GIANT Food Stores reviews
33I avoid giant whenever I can. Unfortunately, they don't have a whole lot of competition around here. It is rare to get an order where at least some items don't ring up at the register at a higher price than what they are marked on the Shelf! It never happens the other way around, so therefore it is not simple human error which would break your way 50% of the time and their way 50% of the time. No, no, no! My statistics say that this is not an honest mistake on their part.
I am tired of shopping at a "grocery store" that never has what you need or items in their ad circular. Emailed Giant twice and NEVER received a response. They can kiss my a-!
This store is HUGE and beautiful. Especially the produce department. Impeccable service. In addition ridiculously clean. Very busy place. Grab a beer, grab a snack or dinner.then do your shopping. Genius.
I have food allgeries and am celiac, meaning I must be glutin free. I used to get a glutin free bread mix from the Giant. Then they stopped carrying it. I started to get Giant glutin free waffles. Now today I find out they aren't going to carry that either. There was an expensive brand of gf waffles before but that shelf was empty. They took away my breakfast. I am allergic to eggs and milk.
Absolutely love the scan and go feature. I pack my groceries as I go in my own bags. I go to the Lingelstown Road store even though there are 2 Giant stores closer to me.
We stopped by here to visit the flower shop to get a nice bouquet of flowers. After looking though the selection, we found that the ones selected were the best in the bunch.
This company offers so much to the needy in the community. Thank you for the food donations. If it was not for you. People would be worse off.
Great selection of products: food made to go, deli, beer garden, bakery, starbucks and pharmacy. Aisles are difficult to navigate during peak times. Deducting a star after last visit. Thursday evening they shut down the complete side of self check out and lines were extremely long. Staffing needs are below par.
Giant has the most patient and friendly employees. They are patient at checkout and also point out deals in the isle. I was getting sausage while the man was putting meat out and pointed out a better deal. A lot more meat for the same price.
Open 24 hours, decent sushi to go, friendly staff and fairly knowledgeable (for a grocery store chain) fishmonger and butcher.
This is a huge grocery store — you could get lost in between the aisles, looking at the thousands of choices. Everything was clean, and the sections were well-organized. It should be particularly noted for a large Kosher section.
4 Stars for the Linglestown and Mechanicsburg Giant stores though the prices are way too high.
2 stars for the Newport Giant - I finally tired of checking through the spoiled products for good ones, despite the high prices. So, I shop elsewhere despite the long drive. The assistant managers become belligerent when spoiled products are brought to their attention.
Today it was very slippery on the property. I observed quite a few people almost hitting the ground. Manager stated that he was aware of it but no salt was scattered yet.
