Uncle Jim's Worm Farm, Spring Grove PA

Ordered 250 super reds, and received what appears to be 100 worms at best. $50 for handful of worms? Uncle Jim, more Daddy Warbucks sheesh

We have recently ordered mealworms through uncle Jim's during their Black Friday specials event. When we received our mealworms some of them had not made it during the trip which was kind of to be expected. We reached out to Uncle Jim's the customer service was phenomenal they took care of us sent out our original order again which was 4,000 milworms could not be happier with the way we've been treated. I highly recommend this company to anybody looking to get into red wigglers mealworms or any other kind of worm activities.

I have to say, I was nervous at trying out this composting stuff, but after watching a few videos on Youtube I decided to give it a shot. I have to say Uncle Jim's Worms did the trick. They were healthy and did their job beautifully and even after we transported them to another container and started a fresh bin, once again satisfied with the results. Nice and chubby worms now though.

Every interaction with Uncle Jim's has been excellent. They helped me select the worm composting bin that was right for me. Everything arrived intact and healthy. Everytime I have called to ask a question I've been met with knowledgeable staff and helpful and kind staff. I highly recommend their company!

Uncle Jim's Worm Farm really went above and beyond for me in the area of customer service! I was looking for some worms to get me started with worm castings for my garden. The staff were happy to answer my questions, to point me in a few great directions re: feeding/expansion of worm farm, and they even included stickers for my kids. I wanted to go out of my way to support a local business and I'm quite happy that I did. Instead of a faceless, corporate entity, I got real people who care about their product. BUYER BEWARE! "RED" Worms sent are actually BLUE WORMS. I am new to vermicomposting and fell hook, line, and sinker (without the red worm) for the wholesome family business looking website. I emailed them and In the email to me they even stated that the actually do send blue worms.smh.just write that on your website then!

Story time: When using an app to teach my lo we found out we were sent blue worms. Why does it matter if they are red or blue? If you live where thunderstorms happen BLUE worms freak out and OVERNIGHT THEY WILL BE GONE, they leave your bin or garden.

So far, I found 4 websites that are not shady and tell you clearly what you are buying.

Now I get to teach my lo how to report shady businesses to the Attorney Geneals Office and BBB and maybe even a class action to help others not be deceived by shady businesses.

I ordered worms & they never sent them with no email telling me they were holding due to weather (hot weather resolved & they still would not ship) & told me to read their shipping policy. Another order took over 7 days to arrive. Very poor customer relations. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM!

Super happy with our worms! We got them for our garden. They all arrived alive. We added the water to the bag they arrived in as recommended and they were super happy! They wriggled right into the garden dirt and we're looking forward to having them do their magic!

I have been ordering worms from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm for several years now. At the beginning of each school year, I set up a worm bin in my classroom. My students bring in their organic waste from home throughout the year and we have had great success with Uncle Jim's amazing worms. This year we even decided to make a second worm composting bin for my friend's classroom. Worm bins are great for classrooms!

After 40 years of experience, this business can't figure out how to ship worms across the PA/WV state border. Both shipments never revived from their journey. I can't image how they expect to ship across the country. This establishment wasted 3 weeks of my time.

This is the first time ordering meal worms from Uncle Jim's worm farm. We received 1000 live mealworms for less than $23 (very reasonable imo with free shipping). I put the order in on their website on Sunday afternoon and we received our order Tuesday afternoon (sufficiently quick). The worms came in a breathable zipper bag with care instructions. There were a few dead ones (to be expected) but the majority were alive and in good condition (a much better alive to dead ratio than our local pet store delivers).

Anyway, our beardie was very pleased with the size and quality, and so were we with the efficiency of delivery and quality of the product. Hopefully they will implement a scheduled delivery feature on their website in the future for ongoing scheduled deliveries! Photo of Biscuit, our Bearded Dragon, for tax.

I've ordered from uncle Jim's a few times and they always deliver an abundance of fresh healthy worms.

My last batch came in dead and I wasn't able to take a picture of them since I was outside working. I emailed the company and explained what happened. Under their guarantee, I had a healthy replacement batch of worms on my doorstep in two days!

I am so impressed and excited! The worms I received are strong, healthy, clean, beautiful worms! I am sooooooo happy with the product I received. If you follow the instructions, you will be very happy too! I HIGHLY recommend Uncle Jim's Worms. Also, the support I have received has been prompt, accurate and friendly.

Responsive customer service, works hard to make sure you're satisfied with the product. Like most living things, worms can be touchy when shipped so sometimes you don't get perfection-the company realizes this and does it best to ensure you're happy with the delivery and the end product.

Ordered worms & worm compost. Quality products, my garden needed a ‘lil Uncle Jim’s “luv”. I distributed the worms throughout my yard and gardens. Customer service was helpful with questions in regard to amounts needed for square footage. Suggest putting a DIY calculator on your site for customers to use with links back to product to be ordered (redirect). Gets customer involved in education and then makes it super easy to order without effort. I’m a 2nd time customer and now a “lifer”. TY!

Night crawlers arrived today healthy and already in their new home in my garden. Very happy with the quality and fast shipping.

I'm setting up my first couple of worm bins and bought worms from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm. Unfortunately they got lost in the mail and died on the way but without questioning me, they immediately sent out new worms for me that arrived alive and are now getting accustomed to their new home in my worm bin!
This is what customer service is all about and why I'll continue to support Uncle Jim's Worm Farm as my worm farming operation grows.
