Kathy Shank is definitely the person to see at the used lot. Very friendly and will go that extra mile. She even stayed til almost 10 PM to just make sure everything was good. And didnt try selling additional things that are not needed. Very happy with Kathy.
So far a great experience with Buchanan.

They ran our credit so many times it dropped my husbands score about 40 points. He only signed to have it run once and we had no idea they would do something that drastic. They don’t listen to what you’re looking for and try to sell you something you don’t need. Don’t waste your time.

Bought both my vehicles from Buchanan Auto Park. Chevy silverado my salesperson and the management team worked hard to get me in my budget and did a great job! Also got a great deal on my corolla! Would recommend them to everyone!

Rather poor attitude, makes you seem like your an inconvenience rather than a customer. During technical conversations they claim.they have never seen or heard of a problem your experiencing and talk down to you. Seems par for the course for a dealership.

I wasted 3 trips to this place trying to buy a vehicle they had leased me two years earlier. They were only interested in leasing me another new vehicle, not selling me the one I had already leased. Wasted 3 hours of my time figuring out new lease numbers to present me before trying to pressure me into a quick sale that day.

I left and returned the next day to again tell them I wanted to buy out my current lease, not lease a new truck. Once we agreed on terms I was told to make my final lease payment and come back after the payment settled.

I called numerous times before returning to make sure nothing had changed and could not get the sales mgr to take my call or provide a call back. He totally ignored me for a week.

I drove back out there again and, after waiting some more, the Sales Manager tried to jack my interest rate up 2% higher than what we already discussed. When I said that wasn't acceptable he said "you're free to shop around for you own loan". Which is what I did, and bought the truck the next day from Criswell in Thurmont. They beat the quote from Buchanan by $87 a month (over 72 months that's $6,264), and included paintless dent removal, rim and tire protection, and gap coverage for the length of the loan. Plus the whole deal took less than 1.5 hours of my time.

I usually wouldn't write a review like this, but I feel this is warranted after wasting a 3rd trip out there when a simple call back to confirm numbers would've saved us both time. I don't appreciate my time being wasted or being given the run around. It's like they try to wear you down until you'll accept their terms.

Please spare me your standard response of call us at. No chance! Not interested in a conversation at this point. I just wanted whoever owns that place to understand how business is being done out there, and why I'll be taking mine elsewhere from now on.

I was a first time car buyer a year ago when I bought my 03 Cadillac CTS and I worked so hard to find a place that could help me fulfill a dream of having a newer car and the staff was absolutely amazing in making it a reality! I was able to trade my Caddy in for a 2016 Mazda 6 and she is just a beautiful and fun ride with the 6 speed gear box! You guys rock!

As soon as I stepped in the office (I went through the sales depart. I have never been there before and didnt know where the service office was) EVERY single person in there just stared at me without and without greeting me or asking me if they could help me. (Its not like I had crazy face paint on or walking in with a kids clown suite on) I usually wouldn't have said anything (It had happened to me before when I hv been in an area with a prominent race that is not mine) it made me feel SO uncomfortable and angry I had said wow everybody is staring at me. Nobody said anything but the service center is this way. My appt was at 1 for a wheel alignment and tier rotation (it was NOT busy at busy at all- I I was the ONLY one in there waiting room which was 1 strip 5 chairs) No in and out cars/trucks. There was 4 people that came after me (I do not know what they were getting if it was simple or not) They had went in and within 30 mins they were checked out and gone. At 4: 30 they gave me my keys back and I paid and left. I drove a half mile before I turned around to go back (unfortunately) because my truck was still pulling significantly to the right. They filled my my tiers in front of the doors and pretty much gave me my keys back. I will NEVER go back to that place. I fill like not wanting to go back to that city. I felt so uncomfortable.

When YOU go to Buchanan make sure you ask for harley kress he is very professional and he will help you get into whatever car you are looking for he is pretty amazing and very friendly and good at what he does

I was Greeted at the used car dealership across from sheetz everyone was very friendly. But I had my heart set on one car that I wanted and they kept pushing me to buy other cars that were out of my price range. They made me test drive other cars and I didn’t even get to test drive the car I went there to see! They told me they couldn’t get me a good deal on the specific car so I left. They then called me back the next day and told me they were able to get some sort of deal. At that point I was already pist off so I decided just to not return. It was a waste of my time and it cost me unnecessary points against my credit score that I have been building.

The dealership as whole provides a family like environment everyone is friendly an knowledgeable. I am a repeat customer and plan to be in the years to come. The dealer is close to home, and has just about every service you could possibly need. Kath Shank was my used car sales person, I had come in to investigate a pre-qualification through one lender I had dealt with in the past. Kathy found a better truck then what was suggested in the pre-qual that was even 2k cheaper. I was in and out driving my truck in a very short time compared to experiences at other used car lots. When I left I felt I had a friend, and an advocate for any service need in the future with my purchase.

Over the years I have bought several vehicles at Buchanan Auto Park. I always shop around do my homework but it always leads me back to Buchanan. You can't beat their deals. As for the people who are complaining about hidden this and warranty that. You are an adult making an adult decision to purchase a vehicle. It sucks that dealerships push that kind stuff for more that its worth but basically it's your responsibility to make sure you know what you're getting. Look your paperwork over and make sure you're satisfied. All dealerships are in this game to make money and this is what they do. So do your research and you will find Buchanan is a good friendly dealership to make your purchase. Chuck and his crew will make your trip to Buchanan worth it but do your homework first.

About 2 hours away from home our check engine light comes on. Assistance told us to go to Buchanan Auto Park. 2 hours into our wait, they come get us and said the problem is fixed, it was code errors and software updates. We continued on our trip and check engine light came on, 30 min away. We called back, he told us if it wasn't making any sounds it should be ok. A new transmission later.it wasn't ok. I think they were just eager to get rid of us.
