioned for those who are deciding to rent a home vs.apartment.
- Smoking in apartments -> From time to time, people choose to violate the No Smoking Addendum that restricts people from smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, etc.in the buildings. While this is a disrespect to neighbors, the probability of secondary interaction via odor is near negligible. If it does happen, the management team is prompt with a response.

The subjective conclusion is as follows.
For me, it's quite simple. If you follow the rules and respect all individuals you come across (as they do for you), the positives outweigh the negatives by an overwhelming margin. I see the egregious reviews people have written, and I have nothing to offer that would agree with said individuals, and further contest their validity. I absolutely love it here.

Management is AWFUL. What does John Serafin even do? He doesnt return calls or emails. He's like everyone else that works at 251, just looking for a paycheck and could care less about residents.

Cons:
This place seemed too good to be true. Upon initial tour details that were provided from staff were completely false and untrue when in leasing agreements. Extremely hard to get into contact with especially after paying application fees and giving personal information over. Magically just seemed impossible to reach after that and no contact after that moment. Avoid this place.

Pros:
There’s free coffee!

Do not live here. Management is unresponsive and wont acknowledge any voice messages or emails if you are having an issue or complaint. They know you are stuck here once you sign on the dotted lines. I've had issues since literally the day I moved in and have been here for 3 months. I've lived in "luxury" apartments for the past 6 years and this place is far from luxury in both service and quality.

Staff is always uptight and kind of rude. My apartment constantly smells like cigarette smoke and the staff hasn’t done anything about it. They took ages to get us a mail key. And key fobs to get into the building are hard to come by for some reason. Not a great experience.

I read through previous reviews and was at first aprehnsive about this property. After visiting, my opinion changed. Some pros and cons.

Pros: Sydney and April have been great from the tour to the move in process and have been great with answering my questions.

Views are great
Property is clean
My son loves kidville
Pool is equal to a 5 star hotels
Gym hasn't been overly packed
Thursday Night happy hour is a great way to relieve some stress afterwork
The free coffee is better than Starbucks IMHO

Cons: Parking, atleast at the West building can become crowded as it gets late at night. I've had to buff out some scuffs on my bumper.

The washer dryer combo is terrible if you're a weekend wash person. It's handy for doing a load before work and coming home after an 8 hours shift. Otherwise it'll drive you made if you wait to do wash for 1 day. Just takes getting use to. For big loads just go to the laundry room.

Walls/ceilings are kind of thin but honestly, moving into an apartment you have to expect to sacrifice some privacy. I usually run some white noise to drown out hearing more than I want to hear and play music when I don't want others to hear me. It's just a social adjustment.

Other than that, it's a fun place for the price. The amenities make up for it.

Avoid at all costs. Sydney was our leasing agent there, completely flat out lied to the 3 of us looking to move in there; was misquoted rent by hundreds, lease details again far from what were promised. To top it off, after getting our application money they magically stopped responding to emails and there manger was supposed to call a week ago now. Avoid avoid avoid

To be blunt this place is terrible. Sure it looks great on the outside and the pool is beautiful, but living here for an extended period of time is more stressful than anything. I apologize for all the negativity in advance but i'm just speaking truth. Just to reiterate what most of the comments mentioned:
- walls are extremely thin (if you enjoy listening to people's conversations and feet walking above you then this is the place for you)
- water is constantly being turned off
- firetrucks and police are here every other week it seems
- management is very hard to get in touch with and unpleasant
- concierge and security is not 24/7 as advertised (they're great people though, hard workers, and super friendly)
- no parking at all
- no freight elevator
- can't control A/C
- washer and dryer are in one unit so it takes roughly 5hrs to get a load done
- can't put up blinds or curtains

pros:
- prime location
- they pay for a free gym membership
- pool

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.clearly.
