Plumber's came out for initial home warranty call. Inspected for about 20 minutes and left. Said they were going to write up estimate on opening the wall. After 5 day's they never called, so we called them. LMAO came back with saying they would charge us $800 just to open up the wall to find the issue and then would need to resubmit claim to home warranty. Called guy to open up wall, along with calling trusted ans honest plumber. Long story short, i paid less that $400 to have work down correctly. You've been warned stay away

Nussbaumer Plumber was assigned by HSA warranty for not having hot water. It took 5 days for the technician to submit the report, only for it to be denied. We got a second opinion and Nussbaumer "recommended" more work than actually needed. Then the icing on the cake is how they respond to customers on their Facebook page. Customer service is key and if the business does not want to work with the home warranty company, then exit. Customers are suffering.

The two plumbers from Nussbaumer Plumbing came out for an issue with my hot water tank. I filed the claim due to not having any hot water. The first thing they did was place a gauge on a spigot and told me that my PRV failed which caused my T&P valve to fail and I needed to file an additional ticket to replace the PRV or it was a $280 part to replace outside of home warranty. I asked if they could try turning it down as it maybe was just set too high. They stated that would not work and it was not worth trying. They also stated that the T&P valve was not covered due to the PRV potentially causing the issue (which I could understand as that’s how home warranty works). They then tried to get me to install an expansion tank, which is not required in my area, and they wanted to replace the T&P valve. They told me the T&P valve would cost $140 to replace and it would be $180 to install an expansion tank. I asked if either part was needed to be replaced in order for the tank to start heating again and they said no, now that the PRV reduced the pressure it would begin working again but the T&P might leak. They “checked” the tank and stated everything had power and it would heat up in about 45-50 minutes and said they had to leave and wouldn’t wait to ensure it was heating. After 3 hours I still had no hot water. I called back and they stated that the claim was denied and they couldn’t replace it under home warranty but would come back out and replace the tank for $1100. I questioned the denial since they obviously misdiagnosed the problem and I still didn’t have hot water.

I got a second opinion from another plumber through HSA and they found the issue within ten minutes. There was no power to the tank and when he pulled the panel on top of the tank, the wires and wire nuts were melted together and burned. Amazing how Nussbaumer stated two days prior that there was power to the tank and it was working correctly when that is impossible with the condition of the wiring. HSA should pull them as a vendor as they only attempt to upcharge their customers to make money outside of HSA and do not actually assess the problems.

My experience was great. The technician was very friendly and on time. He quickly found and repaired a pinhole leak due to electrolysis and the cost was very reasonable. He answered all my questions and explained everything very well. Thank you!

I feel screwed!
This company was sent to me by American home shield to change my water heater, when the technician came to diagnose the problem he didn’t notice that i have an expansion tank (that was not correct because i had one) then i called many times to have the job done, and at the end they charge me 567$ extra out of pocket including 230$ for the expansion tank (it’s price is 30-50$!).

We had a medical emergency at the tail end of our 5 hour window. I asked if we could make it back in an hour and the woman answering calls said no. I asked if we could reschedule and she said no. She wanted to lecture me on company policies instead. Absurd.

The plumber lied to the manager, advising he was willing to replace the water heater same day but we had concerns about the cost, also advised the front desk manager we cursed at him. Both untrue, we pleaded with him to fix, it was the after Christmas and we had guests.

On 1/21/21 Nussbaumer plumbing came to my house to diagnosis an issue with my Rheem hot water tank. During this appointment they determined that the tank was leaking from the base and that the tank needed replaced. Since the tank was under warranty they told me to contact Rheem and schedule a new appointment and they would exchange the tank for a new one that was covered by warranty. They quoted me $400-$500 for the labor for this replacement. After contacting Rheem and confirming the tank was covered, I scheduled an appointment with Nussbaumer for 1/25/21 to swap out hot water tanks. While scheduling the appointment Nussbaumer said that they would take care of removing the old tank and bringing a new one from their stock. Upon arrival to my house on 1/25/21 they decided to add another $150 charge for old tank removal and another $150 charge for a new expansion tank. This additional $300 in charges were never discussed during the initial quote or during scheduling for this appointment. I then called Nussbaumer on 1/26/21 to discuss this billing issue. During this call, the scheduler stated that she never knew that I would need the old tank removed/new tank delivered or she would have told me about this $150 charge. However, when I asked why the technicians showed up with the exact tank make/model we needed despite apparently not knowing we needed the new tank, she angrily hung up the phone.

They had 2 opportunities prior to arrival to state all charges that would apply the day of service, yet they failed to do so. They knew since it was past business hours for most plumbers (645pm) that I would have to go another night without hot water before getting the tank replaced if I chose not to accept their additional charges. These business practices are unethical in nature and should be changed immediately.

Shane came and was very professional and he explained everything and answered my questions. As he was working he said what was what he was doing step by step and even after he unclogged the toilet he explained to me how to get my toilet to flush better just by cleaning a certain spot at the bottom inside the bowl and it would flow a little better.

Dishonest as can be, tried to rip me off for an additional $450 through an HSA. Don't know the difference between drywall and lathe/plaster. Never encountered a more dishonest company; refused to use them. Get a second opinion before you waste your time and money.

Had a leak under one of my sinks. They came I it and the tech was very helpful and nice. However they hooked the hot and cold water lines up to the wrong sides. When I called they said they could not come back out since “they said they never touched those lines”. As a plumbing company you would think that testing lines would be step 1 on assuring that things are correct. Oh and I paid them extra money to check all the other sinks in the house as well. So not only did they mess up my hot and cold but made an additional $90 off of me.

Pathetic

Kevin was fast and efficient. He arrived before he said he would and resolved all the plumbing problems at a fair price. Would use again.

Two technicians performed a service on my pipes on 10/15. (Since it is Covid-times I’ll mention one was wearing a mask and one had his under his chin.) I went through my home warranty, which I thought would have covered the service, but I was charged $800 because they said that what they had to do wasn’t covered by the warranty. My hands were tied, so I agreed. After they left, the toilet was still wobbling - which was what they told me had caused the issue in the first place. I called back on 10/23 to let them know. The receptionist said the technician would review my case and get back to me. After I did not get a response, I called back on 11/10. Still haven’t heard anything. So I’ve paid $800 and now (I’m assuming) the problem is just going to happen again.

The home warranty company sent these plumbers out. Once to fix the shower, had to come out twice, problem was never fixed. Then we had a sink issue, home warranty company sent them out, again two times problem still not fixed for very long, had another company come out and they explained and showed why the issue was occurring. Finally fixed the problem for good.

We had roots in our sewer line causing backups and headaches. Nussbaumer sent two plumbers to check out the situation. They sent a camera down the line and determined that our porch might have to come off in order to excavate. I’d like to point out here that we had just purchased this home a month ago and the porch had just been built.

They said they’d email us an estimate the next day.

Next day came and no estimate so we called and were told we’d get the estimate the next day.

Next day came and nothing so we called another plumbing service who showed up within an hour, did a much much longer camera test, and determined that the problem was actually further out and our porch in no way needed to be touched. This plumber wrote an estimate that day and started work the next day.

4 days later we received the estimate from Nussbaumer finally. It called for us to remove our entire porch and the porch roof before they would begin.so that they could dig in the wrong place.

This company was selected to inspect (and replace) my toilet due to crack in tank as part of my warranty. This service was 100 percent covered in my warranty contract. When the guys (Scott) came in, he just took the photo and told us that the cracks usually are not covered, when actually they are as per my contract. He then went away for 30 mins to talk about warranty claim and came back that it is not covered and abruptly started offering paid services. When I called home warranty, they said that Scott told the authorization dept that I misused the toilet and purposefully break the same. This is a scam to put us in a corner so that we are forced to buy their service rather than take advantage of warranty. Also the home warranty assigned another contractor and suggested that they will probably get the claim approved. TOTAL SCAM and UNETHICAL losers and cheaters. The other guy was just busy smoking the cigarette.

Repaired Shower drip. Fixed the drip but put the faucet in backwards (hot is cold and cold is hot). The water no longer gets hot. When I called to have them repair they were very rude and put the blame on me. Horrible DO NOT USE!
