Atera Apartments, Dallas TX

Please run away from this place!
The worse apartment complex where I have ever lived. I was a victim of the winter storm that occurred in Dallas this past February where my unit flooded due to a pipe rupture. To start, the complex was completely unprepared for the winter storm. My roommates and I had to be the ones to turn off the water in multiple buildings to prevent further damages in other units.unfortunately in our unit, the kitchen, living room and master bedroom were vastly affected. I asked for the possibility to transfer into a new unit. However, the complex informed me that they were going to rehab my unit since they did not have any units available at the moment. I decided to be patient and allowed them to work and moved to my brothers home in order to allow them to work comfortably. The complex confirmed that the rehab was going to start anytime from Feb 22-26. I did not go back to check the apartment until March 8th, to my surprise the rehab had no been started. I decided not to stress about it and allowed them continue their work. The worse came on March 16th when the complex informed me that the inspector deemed the unit unlivable. We immediately begin to look for other options, like a new unit or the possibility of moving. However, the complex decide to push us out of the complex without even offering options. On top of that, everyone in the leasing office including the Manager gave us the worse treatment I have ever experienced. They never answered the phone, never called us back and do not even try to contact the corporate (BH Management) because apparently no one works there. I strongly believe its a ghost company at this point. We decided to work with them and begin the process of finding a new apartment which in this times is not the easiest thing due to Covid. The complex started to pressure us to move as soon as possible before the end of the month, only giving us less than 2 weeks to find a new place. We remained patient and continued to work with them but with less than 2 weeks we knew it was going to be difficult. We asked the complex if we could rent a store unit in the complex just in case we were unable to move or finalize a new lease on time. They refused, giving the excuse that we were no longer residents even given the fact that nothing had been signed (termination waiver) at that point. Luckily, we found a new place on time. However, the complex still wants to charge for additional fees even after the place was confirmed to be unlivable since March 16th and to forget about the deposit as well. Honestly I wish I could give negative stars, these people are the worse. For the well being of yourself and your family stay away form this facility and any apartment complex managed by BH Management.

Office staff and management care nothing for the residents that pay their rent, monthly. More to come when I contact government oversight agencies.

I enjoyed my residence at the Atera and always felt safe and comfortable. Management was always polite and maintenance was always prompt and respectful of my space. I would recommend this community.

I visited Atera Apartments yesterday and met with leasing agent Selena Ayala. She was very friendly and gave me all the details about the units. I noticed that they were very busy answering phones and checking on packages. I was impressed, because I currently live at a complex where phone calls are allowed to go to voicemail with little effort to stop and interact with tenants. I was also impressed that they are one of the few complexes that still receives packages for the residents! I live at a LUXURY complex currently that doesn't do this anymore.
Selena walked me through the pool area and explained that the pool had just been shock treated with chlorine and that was why it was a little cloudy. The pool at my LUXURY complex is only allowed to be used by one-hour incremental appointments and has broken and missing furniture. I was impressed with the new door entry system that can be done with a phone app! That was neat. The interiors have upgraded, beautiful wood floors, new carpet in the bedroom, sparkling countertops and shimmering backsplashes. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that there is a very transparent website which lists current prices based on length of lease and move-in dates. Many other complexes quote prices verbally and are subject to change depending. Some places are like used-car dealerships, but Atera is up-front and simple to understand. I am looking forward to moving here and I was impressed with Ms. Ayala and the professionalism of the office staff. See you hopefully this fall!

You can usually find something with a low price. Just hope that nothing ever goes wrong. I would never live here again. Ever.

Esther and everyone else in the leasing office and the maintenance people have been so Amazing!

I highly recommend living here.

What great updates they are doing. I am looking forward to enjoy the new dog park and fitness center. Yessika and Eric have been great and serving my pet and myself. Friendly and always available. I have referred my friend and will refer more!

Guys stay a way unsafe apartment my truck got stolen and they have cameras not working and when you leave the apartment they will get you for sure they will send a crazy bill of stupid things

Office team has improved. Eric is always so helpful. The manager reached out to offer me a great rate to stay until 2020. Lots of work being done around here. You will like living here.

My boyfriend has been living here for 4 years now and I recently joined him. The experience has been breath taking as the staff is friendly. The previous staff was lazy and rude. We attended the clubhouse function and met great neighbors. We are minutes from our jobs and a plus is the bars. Manager is a doll and super friendly. We are making this our home from some years.

I will assume since they are unwilling or incapable of cleaning the mud and debris from the public sidewalk on Cedar Springs.forcing everyone who uses the sidewalk to slog through the mud.that they are incapable of doing other things that make for a pleasant community! It only reinforces the reasons for my leaving them 2 yrs ago.poor maintenance and an unwillingness to confront rowdy, loud, and rude tenants!

Terrible Experience, everything from billing to customer service. Never answers the office phone, doesn't return calls. No parking for visitors besides 4 spots that are constantly occupied. Additional charges for electricity, multiple admin fees. Would not recommend.

Place is nice, good updates, friendly office people. I don’t normally go off reviews but have witness people put negativity due to rent late or things of there fault. Price for location is by far the best on Cedars. The strip is awesome at nice.

Very relaxing, designed place. You have everything you could want and our need at thisplace. I also think there is a on-site Salon.

Beautiful property! Very convenient location and my kitchen is amazing! Maintenance is very prompt and knowledgeable.

Lived here 3 years-charged me misc fees when I moved out and did not use my security deposit. When I asked them to fix this they said they'd get back to me with how to pay and the new amount. Got called by a debt collector instead. The management has gone downhill and does not answer/return phone calls. Also they lost many of my packages and parking is insanely difficult for yourself and guests.

Atera is amazing. I love living here! Everyone in the office is extremely helpful especially Eric. He is absolutely amazing and so genuine. I will recommend this place to all of my friends.

The women are freaking hot rent expensive but nevertheless it's a great neighborhood definitely good for kids and Families

My friend was helping me look for places to live im new to dallas.we went to the atera and we were shown around by a guy named eric dude is really cool never met someone as friendly as him in my whole life i look foward to living at the atera in august you guys need to promote eric dude is WICKED COOL

The visitor gate has not worked the 2 years my sister has lived here. The parking lot is awful full of serious pot holes, cracks, and uneven lanes. There is also no visitor parking convenient to bldg 10. The duck situation is insane. The insides of the apartments are okay - they're rocking that tacky 80s mirror wall in the dining room. The stairwells are always dirty. I would not live there but my sister seems to like it well enough. So.
