24Just like any apartment complex, there are unsatisfied customers, but ever since the new management took over, I have not had any complaints. I love living here and recommend to all my friends!
Since the new management in 2018, lots of issues have been fixed. Package system is better, maintenance is quick and the parking situation is much better. The outside is getting an upgrade and this is by far the cheapest option for what you get in Oak Lawn
When I first discussed a lease at Atera I let the leasing agent know I wanted a garage. When I signed my lease the garage was left off, and they ended up giving me a garage two buildings away.
It's been 7 months and I just got a garage in my building.
I've had A/C issues since moving in, and they have yet to be resolved.
The worst part about living here has been the THEFT! I came home to find a maintenance key in my door, but no maintenance had been requested. Nobody was in my apartment, and items were missing. I had to file a police report and the property management claimed they didn't know how the key got in my door.
I posted this review today because upon returning to my apartment after a few days, I found a note stating maintenance had been in my apartment. I HAVE NOTIFIED FOUR LEASING REPRESENTATIVES THAT NO ONE IS TO ENTER MY APARTMENT FOR MAINTENANCE WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
ATERA APARTMENTS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT RESIDENTS
Unfortunately this is my 1st bad review to EVER leave. I lived at Atera for over 2 years, & majority of that time it was GREAT until they switched to BH Management. Not only did you have to put service request in at least 5 times, but the management that took over we’re extremely rude & unprofessional. Berry & Jae at the front are extremely sweet, but as far as anything else goes I’ve never had such a bad experience trying to move out of an apartment. Unfortunately although it’s a great location when management changed it also got a lot nosier, & i had to report domestic disturbances several times. Don’t move here, it’s not safe, the management isn’t kind or respectful, & the money you save isn’t worth it unfortunately. Sadly you will pay the cost back in whatever charges they decide to create for you after you move out.
