Comfort Suites Downtown Carlisle reviews
21Rooms are good, very small bathrooms. It's dead center of town by everything. Lovely scenery
The gentleman working the front desk when we checked in was very nice. The guy refilling the coffee in the morning was not the nicest. Stayed one night. They charge $4 for parking. Room was outdated but served it’s purpose. Breakfast had various items.
Great service, kind staff clean and fresh accommodations with plenty of towels, pillows, soaps, and drink fixings. The best location in the downtown for easy access to shopping, bars and restaurants. We will always be staying here when visiting in the future.
Not clean. Room had food left on the carpet. Stained towels. Damaged bathroom fixtures and it smelled like urine. The room fridge was wobbly and hard to open. Fitted sheets didn't fit. In adequate bathroom vent. Breakfast was a travesty. At least the coffee was fresh. Everything was individually plastic wrapped. Huge waste. Restaurant is good when not serving hotel breakfast. Front desk staff was not friendly. Had to get right back to texting on his phone.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. There are only 2 things going for this hotel: The location and the bar/restaurant. It is centrally located so, it's easy to walk to a lot of places. The food and drinks at the restaurant were very good. Everything else is not so good. To begin with, the rooms are outdated. There are cracks in the ceilings and mildew on the ceilings in the bathroom. The air conditioner was extremely loud and there was the smell of marijuana in and around the hotel. The gym equipment is horrible (one home use treadmill, one bike and one elliptical, a few free weights and a pull-up bar/station).
We drive a pick up with a cap and had to park in overflow.not convenient! !
Especially traveling with our dogs. It was very difficult. Also no where to walk pets to do their business.
We arrived late on 9/7 and were told there was to be no water at 9am the next morning. This sent us scrambling to find a different hotel for the night. Our cell # and email are in the Choice Hotel system but we were never notified. We should have been notified ASAP. The young man at the desk was as helpful as he could have been. Certainly a bad experience for us.
Nice little hotel. Parking garage was handy. Easy to walk to historical places and restaurants.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at 1794 Whiskey Rebellion. The waiter was very knowledgeable and was very nice. Hope to go back one day.
The best place to stay in Carlisle. Central to everything, makes walking downtown easy, the staff is very pleasant, and the rooms are large and clean.
The room was spacious and clean. You do have to pay extra for parking all personnel were very pleasant. The breakfast was grab and go, unfortunately the muffins were stale. The attached restaurant Whiskey Rebellion was wonderful. Bottom line is I would stay there again.
Great downtown location. Room was roomy, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking.a muffin, banana and instant oatmeal, that's it.
Had a great time as usual. Clean room. Friendly staff. Miss the hot breakfast, but understand the changes are due to Covid. Grab and go breakfast is a satisfactory alternative. Only disappointment is that we couldn’t book it for the Chrysler Nationals next year due to some scheduling conflict with the Army War College.
Great location and walkable to many restaurants downtown but they have their own restaurant and bar so no need to leave if you don't want to. We appreciated their reasonable pet fee as many #petfriendly hotels charge way too much. Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and the grab and go breakfast was good - oatmeal, fruit, and muffins/pastries.
The man working the front desk was awesome. The place was short staff due to covid-19. This man worked his butt off and was always curtious and had a smile on his face.
This is one of our all-time favorite places for a Carlisle weekend getaway! This time, the room wasn't quite as clean as it normally is. Big ball of hair in the bathroom, but I know they had a busy weekend. This will always be our favorite Carlisle stop!
This motel was understaffed. One Senior staff at check-in appeared to be running the entire place.computers s l o w at check-in.
Room was reasonably nice.but 2 lights were out. We asked for replacement bulb for bathroom, but it took 4 hours for a response. By then, we discovered the fixture needed maintenance and not just a bulb. The busiest weekend, booked full I was told, and there was NO STAFF for maintenance. If there had been a more serious situation, such as a drain clog, cooling/heating issues, etc.there would be no one to assist? !
So it loses stars for being unprepared for it's guests.
Good value and location for the price. Room was clean and roomy with small sitting area adjacent to the bedroom area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice bar on property.
Did not meet expectations. Bed is hard and uncomfortable. Windows are cheap and very old and don’t seal completely so cigarette and weed smoke from people smoking outside in the alley come into your room.
The staff was great, rooms were clean and well organized. While most of the breakfast items have been discontinued due to the pandemic the staff did offer great alternative like various muffins, three types of coffee, juice and tidbit more. While there's a restaurant in the hotel you can walk down the street and go to fast food chains (like chipotle, wendy's etc.) or try local restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.
