AWSOM Animal Shelter reviews
25We adopted "Fasha the Dawg" here and he's just been a blessing. They REALLY care for these animals.
Caring staff, affordable well care, and affordable / compassionate end of life care. We consider them our main vet now.
None of these places take animals and the ones that don't kill the animals make it impossible for anyone to adopt.
They say don't buy a dog adopt one. Called yesterday about one. Nobody said nothing about having your teenage son along. My son was at his dad's for the weekend and I drove over 3 hours just to meet the poor dog. Not happy at all. Should have stayed over the phone this information so that I could have made arrangements to have him along. This was all a birthday gift for my son.
We picked up a couple kitties here recently. The place seemed about as well run as a building with many animals in it can be. The cats had larger cages than I've seen before (multi level with openings for "room". I only peeked towards the dog portion but they seemed to have large cages.
The volunteers working were friendly and all working very hard on the Saturday we visited. The cats seemed well taken care of, they were clean, had plenty of food, water and litter. None of them seemed very stressed beyond what could be expected by being in an adoption place.
The folks who handled our paperwork were courteous, speedy and even helped out a bit with a shopping list to make sure we didn't forget anything.
We are very glad we stopped in here! Thank you for doing the very hard work of caring for these animals.
