U-Haul Moving & Storage of South Philadelphia

Super easy location to get to if you're moving around the neighborhood, and we had no issues with the van we rented.

This place's a joke. They mismanage everything. They book reservations without checking to see if they even have the truck. I don't recommend this place.

I would give zero star if I could. It's literally the worst U-Haul ever. They booked my reservation when they didn't even have the truck and changed the pick-up location without notifying me. I got there and found out that I couldn't pick up the truck. I had to call somewhere else to book it. I had everything packed up with no truck. I don't know how they manage the system, but even a gorilla can do a better job than this.

Absolutely, five star service. The manager was great, (she). When I rent from U-Haul again, it will definitely be from this location.

I went to rent a truck to move. The process was quick and easy. I spend less than 10 minutes there before heading out with the truck. Vehicle was well maintained and price was very reasonable. A good experience.

The sun visor was broken and the shade fell multiple times in the view of my eyes while driving from vibration of truck I had to hold it up very annoying and uncomfortable

Eh. Contactless pick-up didn't work out so I had to go inside. First truck they assigned me had no AC and low tire pressure. 2nd one was ok but I went all of 6 miles and I had to put 2 gallons of gas in to get back to where I was on the gauge.
Price was ok.
The woman who checked me back in when I returned is very pleasant.

Truck was new, clean and ready to go. Drop off (one way rental) was easy and there were no surprise fees or charges.

I have had my storage here at this location for the past five months and I'm not pleased with their pricing which I think is too expensive also due to the fact that they do not have pest control and I have to deal with insects and rats crawling on my storage I cannot wait till this Friday to take my stuff out of here

The Staff wasn't friendly or helpful. I happened to be helped by the owner who was passive, mumbled questions he wouldn't repeat and didn't make eye contact.

This place has a severe rodent problem my clothes and furniture was ruined and the staff are very rude and they were aware of the problem and never notified anyone that a problem existed they were very unprofessional mice droppings every where

Staff is A1 garbage. They treat it like it's their personal playground with ZERO professionalism, ZERO. One building is maintained and the other across the street is like a Tomb Raider/Hunger Games adventure.may the odds be ever in your favor F-

It's kind of silly to have a reservation system tell me I have a cargo trailer here if the equipment is in SW Philly.

Don’t use these idiots. Their vehicles are prohibited from using Kimball but still do. Have had one car totaled already and another badly damaged in Kimball street, Philadelphia and they deny any involvement.
Worst UHaul there is, avoid them like the plague! ZERO STARS!

Be prepared to wait. Staff is usually pretty friendly, but there's nowhere near enough of them to handle the workload of how busy this location is. Very poor control of the parking lot. I have been blocked in several times unable to leave without going back in to the store to complain.

Excellent service. My daughter wished to change return location for a 5x8 trailer from this location to Oregon Avenue. Employee contacted 800 number (with us on the phone) to alter reservation, so we could continue en route from Indianapolis to Philadelphia without complications.
I recommend highly!

Solid place. My online reservation failed to process so they had to get me a truck when I arrived. No issue doing that and check out and return was very smooth. I would recommend this place

Just be careful about estimating how many miles you will be driving, there's a small fine if you go over. Vehicle worked fine and was in good shape and the service was great.

I had a U-Haul storage unit, the only thing I do not like is their hours. They close early, so if you work late or have a lot going on daily take that into account.

These bouls trill af, they will meet your moving needs any time, any where.boxes, trucks, hitch recievers, storage, you name it.and the manager there Andrew Curry and Shanara Bond are the bees knees.
