Coddington Brewing Company reviews
30 Very disappointed with my spinach artichoke dip. The waitress offered to get me something else but I was hungry
It was sooooo bland. I think they left the artichoke out of it
Stopped in here for Father's Day recently. I lived in Newport in the early 00s and used to come in here a lot. Fortunately the place hasn't changed at all. This is easily one of the best brew pubs in RI. The ambience is nice, very clean and well maintained. There is a great view of the brewery wall from the dining room via a glass wall. The menu is diverse with nice selection of seafood and pub fare. Food is made fresh and served hot. But the big sell here is the beer which they brew on site. I've tried many of them. It was warm and sunny outside, so I went with the blueberry ale - which was refreshing and crisp. Overall a good experience. Service was good too. Highly recommended.
The food was great and the service too. We had some salmon with crispy spinach which I’ve never seen before! And it was great.
Good was delicious. Big portions. Their beer is brewed on site and sampler is always worth the trip!
This place was amazing! Parking is free! Only tried one beer so can’t speak about the other beer choices but they were plentiful. The blackened chicken Alfredo was yummy and a very large portion for the price. The jumbo coconut shrimp for an appetizer were some of the largest shrimp I have seen! It was delicious. Clams casino, clam chowder, and Buffalo chicken wrap with curly fries were simply outstanding. Great place to go in the Newport area that is not around the hustle and bustle of downtown! Can’t wait to go back.
Great meal per usual.the coconut shrimp was great, the lobster bisque was perfect, our chicken cesar salads were crisp and well dressed.add a watermelon ale to wash it down and quick friendly service.and it all adds up to why Coddington Brewery is amongst our favorite restraunts.
The food is excellent and the service is also very excellent, I strongly recommend this place it’s great
It was OK. Stopped in for date night with my man. Menu was ridiculously large.asked for a booth they sat us at a table near the bathroom.it was not busy.waitress was average, she didn't mention specials etc.they have a basic gluten friendly menu which is nice but limited.if your a beer drinker it's a fantastic place.not cozy.not romantic.won't go back.way overpriced.
I, personally, was very impressed with the waitstaff at this establishment. I am not a big beer person and the waitress was very helpful in helping me find a beer that I liked. They also had really good food options and were accommodating to my dietary restrictions. The waitress came over and checked on us multiple times which was very helpful and she made great conversation. Definitely recommend.
Ate here today with my kids and grandson. Very happy. Clean, good beer, good food, and great service.
Coddington is AMAZING - we came here to get the stamp on our RI Brewers Guild Passport and it’s been our favorite place so far. Great food and GREAT beer. Don’t miss the Watermelon Ale.
Mediocre food, slow and disappearing service, forgotten and super long Intermittent waits, during first part of lunch period. Should have read the other reviews before coming. Recurring Themes.
Very good brews, nice atmosphere. Friendly bartenders, Newport is an awesome town.
The description of each beer is right on, all of the samples in the flight were delicious.
Beer was damn good.
Food was tasty
Service was friendly and prompt.
Prices were super reasonable.
We love this place! The food is always delicious, excellent service and great beers! We love going here just the 2 of us or with the kids. I would definitely recommend!
Super friendly staff in quite atmosphere. Lobster bisque was great, creamy, full flavored with a hint of spice at the end. Fish tacos and poke tacos were tender but lacked flavor.
Always a must have to stop in and have a craft beer! Been coming here for over 15 years and still great beer
Very average beer that is overpriced for what it is. The IPA was very stale and not worth it. Food was better though.
Quick, friendly and professional service. Broad baseline menu with separate specials menu. Good variety of in house craft beers. Worth the price.
Extraordinary clam chowder. We had the filet mignon and it was a home run. Their selection of beers is awesome. Excellent place.
