Very poor service. I rented a few months back and had to wait over 30 minutes for Thrifty to clean the car. I recently gave them another shot and rented again. This time the two agents staffing the desk failed to address my issue They were very unhelpful, pretty rude and quite disrespectful. The agents lacked a grasp of basic rental policies. Prices at Thrifty are sometimes better than the competition but beware that the service is very subpar.

Customer service was horrible and there is no acknowledgement. The representatives were rolling their eyes at all customers with mad faces. Car was really filthy outside and inside. Also the inside smelled like smoke. Not a pleasant experience at all. Please hire people with good customer service and who are eager to work. As people coming in from long flights don't need this experience.

What a horrible check in experience. I flew in for a funeral. Waited in line for one hour. They were asking people paying with debits and credit card for deposits. Yelling thru walkie takies. Also yelling at people in line to have their licenses ready. The ladies were rude to several elderly people checking in. If you have a debit, they'll hold $500, and check your credit even if you provide a return flight. Do yourself a favor and go to Enterprise. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I paid with debit and they didn't hold any deposits. They didn't check my credit only needed a return flight.

Thrify follows a scamming process to promote their rental cars. I traveled over 15 mi one way, just for Thrify rep to say, "You're allowed to use debit cards but it's a $500 hold". They deny this information over the phone if you'd ask, and have you book a reservation online. DON'T DO IT.

If I could give zero stars I would. Thrifty did not not honor my reservation and allowed people to cut the line while I waited 45minutes. I opted to use the EZ pass option expecting to pay actual charges for usage, however these criminals charged me $32 for ~$6 in tolls. Since writing this review Thrifty randomly charged my credit card an additional $98 no explanation or receipt provided. I will be notifying the FTC. Never rent with Thrifty or Dollar!

Horrible customer service. They are thieves! They told us we needed extra car insurance and never told us how much the EZPass was to rent. We had already paid for the car rental and then they ended up charging us an additional $800 for insurance we didn’t need! And $26 a day for EZPass? !? ! We returned the car early because of this and they still charged us $500! Even though we dropped the car off four days early. Absolute liars and thieves. I was told by customer service that we needed to go in to the counter to get our money back. We drove all the way back to the airport to get the charges straightened out and the woman at the desk refused to do anything. DON’T RENT FROM THRIFTY. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF! And they don’t even care.

They were great for me and right across from the Airport Marriott. Very convenient. However when I dropped off my car (super fast and easy) there were about 30 people there waiting for cars. - Friday night 8: 30 p.m. - wouldn't want to be one of them.

C was so kind and helpful she had a mask on but I can tell she had a beautiful smile as she helped me made sure I understood there was an extra fee for using my bank card repeated it again so I was sure to have heard all around a very pleasant encounter and dear lady as I was exiting just a joy smiling so big and joking with me I will def do business again also car is amazing it glides

Unbelievable. Arrived At 9: 00pm. Line was 30 deep with one counter person. Then two came out and One left. The employees were so slow. There was not one bit of urgency. They didn’t care ther people were waiting ove an hour. Finally did the paperwork and then waited outside for another 20 minutes. They had to switch out my car because of low tire pressure. Worst car rental experience ever. And I prepaid Just what I needed after flying across country all day. Thanks thrifty for that experience. Is that the kind of experience you want your customers to have. How would you like to deal with this pitiful operation Now an hour drive.

Really bad service. We have been in a line up to get to the counter for just under an hour and my husband is still in line. Ónly 2 people helping. It's kind of ridiculous. Longest wait we have had in years. Oh.but then again, we don't normally use Thrifty.and certainly won't ever again

Pick up: you will see a sign „car rental“ and once you exit the airport doors you need to stop (!) one of the busses with Budget/Thrift on it (do not take Alamo or any other Bus) you will need to wait 5-15min!
Eventually they will bringt you to Budget in about 10min ride outside the airport area.

The line took me 30min, needed my data again, and asked for all kind of insurances. Just say you are full covered (if you are). They were nice but the process took way too long!

This. Place. Is. A. Nightmare. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Long wait for the shuttle. Loooong line once you get to the place. No sense of urgency, or even care for the people waiting. I've definitely learned my lesson. Read the reviews before agreeing to rent a car. And you clearly get what you pay for. There's a reason that renting a car from here is inexpensive.

Andrea at PHL Thrift provided great service. It was busy and crowded, but she was informative and helpful with a smile to make our visit and needs met at Phili. I will continue to use thrifty for our car rental needs! Thank you Thrifty!

Hello my experience with Thrifty was beyond excellent. So I dropped off my vehicle to the wrong rental company but thanks to Ed, Carol and their manager they where able to locate it and close out my rental, this entire time they where very professional, and informative. Thanks to their help and support and care.

Long line when trying to get car but it went fairly smooth. Only issue was returning car. GPS kept taking us to an industrial park. Found out it was a previous location. Car was in great shape and no issues with it.

This car agency is the worst I ever used. They had a transponder for toll roads on the car, which was behind the rear view mirror. It was dark and raining when I enter the car and didn't notice it. When I went through a toll booth the transponder was activated. At the tollthere was no one there to pay the toll. The sign said they would take a picture and bill me. Several weeks later I recieved a bill for $148.45. The Thirfty customer service person at the front desk spent 10 minutes talking about their gas program, but never mentioned the toll transponder on the car. I was able to call and get the cost reduced to $38.20, which is still a lot of money for just 2 tolls.
The other issue is they charged me double for the taxes and the "customer facility charges" and "concession fee recovery" these fees were over $150.00, which I am now disputing.
I just wanted to rent a car, now I am spending time trying not to get screwed over by Thirfty.

Crazy crowded! Over 40 people in line.was a nut roll. Looked under staffed and overwhelmed. As a "blue chip" member I eventually skipped the line and moved up to the far right window with a small sign that said "blue chip members". I was helped right after the person who was there finished. Also there was a small printed sign posted in the middle of the room with blue chip members names on it, but it only went through 9: 30 (it was near 11am, and my pickup time was 10am, so my name was not on the board). Bottom line a stressful experience today.

My first and last time renting from Thrifty. Waited 45 minutes for shuttle at Philly airport. Others indicated it was an hour. We saw all other car rental shuttles 4 and 5 times. No local number to call and reservations was no help. Eventually cancelled and went to Hertz. Good ridden!

We have the booking and came in for work. The primary on the car rental was my co-worker and I was told I should put myself on there as an additional driver so I told the woman who checked us in. The only thing she did was say I'll take your driver's license and it's a very end of the car rental she said sign here. So I did do you know what that woman did? She doubled the charge. So now instead of paying $450 my company has to pay $900 simply because she said nothing to me. I find that to be so underhanded and unbelievable what a terrible business practice she didn't say read the big long contract she said nothing about the price. What is even worse is we were only doing it just in case I needed to drive I never drove. I expected there to be some kind of small surcharge but to double the cost of the rental and the insurance for 5 days is incomprehensible. What's worse is it was all done at my work. So my recommendation is if you need to rent a car for work you do it elsewhere if you have more than one driver this is as underhanded and fraudulent scheme as I have ever seen. And when our admin assistant tried calling she was told nothing we can do because I signed. So apparently Thrifty has no problem with this practice.

Arrived after my reservation start time. There were 10-15 people sitting around and I should have seen the issue coming. The clerk informed me there were no cars
and it would be a 1-2 hour wait. Cancelled the reservation went to Hertz and got a car immediately for $10 more. I won't try and save a few bucks with Thrifty ever again.
