Geisinger - Mount Pleasant reviews
27This is the worst medical care I have ever had in my life, 24hrs and couldn't get in touch with a doctor forced to use foul language due to the condescending attitudes of the nurses, as if I was the bad guy. I'm was in pain and frustrated. This is nothing but a business not about patients and their problems
If I could give a 0 I would, I have been.patient for years and its.only getting worse.
Everytime you call you get stories and.lies. I had a sinus infection for 5 days and they gave me the run around about calling something in and got no where so here we are on Saturday and still nothing called in no one should have to suffer like this.
They are great but when it comes to mask they are horrible I have a breathing condition that makes wearrinf a mask hard for me to breath. I have a mask that allows me to breath but they won't allow me to use it even with my medical issues. So figure that out
If you're sick and don't get your own doctor they cancel your appointment and tell you to go to Urgent Care which is horrible the last time I went to Urgent Care they told me they think I had covid which I didn't I lost three days of pay. My doctor is great and the PAs and nurse practitioner and nurses are really good they get 5 Stars. And then I go into mygeisinger at 12: 30 pm and they didn't even cancel my appointment what are they trying to do double charge my insurance I had to cancel the appointment myself
Made an appointment for bloodwork for my father, we arrived approximately 10 minutes before the appointment time, and were told it will be an hour wait. What is the purpose of making an appointment when walkins will be taken first. My father is 89 yrs old has asthma and wearing a mask for an hour is ridicules.
My rating is for Dr. Stroka. She is really good to me and I've been through a lot of doctors. ATM I do not have medical insurance and still she sends me cough medicine and antibiotics. She knows I wouldn't bother unless I am truly sick. I'm sure she's not a fan of that lol. I am so grateful for her and the care she provides me.
I had my mother transfer there after 15+years at her doctor, because at first it was great here. Boy do I regret it! Referrals take months. Returned phone calls forget it. It will take 6 months to see your Primary doctor. The place has turned into a nightmare!
Polite on time understanding never waited longer than five mins
A burks
Severe issues with prescription services. I have a medication that I am supposed to take 3xs a day and My doctor will let my RX run out then call it in 3-5 days later at a point when I am feeling severely ill. Even when I call the full 48 hours ahead of time I still end up without any medication. This happens every month, no matter how many complaints I make or certified letters I write. Unfortunately this is the only office my insurance will allow me to go. Being from Connecticut, I can easily say that Pennsylvania truly has some of the worst medical providers I have ever encountered but Geisinger is absolutely horrific. It is wrong to treat paying customers the way that they do, and it’s certainly not worth the ungodly high premiums they demand.
I was only going to Geisinger because of Dr. Rogan. They fired him for caring for his patients, for spending time with them and treating his profession as something sacred, a vocation. I will do everything I can to avoid the Geisinger System, they are terrible.
Zero bedside manner, very much by the book, I definitely never had or felt any type of concern or care for my wellbeing, it's just a job for everyone who works here, zero empathy for patients proper care or specific treatment.
Been going to same doctor for couple of years. I like her, and usually it doesn't take too long to get in to see her.
Dr. Rogan is a wonderful caring person. My family has been going to him for over 25 years. If he was let go, then we will go with him!
Takes a very long time to be seen. There are too many patients booked. There is not enough time for personal care. You are made to feel as if you are a burden for asking questions.
I felt like an object and not a person at this practice. The doctors were slightly more personable than the nurses, but the front desk staff is blunt and emotionless. Their communication skills are non existent and I have had several instances where the after-hours phone message transfer service has been enabled long after they open (the transfer service staff has actually apologized for the inconvenience.) I am so glad I switched practices!
There's No paperwork! None! It was the best experience i've had paperwork wise. Dr. Sluck is a fantastic Dr.kind, he didn't rush the visit.he made sure I had all the meds I needed. Absolutely 5 stars!
I usually do not expect much, actually very little.as far as personalities, bed side manor, helpfulness, kindness, and a Dr.that actually likes what they do for a living.in Scranton PA. From my experiences the past 3 years, it is uncommon for a Dr.and his/her staff in this area of PA to be even remotely nice. That being said, I was beyond surprised at how kind hearted and helpful the entire staff was, right up to the Receptionist (usually they are so mean!). I give credit where credit is deserved, and so I flat out told them all "You are being so nice, thank you. " It is important to commend those who deserve it so they keep doing a great job:) My situation required all of the above traits and more, so I am pleased to report that they all succeeded and so I left feeling relieved, calm, cool and collected:) Thank you Radiology Dept!
I've never have a problem up until today!
I call this morning for an appt. They told me to come in at 2: 45, I said ok, but the window is gonna be tight, I have to be at a viewing at 4: 30. The receptionist assured me I'd only be there for 20 minutes.
Got there @ 2: 30, brought to the back @ 2: 45, and sat there waiting to be seen. Stepped out the door 3 times and didn't see anyone.
Walked out @ 4: 15 after NOT BEING SEEN!
Called to make an appt and asked them to schedule me an order for blood work seeing as my appt was 6 weeks away because of there scheduling. They said they’d have a nurse call me to schedule it and they never did. This was a crucial blood test I needed and was never given. Then when I cancelled my appt from a text I got from them to confirm my appt they responded with a voicemail and told me I had to call to recancel the appt. I called today to recancel the appt and bill couldn’t find my appt because it had already been cancelled. I asked him then why did they personally call me telling me to recancel and he said well I don’t know. I told him this is why I cancelled in the first place because you guys need to get it together and put the patient first. Thank you I will never return here!
Phone message saying they are closed a full hour after they're supposed to be open. Finally get through and am on hold, rings once, silence, then I'm hung up on. Edit: Once I was finally able to speak to someone they scheduled me in immediately.
