The Frick Pittsburgh reviews
26Very interesting cars/carriages exhibit. Permanent collection is very old and interesting. Beautiful grounds, cant wait for more buildings to open after covid. Will go back.
Free entrance and beautiful artwork. Employees are polite and gave us so much information about pieces and the history of the museum. Also, there is a lovely park across the street.
The Maker and the Muse was amazing! Unfortunately, it ends tomorrow. The Frick is taking all safety precautions seriously.
Great historic tour of the house of a Pittsburgh millionaire. Painstakingly preserved and maintained. Wish there was less mention of the vast expanses of the house not open for public viewing.
A small but really fantastic art collection, and a very interesting house where the family lived. Gallery is free and the house tour full of useful information and a reasonable price. Good car museum and a nice café in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Not great for children but for grown ups lots of interesting history a lovely art.
The Frick museum is a great way to learn about Pittsburgh's past and how it has evolved from the steel boom to now being a cultural gem in USA. The amount of art and technology in this city is great and the Frick holds on to a segment of what made Pittsburgh into what it is today. The main art pieces at the Frick are a collection from the family's private collection. The exhibits that come through make it worth going back for each one as they explore a wide range of mediums and subjects.
Had a wonderful time here. They let you wander at will and there's no pressure. Was working there installed window film very nice people
Excellent car display. Art gallery was ok. The gift shop glass building was really nice. Wished they had talked about it.
A jewel of a small art museum in a residential neighborhood. The Clayton mansion next door is also worth visiting.
A nice piece of Pittsburgh history being preserved in the surroundings of a broken down community. Beauty in the midst of an area begging for a resurgence.
Wonderful quiet place to view a incredible art collection. And free. Where have you seen that lately?
A lovely gem in Pittsburgh! Wonderful exhibits. Family friendly. Lots to see and do for everyone. I look forward to going again soon.
Amazing place to spend time. I went here with my friends and it was a nice experience of visiting this museum.
Great museum to visit. We enjoy our time there and love to explore the space! The cafe is somehow famous and always seems to be loaded of customers. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. The museum area is very clean and well organized.
Unusual/rare exhibits taking place multiple times a year. We've enjoyed the history of the high heel, the history of undergarments and the recent monet, manet, digas installments. Across the street is frick park, a great spot for a picnic or a stroll before or art the museum.
Excellent small art venue with interesting exhibits. The permanent exhibit is also very good. The carriage museum is excellent. Make sure to stop in the greenhouse, look for the bananas! Well worth an afternoon or evening visit, impressive that this is almost completely free (only the Clayton requires payment in the form of paying for a guided tour).
The museum has some of the best rotating exhibits in the city. The house is gorgeous and the docents are very knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful to just enjoy a walk. Great gift shop!
We visit the Frick often. It's such a nice gem in pointe breeze. Highly recommend going and checking it out. Stop by on Friday nights too!
Pleasant place to spend a few hours with a few diverse exhibits.
Main exhibit is OK. Carriage house is great with the historical cars, and the greenhouse is worth a visit too.
Its a funny concept to go spend a few hours looking at old rich peoples stuff. Really gives you an appreciation for how the 'gilded age' ones lived.
The grounds are really nice to wander through.
Parking is on site and plentiful.
