The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina reviews
36Great location, Great atmosphere, Great staff. One of our highlights of our vacation. Would love to go back if ever in the area again.
Nice room, great location, friendly staff. Really close to lots of great restaurants and shopping. Beautiful views.
Great location. Rooms are dated with no refrigerator or other common amenities. Our air conditioner broke our last night and they fixed it within 30 minute which was a positive. Overall it was definitly not the service for the price per nght we were looking for. In addition, our WiFi kept losing a signal which was another downside. Not sure if I would stay here again with all the other location options.
Very nice place within walking distance to everything around the area five blocks to Newport Shipyard which is where the yacht charter show was and any kind of restaurant bar entertainment within seconds of walking out the front door a wonderful location and beautiful place well courteous staff
Poor check in. Tired room. Woken at 5.30am by workman banging in the hotel! Very noisy and very disappointing.
Room was small but staff was helpful and amenities were nice. Restaurant was not great. Location is fantastic and price was right.
Beautiful place. Attending a wedding and had a great time. Parking was somewhat difficult though.
Spacious and clean room! Housekeeping didn't bother us at checkout time which was great because we ended up going with late checkout. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable! Location was right in the middle of all downtown activity with very short walking distance to night events. Breakfast included in the night's stay and had a wonderful and delicious selection of food! Large parking lot that accommodated additional guest parking. Overall very pleasant experience, would stay here again!
We went for lunch at Salt Water. Things started off bad with a 15 minute wait just to get our drink order taken and things went downhill from there. 3 out of 4 people in our party got burgers which were $18 each. I dont mind paying $18 for a good burger but dont give me an overcooked, cheap piece of meat. I spend a lot of time in Newport but will never go back to Salt Water at the Harbir Hotel
The rooms are generally ok, but look a little worn down. Location is convenient and makes walking around very easy. Staff gets 5 stars as everyone was very eager to provide a great experience.
Great place to enjoy your stay near the sea. Good breakfast and very kind and helpful staff, clean and quiet, big rooms, classic style design, close to the main interesting points of the city. Recommendable!
Beware, this is a Motel not a Hotel. The pictures on line look nice but this place is a budget Motel. I purchased a room with water views and all I got was a parking lot view. When I complained about it and asked for the room I purchased I was told sorry all booked, no rooms left. When I asked for a refund I was told NO refunds. Do not stay here, stay at a real Hotel. The place is outdated.
Nice, clean and great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. I just wish they told us upfront about the "amenity fee" they charge you after your stay.
Stayed there a while ago
At least a four star hotel
Friendly staff
Good place to stay off season
This is an outworn overpriced hotel. I stayed one night and they wrongfully charged "amenity fee" twice, $21x2=$42 which they haven't fixed even after a week and three phone calls.
Update: Okay, after the response from the owner below, I called again today (April 10,2018) and the representative acknowledged (again) that the amenity fee was accidentally charged twice and I was told that I would be refunded. I don't know how long it will take, we will see how much the hotel cares about its guests. Please don't make me make the fifth call for the same issue!
The $20 "amenities" charge is a rip-off. Why don't you be honest and just add it to the advertised price of the room?
