My wife and I needed fireplace doors put on our see-through fireplace so stopped by to check them out.
Everyone was friendly and helpful in the shop but they just don’t have their stuff together. They don’t have any form of computer system to track orders so it’s left to a book of carbon copies. We had picked out 2 doors and we’re going to have them come out and do measurements for an installation. This requires $100 for someone to come take measurements.

Apparently they have one guy to do it and the first appointment day- he wound up calling in sick so they needed to reschedule. They gave me a different day and I said ok. Then they called me back to say that day didn’t actually work for them so I said OK and that they would have to check with the measurement guy and check their appointment book and call me back. A week went by and didn’t hear anything. I called and got the answer that they would check and get right back to me.

Never got called back and never got any measurements done. They still have my $100 for the measurements.

Staff at CFFS was friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased a Regency product and are happy with our choice. Top notch installer and very professional team!

Terrible customer service. My fireplace is missing a part that renders it inoperable. I've been waiting 3 weeks thus far and have not received a solution. I'm thankful I didn't have them install it. Who knows what kind of problems I would run into.

Great service, after 10 years my fireplace needed repairing and Chadds Ford Fireplace Shop responded within 24 hours and provided excellent timely and quality service. They repaired and fully cleaned the unit getting it back to looking like a brand new fireplace.

I want to comment on the experience that one reviewer had trying to return items as I believe I was present in the store when this event happened. To be fair to the store owner, the receipt does state "No Refunds, exchange for credit only. " But to be fair to the customer, I thought the owner could have been way more professional handling that situation, but instead told the customer to "learn to read. " Seriously? You're the owner.set an example. No cause to be rude to a customer, even when you're in the right. My personal experience was fine, but 2 stars based on what I witnessed as customer service.

NEVER SHOP HERE! I’d give it 0 stars if I could. I purchased 2 fireplace smoke guards from here for $30 more than they were everywhere else for the same exact ones. Totaling $133. I decided not to use them and tried to return the unopened boxes the next day. They would not refund my money! They told me exchanges only! Owner was very ignorant! Does not clearly state anywhere in the store or at the register exchanges only. They make you sign a carbon copy at check out where the fine print says exchanges only. Such a scam. Owner yelled at me and told me to leave when I told him I would give him a negative review.

Terrible business. Multiple "Oops, we don't have your phone number, " and "Oops, we don't have your correct email, " excuses. Dropped off the map for a month and a half. They finally got my email address right, only to include it in their internal conversations about how to respond to me. The owner, Eric, is simply not competent and his staff is worse. I would rather burn my money to heat my home than hire this company.

Cramped showroom. Father seems real knowledgeable. We got an estimate from them and they were about $5k higher than the other two. Doesn't mean they are overpriced though as I think they are probably more thorough than others?

We stopped in to learn more about our options for replacing two existing gas fireplaces in a home located out of state. Regardless of the fact that we were unlikely to be customers given the location of the home, Eric was gracious and generous with his time and incredibly helpful. We wish we were in the market locally for his services. Thank you Eric!

From the time I stepped into the store until the final installation, working with this team was great. They are professional, reasonably priced, and know their stuff. We are very please with the work and would highly recommend them.

Chadds Ford was about the fourth place that we visited. Best choice of products with good guidance from Eric. We appreciated that they would handle the entire job and we would not have to deal with multiple contractors. We have just had the Kozyheat fireplace installed (August) so we cannot comment on how well it works but it looks great. The installation was done exceptionally well with excellent attention to detail. The work crew left inside and outside in perfect condition.

The team at chadds ford fireplace did a great job suggesting a mantle solution for our unusually arranged family room. Looks great and protects the tv from all the fireplace heat. We can finally use our fireplace!

I had the pleasure of working with the owner after a few initial hiccups. He was genuinely concerned and did everything he could to make things right. He’s a stickler for details and followed our process from start to finish. We are thrilled with our gas logs, custom surround and electric fireplace. Excellent product lines. Highly recommend.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff got me the exact fireplace insert I needed. Installers were efficient and neat. No hidden charges or extra costs, either. What they quoted is what I paid.

Waited 4 months for appointment for service.thought remote was fixed until guy left.has not worked since. This place tells me to take it up with service guy. Will do him one better.taking our service elsewhere! Would give zero stars if possible!

I went there twice to have my fireplace replaced and both times they told me they would get back to me with a quote for a new design. Waste of time!

First visited the store on January 6,2018. Worked with Alex and selected the unit we wanted to have installed. Never received the estimate via email until an onsite inspection was scheduled for Tuesday, January 9th but had to be changed to January 12th. Eric showed up at my house with an estimate that was supposed to be emailed to me. Called the store Tuesday, January 23rd to find out the status and was told the request for the permit was just submitted the day before and could take up to 15 days to receive. Not sure why it took almost 2 weeks to submit my permit when the onsite inspection was performed on the 12th and they knew what we wanted and charged my credit card for the deposit that night. Anyways, we tried to be as patient as possible until we found out our unit was scheduled to be installed on February 23rd, 7 weeks after my initial visit. Again not sure why such a delay but we argued that we want this installed sooner as spring would be approaching and I wanted a refund if the unit wasn't installed. Finally we agreed Tuesday February 13th. I get a phone call today, February 12th that it needs to be rescheduled due to an installer being sick. I guess the third party company doesn't have enough employees if one of their own gets sick. Not the most pleasant experience. I would recommend if using this company, be sure to order June-July so it would be installed by Fall.

Hard to work with. Not pleasant experience unless you worm with Alex. Customer service is sad. I wish it could be better I do think they have great product offerings.
