24Overall this is a great public park. Lots of things to do for kids and adults. The fields are very well kept. The horse stables at the end of look very well kept as well. Lots of Boy Scout and Girl Scout activities as well. Very good walking paths as well. Some opportunities for short hikes as well. Cars seem to stay under the 25 mile an hour speed limit as well.
DO NOT VISIT SOUTH PARK STABLES. THEY HAVE MULITPLE STARGLES OUTBREAKS AND BOARDERS DO NOT FOLLOW QUARENTINE. WORST FARM IN THE EAST COAST!
The groove called Elm was not all that nice. The road to it wasn't taken care of well and there was ruts everywhere. And the grassy area was hard to have a slip and slide and volley ball court
Fairly certain that South Park is Allegheny county's largest county park. I really enjoy that it has plenty of wooded trails for walking my two dogs. Although it would be helpful for general public use, if these various trails were more clearly marked.
