My family and I love dim sum. We wanted to try a different place, so we happened to walk across to the quaint place. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. We order pork dim sum, pork fried rice, chicken wings, pork lo mein and general tso chicken to share. The dim sum was good…but the wings were undercooked a food poisoning nightmare if we. Didn’t cut it open first, the general tso chicken is NOT a what I expected it tasted like straight up ketchup and I told the server it was horrible tasting like ketchup she stated oh we do different style, well you should put that on your menu. Fried rice, lo mein, spring rolls were all cooked in an oyster sauce of some sort, my son being high allergic (asphyxiation can happen) can smell seafood a mile away. Only thing we ate was the dim sum. Asked for check the comped us for the tso and wings, asked if I wanted to take the others leftovers I told them no it was horrible. Don’t go there!

The food was good. The service was really bad. The waitress was rude. She waved with her hand while we were talking to her and simply left us!
Despite the food is flavorful, we won't go there again.

The food was wonderful, but we didn't stay to eat since there was a sit down fee of $10 per person. The ambience would have been beautiful if we could afford it.

Not the best visit. Food was great, would recommend their dumplings and soup (s). However, the customer service was poor. But yay, the BYOB option.

We really enjoyed this place. We had about 10 different dishes. All were very good. No cart service. I would definitely recommend this place

Tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am obsessed ever since. I loved the good vibes and delightful food and drinks. 5 stars from me.

Tom’s has the Best roast pork buns I’ve ever had in my life. Both doughy and savory, and when you dip them in the sweet soy sauce, it’s little bites of heaven.
I live just outside the takeout radius, so whenever I come to center city I always treat myself.

The pork brown sauce noodle portion is disappointing, pretty small, not fulfilling consider it’s over $9 after tax. However, it’s great that it comes with some vegetables. I like the texture of their noodles.

The food wasn't even that good but their attitude was unbelievably rude. I came here to eat, not to look at their impatient faces. They should get their attitude straight and make their food better.

Having been a huge fan of Tom's for years I'm sad to say they have fallen off, while it used to be a place to get large portions of dim sum for great prices they have cut all of their portions basically in half and jacked their prices way up. I used to recommend this place to anyone and everyone but I think their increased popularity went to their heads a little.

The environment was nice but food was mediocre. We ordered the crab meat pork dumplings and wonton soup. Dumplings were okay but one of them was served broken. The wonton soup was bland. We’ve tried better dim sum places in Chinatown.

Waited OVER 2 hours for a delivery only to get the response that they canceled my order due to "high order volume". They won't have to worry about me adding to that volume ever again. If you can't handle orders that come in on a Friday night, you're in the wrong business.

The best dim sum Philly has to offer! Tasty and reasonably priced. I used to come here on my lunch break when I worked in the area. I look forward to eating here again.

I was a little disappointed when I found out this was not one of those Dim Sum from a cart place. It was my fault for not researching first.

We were the only customer for a little more than an hour. The servers were very attentive.

The food taste great. I had the Walnut Shrimp. The different flavors go well together.

The atmosphere is clean and modern, with very friendly staff. The food has so much flavor. The soup dumplings are a must! I wish I was closer, this would be a weekly trip.

I had read some good reviews about the restaurant and it was immediately across the street from our hotel. I loved it. It serves delicious soup dumplings, a dish that I rarely find in other restaurants. It is truly a " find", inexpensive, not fancy and good food.

Great place for dim sum, not too crowded during lunch time so good for a big group. Prices were good, lots of options. Service is okay.

The food is of excellent quality and priced at a bargain. We like to stick to the first couple of pages of the menu and order dim sum and a few other appetizers. However, the rest of the menu is also quite good, especially the General Tso's tofu. The service is also excellent, and the restaurant is almost never crowded. Toms Dim Sum has become my go-to place for dim sum as it narro beats nearby competitor Dim Sum Garden in nearly every category.
