Got our cat from there, very clean and love how there is very animals but we got our baby that fits our family!

Well.as much as you can love lost and unwanted pets! People were so nive. Areas were so clean. It was noisy but so many sweet pups and kittens (kitten season is SOON!). And the note and tags seemed accurate and honest. I would take a pup from here over an expensive rescue in a heartbeat.

The place is a joke. They say they can help you with animal cruelty but really the place is just as bad as the place you want to report. Also when we went it we were greeted with the smell of poop and we saw it too. The dogs didn’t seem very happy, they were in tiny cages. We thought the SPCA would be helpful but it’s not a great place.

I adopted a 9 month old cat some years ago fell completely in love with him, he turned 4 years old and had not been able to urinate, I took him to Erie SPCA who diagnosed him with a severe blockage, they advised me that even with surgery he may not get better. He was discharging blood only, he could not pee, I had to make a extremely tough decision to surrender him so I was told to take him back to where I initially adopted him so I did and it was a terrible experience the man at the front desk was 100% disgusting to me, very sarcastic and that was after he ignored me for at least 20 minutes. I was literally in tears and heartbroken over having to make such a tough decision. He was absolutely rude, cold hearted, sarcastic, uncaring of my feelings. I am a huge animal lover I would never have taken him back if I knew for sure he would get better. I will never return to this SPCA, but I'm thankful for Erie ave SPCA. We all have feelings and just because you may frown upon anyone's decision to surrender an animal gives you no right to be a complete DICK. SHAME ON YOU

Very unsatisfied me and my family went to this location with the hopes of finding a fantastic dog for adoption which we achieved. However the staff at the facility neglected to inform our family that the spacific dog that we fell in live with was already adopted and awaiting being picked up that same night as we were filling out the application for adoption told us to call back and come in in the morning to see her and try and move our application along as we did not like seeing her in a kennel with other mean animals.upon arriving they had informed us that the animal was adopted out around 3: 00 the day before 25 mins after our family had left the facility if I could give this location a negative result It would be negative 5

My dog broke free from her leash and ran away so I notified the SPCA immediately. A police officer found her and brought her here. They called home right away and made she sure was safe until I could get there. The staff was great and I am happy to have my dog back. Thank you!

Bad housing conditions. Diarrhea all over the floors. Smelled terrible. Dogs looked out of control and needed some attention.

The Attendant in the back extraordinarily helpful! The receptionist was very patient and gave us all the information we needed.

Animals are taken care of very well. Staff is very helpful. Not a lot of selection at times, which for an animal shelter is a good thing. Meaning, many of their animals are adopted.

This place is doing amazing things that allowed us to find a new family member. Everything was really clean and the volunteers were very accommodating to what I was looking for and explained everything clearly.

Certain staff can be quite obnoxious. The animals are cared for quite well, and find myself visiting a lot. I have yet to adopt from them, but have had many experiences with other adoptions from them. I do suggest visiting them!

I adopted a very large Cane Corso there 4.5 Yrs ago, best dog I've ever had. The staff is always friendly & knowledgable. Pls give these dogs / cats a second chance.

An absolute disgrace I was there once looking for a cat the place smelled beyond belief and was filthy I then saw a cat online for adoption after that and called. I asked about health of the cat and was told as far as they know he is OK I started asking what I thought were reasonable questions like do they see a vet etc. As was told only if they think something may be wrong with the animal. My response was one of surprise and they hung up on me actually slammed the phone. Big red flag

I have saved cats and a few dogs in my life of 62 years, All from Montgomery County SPCA! Didn't have space when I was younger but, now I do and I'm headed right back to save some more. This shelter needs help in getting more adoptions! Good place to start is here!

When I came to this location is was not treated well we left our application to adopt and was told they would get in touch but they never did
