Patient First - Wyomissing reviews
25I don't have insurance and went to Patient First to be treated for an ear infection because the fees are clear and up front. I was able to get in and out with a diagnosis and prescription in 30 minutes. The visit was also affordable. The staff were all friendly. The office was clean. I would definitely go here again.
Was expecting to wait hours for treatment. Pleasantly surprised I was in and out in 45 minutes plus had antibiotics without a trip to the pharmacy. Will definitely recommend Patient's First to my family and friends.
I was treated in May 2017 for swollen tonsils. The strep test came back negative but due to the severity of the tonsils, I was given antibiotics and recovered quickly. However, when I returned in December with the same issue, I was started on steroids on a Thursday. The steroids did not work and my swollen tonsils worsened where I did not want to eat, sleep, drink, or do anything due to the pain. The pain started in my tonsils, then my neck where the lymph nodes are, then I had an earache, and finally in my jawline and teeth. I had to take off of work during this time. When I went back to tell them that my tonsils were more swollen and had gotten worse, not better, Irene would not give me antibiotics even though she knew they worked for me in May. Instead, I was given hydrocodone/Vicodin for the pain without the cause of the pain being addressed. She was extremely rude as well, acted like I didn't know what I was talking about, and did not treat me properly. When I was on hydrocodone, my symptoms got even worse. At this point, I couldn't take it anymore and thankfully went to the ER at St. Joseph's Hospital where the doctor guessed immediately that I had an abscess in my tonsils. I was hospitalized for two days and treated immediately with steroids and antibiotics. Wouldn't you know that I recovered instantly and that I did indeed have an abscess in my right tonsil. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with my "treatment" at Patient First and now I have unnecessary hospital bills.
Wow waited 2 hours in severe sinus head pain as I have a flight tomorrow only to be told “it’s viral and you should be good with nose spray. ” Really? That’s the best you have to offer? This place is a joke.all they do is take your money and limit their liability.
I love Patients First! It's so convenient, I don't have to miss time at work for my appointment and they fill my script right there.
Saves so much time! The staff is so friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I had a follow up question about my prescription and they called me back right away to answer it. Wonderful team!
