The place looked very old. No microwave oven, no refrigerator and no hair dryer. These items are basic at most hotel, but knowing that this is a resort for the families?

Place needs a deep cleaning and renovation. You can tell this place had its heyday - and no longer. Rooms need microwaves. We only had 1 coffee sachet. I found a pair of dirty underwear in the room from a previous guest, and there was only 1 tiny elevator working out of 2. Stuffy/musky smell in the room I didn't dare walk on the carpet barefoot.

I wanted a motel room near the NASCAR track in June 2021. I tried to book the room about 3 weeks in advance of the race, but most local motels were full for this date. This hotel had rooms available for $128 including tax and fees, so I stayed here. When I arrived at night I could not figure out how to check in. I drove around the parking lot looking for a sign indicating where the main entrance is. There was no sign, not for the entrance, not for the office/ lobby, and not even for the name of the hotel. So I parked and walked into a door that seemed more prominent than the others. The lobby was nice. The room was okay. I had booked a handicapped room with king bed. The room was small, plain and unremarkable. The TV was small and positioned low, perfect for poor viewing from the bed. The closet was not a closet but it was a cheap metal clothes tree on wheels, set out in the room. Not sure if this is related to handicap designation. There is in-room coffee but no microwave or fridge. The huge handicap-appropriate bathroom needed more furnishings and something to enliven the blank walls. Back near the lobby I noticed that the hotel's bar was open at 9: 30pm, but I didn't use it. I walked around the outdoor pool after dark, and it seemed very nice and people were enjoying it. Near the pool there is a large wood deck overlooking a pond, with views of the ski mountain nearby. Breakfast was available but not included in the room price. Breakfast started at 8am on a Sunday, which was too late given my plans for the day. I just used the place as a quick sleepover. I would not choose this hotel again, but it served the need and the price was okay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. We were looking for a peaceful place, privacy and beautfiul views and it's exactly what we got. And our pet was accepted too

Horrible experience. At check in I was asked if I came from the casino (I don't gamble), I must look like a gambler I guess.

Then there are no refrigerator on the rooms, they have them for rent ($10/daily) but were all out. So $40 of watermelon went to waste. (great!)

The AC didn't work and we were told there was nothing they could do since we book through a third party (hotels.com) they gave us a fan, and $5 credit at their little store.

The breakfast buffet was awful ($15) for runny scramble eggs, only pork meat options, when I asked for decaf coffee I was told we have none but you can have hot water (seriously).

The lock on the door didn't work instead they had a chain lock. The first day they refreshed the towels and took out the trash. On the second day we were left with only 1 towel for 3 person and all the trash.

Both days they ran out of ice. (So awesome). They have a basket court but you need to bring your own ball. The outside pool was filthy.

On checkout day there are no luggage carts available anywhere. I walked over to reception the girl went inside the office to finish her personal phone call instead of providing customer service.

I would give it a negative 5 stars if I could. Plus they place has small hallways making it a bit claustrophobic. Every 80s style. Dimly lit. A musky smell.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

The initial room we were assigned to smelled strongly of cat urine.the A/C in the room blew out warm air at its coldest setting. Internet service was very slow and most of the time unusable. The grounds were not taken care of. My advice would be for you to look for another place to stay

I booked with your hotel 12/23-12/25. Upon check in the desk employee was absolutely terrible. She was telling me about the pet policy and how she had to change my room. I told her that it was fine I knew about the pet policy because I called twice to ensure they knew I was arriving with a pet. She snapped back at me, very nasty and said I HAVE to tell you policy. I was also overcharged. Was supposed to be $50, $25 a night. I was charged $75.

She then proceeded to talk to the other employee about how she wished no one was traveling and we should all be locked in our state. She is saying this as she is looking at my KY license and then back at me. She is employed at a hotel. No matter her personal opinion she should be respectful.

Also, at check out I found out she completely butchered our check in. We were put in the system as Arthur. What if something were to happen? Completely disgusted by the service.

The room was unkempt and outdated as well.

Only rating 2 for the view.

We have to say, all things considered, this place just rocks! I mean, right at the foot of a super kid-friendly slope where massively locked-up (for months and months) NYC kids could frolic and ski all day long (one of them, her 1st time ever!), Chateau really could not have been more perfect. Hospitable and helpful staff, and convenient meals that we could bring to our rooms. Yes, a bummer: no pool, no jacuzzi, dining in. And, know what: Bravo! Bravo for following guidelines and keeping our family safe and care for. We'll be back!

Chateau Resort has the potential to be a higher rating hotel if they upgraded the interior and put more effort into cleanliness. Unbeatable price considering the view of Camelback Ski Slopes is just feet away. Being so close to many attractions this hotel definitely needs an upgrade! The rooms should have been much more inviting and clean. We had two giant lip marks on our windows, lots of dust, and a funky smell with stained rugs. Overall nothing special aside from the views and price.

I guess because of Covid-19 the place was closed for a while so (1) it was dusty especially in the hotel restaurant. That I can forgive. But (2) the wall paper in my room was coming off the wall, and while laying in bed (3) a roach just strolled across the wall in front of me. I hate those things so that was a big NO-NO for me. Then, to top it all off, the morning of our check-out, "may-be" my time was a minute or two delayed, but some one knocked on my door, and (4) before I could get to the door to open they opened from the outside with the master key and said, "it's 11am, it's time to check out ". The horror and shock I felt. I was caught brushing my teeth to leave, lol. My husband said, "thank God she didn't catch us doing something else, smh". Anyhow, when I went to the front desk to checkout, I made the complaint and expressed how unprofessional this person had been. Well, (5) the desk clerk described exactly who had done this to me and said, "This is so annoying. She does that to everyone. She's the owner. "
Now I was flabbergasted! I could have given this place another chance because I had a beautiful view of a pond with a few ducks (very calming), I had a great view of Camelback's ski slopes, It was cheap for a last minute getaway, and it was really close to the outlet mall (of course I had to put that one in there). But for the simple fact that reason (4) and (5) happened I can't go back and neither would I recommend it anyone. No guest should be treated this way. All I have is a pic of the pond. I didn't even think to take pics of the room. What was I thinking?

Where do I start. The staff is really nice and accommodating they get 5 stars. This place need a major upgrade. The lobby is very nice but the elevator buttons one of them is written in with a marker. The room furniture is really outdated, the room phone is old and looks dirty, despite being wiping it with a lysol wipe. The bathroom faucet has outdated with brown stained on bathroom counter. The bath tub is an old fashioned drop in tube with black stained material around the metal poles for the towels. Further more who uses bathtubs with a shower curtain and stains on the curtain in a hotel room. We went through 6 sets of keys because they would not work. The ice machine did not work on my floor. The arcade room one of the machines stole our money. The indoor pool heater was not broken and along with that when we entered the rooms they felt as cold as outside. Hopefully this place is able to make upgrades because they would be able to attract more people from the near by Camelback Resort.

It shouldn’t be advertising free breakfast when it doesn’t actually have free breakfast. The first morning I was there, I looked at the menu and it was charging $7 for 1 egg and some toast.

The only good things I experienced at this hotel were the beds and the cleanliness of the room I stayed in.

My overall experience was okay. Things weren't all the way clean like the pool or the bathroom but I can't expect it to be spotless because ofc it's a hotel. The outdoor pool and view of the pond was beautiful because of the setup with the waterfall.

You get what you pay for, no wifi, no refrigerator, unless you pay $10 a day. All the pools are filthy. The sofa bed was broken in my room, I had to go out and buy an air mattress for the kids. The TV's didnt have power supply cord.lmao.thats right no TV'S. The hallways look like something out of a 80s scary movies.never again 8/26/18

Friendly staff, but you get for what you pay. Story goes that this place is haunted and was made on top of a Indian burial ground. (From personal experiences at 3-4am the light randomly turned on when i was alone, had to turn it off.) from personal experienced i changed my check out date to a sooner date. Would only recommend for a cheap one night stay.

Nice people, very personable and helpful. Could use some surface updates, but otherwise, our stay was quite fine.

Cracks around hot tub. Inside indoor pool needed painting. Some exercise equipment did not work. Some deck floor boards squeaked and bucked be careful. 8 months ago new owners took over they are in the process of remodeling. Perhaps they could have held out a little longer before opening the doors. Rooms are adequate. However, great location to Aquatopia.

Overall good experience, front desk staff was polite, grounds keeper/maintenance gentleman very helpful. This hotel was clean, well kept rooms, dog friendly, local to everything (camelback, breweries, hiking), great view of the mountain.
