Pets Plus - Quakertown

I always experience great help from the staff at Pets Plus. They generally carry whatever I need for my cats, dog, and tortoise. Moreover, I feel like they appreciate my patronage. I never feel like a number there and their love of animals shows.
In the last two decades I have bought two kittens there. Both were/are healthy and, though the first one has since passed on, I enjoyed many happy years with him. My little female is now four years old and I won’t hesitate to get another cat there when the time comes.
Pets Plus has a place where you can interact with the animals up for adoption. They let me bring my grieving senior cat (after his feline playmate died a month earlier) in to see how he responded to a potential “brother” or “sister”. The picture shows him that day with the female I ended up adopting.

So I adopted a dog from here and I lost his registration papers in a recent move. So i called to find out how I went about getting a copy of his registration. And the rude lady on the phone in the most exasperated annoyed voice goes "we cant help you with that, we dont have them! " And said " I know, Im trying to find out how I go about getting a copy" and she just repeated herself even more exasperated " We dont have them, cant help you". So apparently they dont even know What company they registered the dog through. This place is a sham! DOnt come here! WHen i got my dog he had horrible worms. Vet said it was the worst case he ever saw! And their feeder fish poisoned my tank! Id give 0 stars if I could.

Love this place reasonable fish selection fresh/salt water. Fuzzy critters for sale and some.what a PET store should be taken notes CHAIN STORES PETSMO AND PETDUH. LOL. OWNER SHOULD PAY LIL BETTER MAKE STAFF LOOK HAPPIER TO BE THERE.not mean or rude jist look like they may need a hug or my guess a raise.should have maor info on hand for small pets and for price any shots available perhaps given would be much better buy and helpful. My opinion. Otherwise.bravo

Most of the reptiles had either empty or moldy water dishes. I told one of the employees and they shrugged me off.

I drive an hour to visit, Wayne is the best! Prices are good, great customer service.this is the best place around hands down.thank you very much,

This is the best aquarium store in the greater Philadelphia area. They had arowana, flowerhorn, giant frontosa, really special fish. Not just generic stuff. They spend their time sourcing really cool species. Will return here soon. His prices were very fair. I left knowing I had gotten a great deal. Thank you Wayne.

After a couple days, the arowana and peacock bass I purchased here are doing great.

THIS PLACE STINKS!
No amount of air freshener in the doorway can cover up the stench of poor animal husbandry that is ubiquitous in this over-priced animal-trafficking establishment. The store is poorly maintained and has been getting worse over the past year. It's a shame.

Bought my rabbit here and he is the sweetest thing ever they always try to keep up with taking care of the animals

James is knowledgeable and always provides great customer service when helping me find new toys, treats, or food for my puppy.

Awesome employee Jen welcomed my son and I to this, huggable, lovable, adorable Cur Mix. Cant say enough about our visit, but these pics say a thousand words.

Some fish, plants, etc here both fresh and salt. Dead fish and dirty tanks are a constant here. Make sure to drop anything you get into a quarantine tank.

This place is dirty. It smells horrible and the shelves and products are covered in dust. Expired, old products are not rotated out, and the prices here are ASTRONOMICAL compared to other pet stores in the area and online. Skip it.

I was thrown back with how rude and foul mouthed the owner was to his employees. He treated me like an annoyance without me having said a word to him. I was going to spend a couple hundred on supplies for a new tegu enclosure despite them costing so much more than Petco. I left hoping to find another local ma and pop shop.

None of the employees could figure out how to use one of their own harness products, however, they really tried and were very friendly.

Nice staff, lots of products and animals to adopt. Sad that they only allow 21 year olds to look at cats and dogs. But other than that content.

These guys are good. If you ask a tricky question about your pet there is usually someone who knows the answer

Not the cleanest nor most inexpensive store but the staff is always friendly and its easy to find anything you may need here. They also have rescued puppers up for adoption!

Other than for the cute cashier, I'm not going back. I wouldn't want to give my financial support. The cages looked like they were not cleaned very often, but the animals looked relatively happy. Overall it looked sketchy. The other workers didn't appear very hands-on for a place that requires more maintenance and love in comparison to other retail stores.

Got our dog from here and she turned out great! Whenever we go back to buy food or other accessories the staff are very helpful and willing to chat. They even remember the dog even though its been years since we got her.
