Kugo Japanese Restaurant

I’m giving it two stars just because the food is good, service is sub par at best. Asked to have our rice.which is usually brought out with the meals, 4 TIMES, and still waited an additional 10 min after asking again. We were ignored when asking for additional water and sauce and our sushi was brought out after we finished our meals when we watched it sit on top of the sushi bar for 30 mine prior to that and even asked to have it brought over and were ignored continuously.

Salad dressing tasted bad they forgot my lobster which when he scorched it. Meat was burnt tasting. The chef if you want to call him that was not very interactive. Or personable. If this had been my first time at one I would never go to anther. If this was my first time eating lobster I would never eat it again.

This is my favorite place to eat! It's a cozy place and they put on a good show and the food is amazing!

Excellent food not cheap but is a great experience and a change of pace from the normal run of the mill restaurant

Gone many of times and loved it but the last time I was there they served raw chicken off the hibachi grill

All the food is delicious, and prepares oh so good. The Hibachi gril is such a show, and the sushi is preaented like art. I have never been hungry leaving this place.

Kugo has a fun atmosphere, and some of the best, fresh Asian food you can find in central Pennsylvania! Highly recommended!

Food is amazing! Entertainment was great! Friendly staff. Perfect place to go on a date night with your spouse!

The three stars are for the wait staff. Their service has been terrible more times than not. There has been a few times in their terrible service where they never came to my table or spot at the sushi bar. Ive been completely ignored until the hostess stepped up.

The only times I get good service is when the manager has waited on me.

Service slow and zero personality for everyone we encountered, doesn't serve alcohol and didn't put on a cooking presentation at all. Food was good though

Always fairly busy here which adds to the fun. The food is good and although u don't eat sushi, everyone I know that does likes it here as well.

Over an hour wait for takeout on a Friday.
Sushi is below average. Hibachi is good but far more reasonably priced for lunch.

Recommend this place for dine in only, significant differences in food quality when you order it as take out.

If you're going for just sushi I'd highly recomend going elsewhere.

It's a great place to eat! Prices are average for restaurant standards, but a little high compared to other takeout options. The hibachi experience is entertaining and delicious, and the sushi is well made-even artfully at times.

A slight drawback is that it's BYOB, but I wouldn't expect that to be a deterrent for many people. Definitely recommended!
