Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant reviews
44Really disappointed in this place. No seasoning whatsoever, if you’re looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area, do not go here please. Only good thing was the flan.
Had hair in my togo order and couldnt call because of
The closing time. Called back in the morning manager was super rude and told me they had to " investigate" and rushed me off the phone. Took forever to call me back im disappointed won't be returning
The food is good. The service us good. It's clean and nice. They even have virgin drinks. (hard to find)
This location is the best in DFW! I have visited all locations in DFW and the food here is always outstanding! Love the steak, chicken and pork! The enchiladas are on point as well! Chips n queso are mouth watering! The staff are quick and make sure you are satisfied!
Home style Mexican food served in a cultural environment. There was no wait for a table and our server Voosha (sorry if spelled incorrectly) was very polite and attentive. Chips and salsa tasted bold and flavorful. The fajitas for 2 was served on a hot sizzling plate and tasted really good. The swirl margarita was ok. Overall we had a good experience and left with full bellies.
Love Holly in the bar area. She's been there for years & I love seeing a friendly person. I'm glad she's still there & enjoy her company! Thanks Holly! You're the reason we keep coming back!
I really like the selection of food and drinks.
They have something for everyone here.
The chips and salsa are very good (ask for the habanero salsa if you like hot).
You can't go wrong with any of their grilled items!
With a half-dozen Mexican restaurants inside a few blocks you have to be good to survive. Abuelos has a good mix a traditional and unique dishes. Great chips too. Absolutely delicious! Enchiladas, tacos, rice and beans were so hot and fresh. 3 salsas and chips were awesome as well. First time in Texas to eat Mexican and it didn't disappoint. Service is excellent! Waitress was very attentive. Sea Bass with creamy Guerrero sauce was excellent! Brisket tacos were ok.need to heat up the flour tortillas.tortilla soup needed some 'doctoring' for flavor. Desserts were delicious!
Freakin' AMAZING. Didn't even feel the tornado storm. Food was so good we got distracted and could've died but SO WORTH IT. OMG. #needmore #abuelosscratch
Really gone down hill fijatas were skimpy portion and the onions were not even grilled just raw onions on the plate. 1 very thin slice of green bell pepper.very disappointed
The enchiladas were to die for. The staff was amazing, our waitress remembered 5 orders all with multiple options and and mine and my spouse each had 6 specifics to our plates. Only one enchilada came out wrong and was provided the correct one. Ground beef instead of shredded (cooks mistake) over all great experiences and will definitely be back.
Date night staple for years. Wife's personal fave restaurant. Layered dip, easy beans; yes, please. Have not had a bad dish there. Love the triple salsa. Fantastic rellenos and impeccable flan.
This has been a tradition to eat here every time we came back from Dallas. We have left the doctor's appointments in Dallas and usually the nurse that is with this is a first-timer here. I can't say that I've ever had anything bad from this location. Creamy guacamole dip should be against the law that how good it is.
I had the Australian Sea Bass meal. The best meal I've ever had in life. The service was outstanding, the waiter had an amazing attitude and was very attentive.
Good food. Great waitress. Big thanks to Karen (I think that's her name) for keeping such a positive attitude with my difficult family!
Got catering from here for our wedding rehearsal and it was delicious! Great price and lots of food.
Solid Tex Mex. Not the best but far far from the worst. That may not sound like a resounding review, but it's one of our go to when we just want some enchiladas or relleno.
Haven't tried much more on the menu in the last 10 years. I always have the Monteray. This is my only chain Mexican food place I will eat. Always fast and the best.
The quesadillas are so good. Nice clean restaurant, good staff, No wonder its been open so long. Check it out!
