I moved here in November 2019 and have been sticking around for more than a year now. I would say, Hatfield Village Apartments are the best and I call it my home now. The society is super clean with utmost hygiene conditions to live in. The office staff and the maintenance staff here are really cooperative and supportive. I would highly RECOMMEND this to anyone. This is the best one can get and at a super affordable rent.

I really thought when we first moved in that Hatfield village was going to be a great move. In reality it's the worst rental experience I've had so far. Aside from the smells of the hallways which is terrible and the constant problems with bugs don't expect any help from maintenance in a timely manner. I reported problems with wasp nests on the building after they stung my cat and we're getting into the apartment where my wife was pregnant it took four call outs and six weeks to get anything done. 7 months after leaving I'm now getting phone calls reporting damage to the property and demanding money despite the assessment when I left stating everything was fine. Please don't make the mistake I made it may seem like a great bargain but in the end you'll lose and regret it.

This apartment complex is so bad. The management doesn’t care about you or anything except your monthly rent.

I moved into Hatfield Village Apartments in May of 2018. First of all I was skeptical because of all the negative thing I read about this complex. I was desperate and needed a place that would allow me to have my small chihuahua and not fear I would have to get rid of him because someone would get annoyed by him making noise. I decided to give it a shot and shortly after filling out the request to tour the place I received a call from one of the leasing Managers Kathy or "Big Red" as her friends and coworkers like to call her.
I came in for the appointment, got the tour, and filled out the application. I was up front and honest about my credit which wasn't so good, and was reassured that the management team would do whatever was in their power to help me out even of it meant a larger security deposit. (I was fine with that). Shortly after returning home to where I was currently staying I got a call from Kathy apologizing to me because they ran my credit and it looked like I was going to be stuck with them.
It has been over 2 years and my complaints have nothing to do with the company or the employees that work here. My issue is with the entitled residents who feel they are above everyone and allow themselves to throw their trash wherever they feel like it knowing the wonderful maintenance team will once again drive around in their carts picking up after everyone.
I have read complaints that maintenance never fixes issues, and in my experience this is not the case. I have had nothing but great 10 of 10 star experiences with maintenance. My AC's were not working properly and even though every time someone would come out to check it they seemed to be working fine I still get new AC units. I thought I had a bed bug infestation (turned out to be a false alarm) and the maintenance team was there the same day to check it out. I live on the third floor and after a pretty heavy rain storm my ceiling was leaking. It took them only 2 days from start to finish to complete the project.
As for the office staff they are always friendly and welcoming. My dogs and I would go in on our walks each day and they had a tin of dog treats. My dogs after a while would automatically walk to the office when out on their walk and beg for a cookie. I had a few mild concerns when my 2 10 pound dogs would rough house that I would be asked to either get rid of them or have to move, but was assured that "Dogs make noise, and that is why they have pet and non pet buildings"
My only other complaint aside from disrespectful residents is the rent does go up every lease renewal, but to be perfectly honest even this is not horrendous as long as I get the letter in on time. (they give you three months to decide so this should never be an issue). All in all this is probably hands down top 2 of the 8 places I have rented. Amazing staff and beautiful grounds. I also love the new dog park that was built that is for residents only.

Me and my family have only had negative issues with this company. This is my first time posting a review and we were very hesitant to do this but we have had enough. We feel that we need to warn others about renting from this company. I am not sharing only from my experience but also by others. Long story short, these apartments are not worth the money, please find a private landlord or someone else. The walls are very thin, and unless you are extremely quiet, anticipate a lot of noise complaints coming under your name. The space is small, even for a two bedroom or for a one bedroom. My father and brother have left these apartments in good terms and have charged exorbitant amounts of fees by collection agencies after leaving. I also want to add that these charges are never brought up during the final walkthroughs they have had. I have personally been charged almost 600$ for carpet cleaning even after having a private carpet cleaner come in before hand to do the carpets them selves. And because of Covid, it seems as if this company has taken advantage of not having to do in-person walkthroughs. Thus this throws any credit or validation on your part when collection agencies call. I have much more to say but again, we were very hesitant to post this review. And after trying to contact this company in regards to the “debts” we owe, they have not contacted us. PLEASE find somewhere else to rent!

I'm not sure of the negative reviews here. I've lived here a year and am renewing my lease. Everyone I've talked to has been very kind. I've had two maintenance issues and they were resolved quickly. The apartment is the perfect size for me and reasonably priced.

I've had no real problems, aside from the walls being a bit thin, but I've learned that plugging a fan in will drown out any noise. Maybe I just got lucky with quiet neighbors? !

We have lived here for almost a year and absolutely love it here. The staff are so helpful and nice. The amenities are great for the entire family. Maintenance responds quickly and efficiently to calls. The local area has so much to offer as well.

I've been at Hatfield for a year and a half and I find that whenever I have a maintenance issue, Chris and his staff are great! Yesterday I had Keith come for a couple issues I was having and he did a great job with all of it. Great job, Keith!

Been here 6 years my mom 4 and now me and my baby 2. I found bed bugs and now yesterday a hole in my cabenit and I think it mice! I got mold in the master bed room and maintenance didn’t do anything! It took them 3 months of me harassing them to come paint my chipped bathroom! My lease finishes in September and we out not renewing

This place is a very wonderful place to live and I already have recommended a few of my friends here. It's huge and the prices are the best for what you get here. It feels like a community here.

We have been here for almost a year now! No problems really! Apartment very nicely kept when we moved in. We got to make it our own! Highly recommend for couples who are trying to save up for third first home for sure!

Pure noise pollution, walls, floors, and ceilings are thin can hear downstairs neighbor talking spanish almost clearly. Downstairs baseboard heater pulsating all night, lost sleep and continues to lose sleep. Maintenance man came to my apartment twice in two weeks to " check to see if key worked" management had no clue but maintenance did supposedly. Neighbors blast music while driving through community on a regular basis and if quietness is some your looking for you won't find it hear.

I set this at 5 stars to reach the top of the feed because if its one star then it will go unnoticed. Biggest issue is ROACH INFESTATION! Terminated lease early due to it.

I am so severely disappointed in Hatfield Village Apartments. After moving out, they continued to take rent money out of my account and it took MONTHS to be reimbursed - security deposit too! I asked for interest on the money unlawfully taken from me and they refused. Again, just furious with their customer service, lack of professionalism, and illegal actions.

Re response from the owner: Nothing has changed post-phone call.

Mold everywhere! Who else has water damage and mold?
Then you have these regional managers tell you to call them and they don't call back!

Yes, you Mr. Duncan!

They won't call you back! Too busy playing hatchet in KOP!

Just so you know! It's your tenants that put money in your pocket! Why don't you take care of your tenants, maintance and the others that do your dirty work!

Shame on you and your company!

Wrost management office people ever I seen.i live in here almost three year.every year they send us mail for choice living agreement. This year we didn't get any mail and that's why we go to management office and asked about that.they told me your agreement is automatically renew for 1 year and it is the hiest rate. Their behavior so rude.so I do not reffer to rent here. The management is not helpful.

Oh boy. Where to begin. Lived there for about 4 years. Moved out in late 2017.

The good:
-Cheapish compared to what I pay now elsewhere but rates rose far too much each year.
-Nice community/grounds
-Location is good enough
-Maintenance was always friendly and usually prompt with my requests.
-Most staff was friendly (slipped me a free second pool pass)
-Emergency protocols seemed fine but you'll hear smoke detectors going off regularly.
-Good on letting you know if something was happening to your building/lot.

The bad:
-Certain neighbors. I get that we are in close proximity but change your smoke detector batteries! Stop threatening to kill each other! Learn how to drive! Don't throw keys at your spouse and hit my door with them! Stop being the source of cockroach infestations! Don't rape people! (Plenty of neighbors were fine and nice)
-Building E had a ceiling collapse in the stairwell. Took a month to fix. Squirrels got in and ran all over in the ceiling at night.
-Building P has roaches (moved to cat friendly building).
-Hope your hot water heater doesn't die in January while you have bronchitis!
-Cat friendly changed to cat/dog friendly without anyone's vote. I love dogs but not yapper chihuahuas right across the hall. No offense and no ill will towards the dog!
-Can't see apartment you'll rent. Hope it doesn't smell like smoke!

The ugly:
-You best hope life doesn't throw you any curveballs. I was laid off and immediately went on the job hunt. Had no luck in the area so I expanded my search and found a job that would require relocation. They charged me over $1600 to move out (was refunded about $125). I left halfway through Oct but had to pay all of October's rent, all of November's rent and then another imaginary month of rent on top of that. Greedy greedy with zero compassion. Do not let them F you over.

Been meaning to write this review for months now. Would've given them a 3 or 4 had it not been for the ugly.

Please enjoy the photo of the duct tape I put up between my cabinets to stop roaches. I didn't think it would actually work.
