Horrible, staff is rude and replaced very frequently because they can’t keep good people around. Avoid at all costs! Looks nice from the outside for sure, but it is hell living here don’t waste your time or money. Walls are paper thin also and you can hear your neighbors conversations. 251 and Candlebrook properties is a joke and scam no wonder they can’t fill apartments.

- Not at all friendly and the staff is very rude
- You can not control the AC/heat
- Very bad maintenance
- Thermostat in the unit does not work and either the unit is too hot or too cold. The solution provided by them was to manually switch off the AC no matter if it’s mid night or day. You eventually act as a thermostat.
- for some reason if you want to break the lease even after giving two months notice and paying two months penalty, its up to the mercy of the apartments management.
- they tell all the lies up until you sign the lease and once signed you don’t even have the accessibility to talk to them if you have any questions.
- don’t get surprised if you hear false fire alarm ever month and you ending up running downstairs and waiting for the fire marshals to clear the scene
- don’t even think of moving to this apartment.

Pros:
Good location
Free Coffee
Okay Rent
Good front desks
Good pools, though i didnt use it.

Cons:
Calling the walls, walls are a disgrace. Its more like paper. You'd have to whisper so that your neighbors can't hear you.
Oh, ceilings too, unless you ninja footsteps, your neighbor below will know exactly your pinpoint location.
3 Power outage in less than 1 year, one lasted around two days.

Calling this place "Luxury" isn't exactly accurate. All the renovations are done in a budget constraint way. Upon moving in, we were fortunate enough to move in the new west building, but you can tell the doors were not cut properly, counter tops are literally non stain resistant, bathtub stuff wasn't configured correctly etc.

All indicates that it was a rush/mediocre quality job.

Was it a pleasant stay? Well, its okay for me. But no, its not a luxury apartment. Just good marketing.

Disappointing lesson learned –
TLDR; Deceptive marketing, Lipstick on a pig, Poorly managed, ". 75”bathroom was UNUSABLE, NO Freight elevator, Concierge was NEVER in our building, Little to NO access to management, Dirty, and Old construction – poorly renovated

We moved from Texas in May. It was a quick move so we leaned on the expertise of the leasing consultants at 251 Dekalb. 251 seemed too good to be true. Price was perfect. Location was great. And was exactly what we were looking for. So, we signed a lease - sight unseen. Our excitement quickly faded as we entered our apartment in the South building for the first time. The paint job was TERRIBLE (See images attached)! Our “. 75” bathroom was UNUSABLE! However, there were other parts of the apartment that kept some semblance of hope alive. As our furniture arrived about a week later we were SHOCKED to find that our couch would not fit in the elevator up to your apartment. When we were arranging details from Texas we were promised access to a freight elevator (First example of poor customer service). So, after the movers tried every which way to fit our *NEW and EXPENSIVE* couch on the elevator the 251 Representative gave us no options…They told us to donate to Goodwill or sell on craigslist. UNACCEPTABLE. Please keep in mind that our couches are NORMAL SIZES (See images attached – and the section is two pieces). We finally worked out a deal to have them pay for a service to break down the couches to wood and fabric and move them upstairs. We only received this deal because we were supposed to have the elevator dimensions in our move in letter – and they were not there! After several weeks of contemplation, we decided we did not want to break down our couches and investigated other living situations. In the end, we decided to end our lease at 251 and move. That was the only positive thing about our experience. Because of all of our issues, they allowed us out of our lease after 1 month and we were able to move into Indigo 301 – Which is WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY, WE LOVE IT! Trust me – it sounds expensive but when you look at the opportunity cost of spending all of your time dealing with the 251 management and the constant issues caused by really old construction – it is worth it!

Here is the other list of complaints:
- All in one W&D not hooked up correctly – could have cause a fire
- The full bathroom could barely fit my husband and myself
- The ceilings are unbelievable low and it makes it dark and closed in
- The hallways are dirty – Carpet with stains – wallpaper curling off and dirty
- Elevator always grimy looking
- In the south building they decided to reallocate their concierge people so we NEVER had a person manning our building – like they promised
- Trash rooms were dirty and could not handle the amount of waste produced in buildings
- They had someone site at the front gate all day long and open as cars drove in instead of us using our gate keys…which creates greater opportunity for random people to access our apartments
- Once you are a resident you are not allowed access to the leasing staff – we tried to walk in multiple times and they would not even allow us past the coffee area…
- We tried to email the management staff MULTIPLE TIMES during the end our stay to coordinate the ending of the lease – they were UNRESPONSIVE – we had to wait in the lobby until someone would see us and then email them up to 3 times before they would even respond
- Very noisy – not a lot of padding between apartments
- TERRIBLE tracking of service requests – would go DAYS without hearing anything
- The climate control is miserable – IN THE LEASE they said that they would turn the AC on in May – but they lied and turned it off in the end of May due to a couple of chilly days…and when it got hot again they did not turn on the AC for several days so all you could get was heat during 85 degree days

I could go on, unfortunately…hopefully this will give you more information to make an educated decision – their marketing is top notch and deceptive. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I have lived here since October of last year. I have downsized from a one-bedroom apartment to a studio apartment. It was my mistake to not to verify the lease agreement prior to signing the new lease agreement and trusted the leasing officer when he mentioned that the rate for the utilities will be lesser as compared to the rate for the one-bedroom apartment. Now I will end up paying the utilities of my studio equivalent to utilities charged for a one-bedroom apartment.

I have been in communication with the Assistant Manager and was told that that there is no difference between the utility rates for a studio and a one- bedroom apartment.

I have lived here for almost a year and loved it until this summer. The staff is great, the pool is nice and the apartments are aesthetically appealing. I would not consider this apartment complex to be luxury after the events that have occurred while I have resided here. I have been woken up multiple times from people yelling outside of the building or in the hallways in the middle of the night. As the complex has increased their number of tenants this summer, parking has become almost impossible. Last week we lost power and water twice. While the complex provided rooms at the Double Tree, all of my groceries spoiled and I was unable to live in my apartment for 2-3 days. When management addressed my concerns they assured me that this personal loss of food and housing is covered by the lease agreement and should go through renter's insurance.

I stink as I write this review because there is currently a water and power outage at my apartment building in this community. This has happened twice now in just ONE WEEK.
You pay so much for rent and expect the building management to offer you somewhere to, at least, take a shower so that you can make it to work. But then you ask them and they say there's nothing they can do. I asked the Assistant Manager specifically. Terrible!
It's been 11 hours, and counting, with no water or electricity.

I have been living at 251 Dekalb for almost an year now, and its been a great experience so far. The apartments are very comfortable with great views, the staff is super helpful and friendly, and the facilities, including the gym, kids play area, etc are awesome. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good apartment in King of Prussia!

I very recently moved in and came from a rental that is very similar with it's "luxury living" concept, I was VERY unhappy and stressed, My lease was up out of anger I gave the required 15 days notice before having a new place to live!

When I came in to tour the property, I met with April and it was clear from the moment she shook my hand that she genuinely felt bad about my experience and situation with one of her competitors April did NOT speak ill of them and remained professional!

April and her team rushed and had my apartment ready for move in, In less then 24 hours from the time that I came in for a tour! I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS! They gave me a competitive rate for the KOP area and everyone here is VERY friendly and I am glad I moved into 251 Dekalb!
