Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, York PA

The food and service needed great improvement. After being seated it took 20 minutes for a waitress, (5 people in our party). No drinks for another 15 minutes, food arrived very hot by management (one order was completely wrong) after waiting 10 minutes for the right order the table had no silverware, straws or napkins, 10 more minutes until we got our own, then hot food became cold. When asked for refills on drinks they never came.
A few of our food items had a strange taste, waitress explained there was a problem in the back preparing the food. Waitress did apologize for all the mess ups. When a restaurant is hiring please don't open sections until you can wait on customers properly. It was filled to about 75%, tables were cleaned but broken glass left on floor, all employees did wear masks.

Server very friendly but extremely overwhelmed food was barely warm meatloaf terrible always liked there lima beans was told them and some other idems was no longer served there very disappointed not the first time would have to think hard about going there again.

Good food and staff. More shopping for my wife while waiting for the table as well as post meal

Food was very good, a little slow out of the kitchen, but served hot and well prepared. Lizzie was friendly and attentive.

The lemon pepper grilled trout was delicious! Everything was hot, fresh, and timely.

Veronica our waitress was friendly and professional.

Check out cashier at the front was nice too!

Food is good. Servers are wonderful, depending on who you get. Many times we skip going here is the last few times we have gone we literally waited over 40 minutes for our food. The last time we waited an hour. Way too long for what we order and it isn't that busy. Even the waitress and waiters were angry and bringing guests free biscuits and stuff. Don't know what is going on with their kitchen but we won't return for a while in hopes they'll eventually figure it out.

Ordered ground steak gravy potatoes took a bite of gum in the gravy waitress got manager he came over eventually said I hear you found gum in you food I'll get you another one NO APOLOGIES

First time my family and I ordered food to go from here and probably will be the last. My husband got roast beef which he said was good
The mash potatoes weren’t that good. My husband also got the hash brown casserole and it was dried out wasn’t very appetizing. The corn bread was hard. The chicken was cooked in dirty oil. The lady in the gift shop was rude as well. My order said it was ready and when I came into the store I told them I was their to pick up my food she was short and said well when it’s ready it will be over here she wasn’t very pleasant. Really disappointed with the food and experience in the store. Didn’t like the atmosphere in the store as well.

We arrived about 730 AM on 5-22-2021 and waited a few minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence.
Ashley stated it would be 5 or 10 minutes before we could be seated because the grill was not "warmed up" there were several people in the restaurant. I asked if we could wait at the table & Ashley refused. She also denied the limping elderly couple behind us.

*update: it's been a week since Cracker Barrel asked for additional info- no further communication from them. So thier response is BS just like the customer service.

The waiter was very friendly very efficient very organized it was very crowded and he really was a great guy I checked on this constantly cuz it was me and my whole family so for about 12 of us the manager was great and hospitable when we told him how many people there was so they got us in there

The best thing about cracker barrel. It's consistent. You can always get comfort food that tastes great each time you go.

The food was horrible. We both threw out our dinners after tasting it. The hashbrown casserole was dried up and hard. The green beans were nasty. No flavor whatsoever. The chicken wasn't fully prepared. Cashier was the only good thing about that visit.

This cracker barrel. Has really fallen apart since COVID. Wait times are long for food. Service is beyond poor. Staffing is short. YObviously

Excellent service and great food. Both myself and my wife had the Roast Beef Supper and it was served in a blue cast iron pot with melt in your mouth Roast Beef

The buttermilk biscuits were tender and hot and fresh

This entree is only served on Sunday.

I wish I could give this zero stars.we were seated and waited close to 20 minutes and not even a wait person acknowkedged us and expressed they'd be with us shortly. Were they short staffed.probably.but that's also why I was more patient than normal. Once ALL the tables cleared out I was fuming and beyond impatient and went back to the hostess and asked for a manager. The manager was nice enough and got our waiter immediately.might I add the waiter assigned to our table walked around us several times without so much as a glance. My kids and I had a guest who had never eaten at cracker barrel before and needless to say none of us will be going back to that location. What should have been a 45 minute trip max turned into almost an hour and a half. I'm not sure what was wrong with our table of 4 that we were ignored when everyone else was promptly tended to but it was disgusting and disheartening.

Although seating is limited, the food was what I expected at a price that I think is reasonable. The staff working there was very friendly and service was good and punctual. Very "homie" feel every time I go.

As always, a stop at Cracker Barrel for good, consistent and very reasonable priced food is all you need sometimes.

Love shopping at CB. Got the country steak, a bit chewy not and white gravy was condensed not as good as Bob Evans.mashed was dry. Stick to the meatloaf and hash brown casserole. Kids love their chicken tender. We got the mini beignet with Yummy pecan sauce $3.99 small but worth it especially with the dip and side of fried apples. Ethan was our server, he was great!
