Aurora Place / The Linc at Cypress Apartments, Houston TX

Have had a leak for months and months. Same issue since I’ve moved in and it’s only minor repairs. Growing very frustrated living here and having to clean leaks almost every week. Signed my lease expecting for new management to be better but maybe this building is just too old and in need of major repairs.

Update; after a frustrating experience with the leak, the apartment complex has been in contact with me and they are trying to fix it. I am putting my faith in their hands and am hoping they do as promised. Mistakes happen and I’ll accept it as long as they help me get this resolved. Thank you Aurora Place for being concerned about my issue and hopefully we can have this apartment back to a great living area.

My experience with this apartment complex was an absolute disaster and the worst I've ever had to deal with. I was told that I would receive a military discount of 3% off of my rent as I am veteran. That was a lie, then they told me they are only offering an essential employee discount which I am qualified as I work in Mortuary Service, they lied about that as well. It took them over 3 weeks to process my application, during that time which communication was completely non-existent I would leave messages on their voicemail they wouldn't return my calls emails what I would email them and they would respond they forgot who I was and even then the apartment still wasn't ready they changed the unit number two times and amount of rent during that long period that they took to approve my application and they didn't even have the keys made already the key didn't fit the lock the day they showed it to me it wasn't cleaned and ready for me to move in.complete disaster that office has no idea what they're doing Laraina and Liz the manager have absolutely no management skills whatsoever and they treat their tenants like garbage the buildings are old there's trash on the outside by the dumpster the units look like they get broken into often because when I went to look at where they first unit was people's glass to their front doors were broken cardboard boxes were there in place of Windows my recommendation would be not to move into this apartment complex you'll probably regret it I didn't even move in and it's unfortunate because they took my application fee they are liars and if that's any indication of how I'm supposed to live for the next 13 months that's not going to happen don't spend your time or money moving into this complex or even applying. They discriminate and lie. Bait and switch.you'll regret it.

I helped my friends move into this property, what a disappointment. Old, buildings are in bad shape, falling apart, landscaping is horrible. Make ready, that’s a joke. I’m glad they won’t be here long. Calling to get information does not exist, back gate completely gone, trash everywhere I’m not sure management or residents care about how they live. Window units is some apartments, aluminum foil lined windows.i would not feel safe laying my head here. Don’t walk, run from this property!

We moved here in December 2019 and its been a great experience. The staff is super sweet and friendly. We have had normal minor maintenance issues and they have addressed any fixed the problems quickly. Loving it so far.

That complex is getting worse every month there. I hate that place with a passion. DO NOT RENT HERE!

Lived here and all I can say is have some ear plugs handy as neighbors are loud next door (very thin walls that need more insulation and reinforcement) and above. Balconies on first floor have no privacy.

Worst place to live at they talk to you in bad actitud all the time.very fake and discriminatory agains Hispanic community the office staff and corporate also.lies all the time since the beginning.they started to ask about my imgrations stattus and also even asked me why i dont have a ssc.they have to get training in fair housing. I pay my rent on time every month.i cant wait to move out.

Do not rent at this apartment complex. The worst management ever as well as the noisy and, nasty neighbors.stay far away. Lot of threats from previous management (Mattie Arnold), no follow through when a complaint or concerns needed to be addressed.beware.

Never moved to this a property they have insect problem they do not care about the resident here all day looking for you to pay your rent and that's all and I feel like they race towards black people if you move here you going to regret it

I just got my keys Saturday thinking the apartment was ready and it’s not carpet dirty wall has a whole in it ac not working and no one ever answers the phone

I've never been more ready to move, nor is this a place I would recommend for anyone to stay, that's all I'm going to say.

Aurora Place grounds were very well kept. I loved when I went on a tour, the manager, Mattie took me around to see everything your property had to offer. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Most horrible experience ever. I was shown a different apartment said mine would look just like the remodeled ones and nowhere near it. Cabinets are old and moldy falling apart. My apartment was not ready when promised. The roaches are ridiculous here no matter how many times I have asked the problem has never been fixed I’m so ready to move out I am counting down the days. There is always some excuse. It took them 2 months to fix a leaky ac problem. Now my ac keeps going out 3 times in a week. Worst place to live.

Mattie, Andy the the team have been great. The pool behind the office is my favorite. Little hidden treasure.

Aurora Place is clean, quiet and beautiful. The office staff is friendly. I really love the floor plans and the location. The grounds are well kept. When the manager took me on a tour of the property, she was very professional and knowledgeable of the property.

I have lived here for a year! And I love them. They are very quiet and peaceful. I live on the first floor and I do not hear my neighbors on top of me or next door! I have lived in apartments where the neighbors were noisy and disturbing. Everyone here on the property is nice. I love the management. Miss Mattie so sweet and they take care of business. Needless to say I am renewing my lease!

I've lived here for two years, they've gone through new management "like most apartments" but this new manager is making some good changes. The women in the office are always respectful which is more than i can say about alot of places.

Great community and friendly staff. If you are looking for luxury care free living in a quiet community. Aurora Place Apartments is the place!

I apllied here online, been here 1 week and I realized this was a big mistake moving here, because the Apts looked really nice online, I was told the Apt was ready, carpet shampooed, that was not true, this carpet have Not been touched, , in my bathroom there is no light cover and you can see wires and build up dust in the ceiling, the patio door has no lock, their is no plate holder on one of the eyes on the stove.i have called the office 4 times and they told me, maintenance will be right over, I haven't seen him yet, and they barely answer the phone in the office, , neighbors has piled up trash on their porch for days on in, and the office has no problem with it, and people just throw trash all over the ground and the grass looks bad as well. The apts look decent on the outside but when u get into them I looks a little rough, paint is peeling everywhere, Sorry but there's no way my husband and I gonna pay our hard earn of $950 a month for this.and the Maintenance man needs to be replaced I'm never a negative person, however I have to point out my unhappiness with the mistake we just made, my husband realized we made a big mistake, For the people that's saying they love living here, that's fine and dandy, if you have low expectations!

Do not move here. You will be left with a negative mark on your credit report for final fees that you have already paid. I had to send my canceled check to the credit bureaus after the apartment office continued to falsely claim that these fees were owed to them. They don’t answer your phone calls or emails and maintenance is very slow to fix anything. Parking issues. I also had a bug problem after a neighbor moved out and I couldn’t get rid of them not matter how clean I kept the apartment. They came out immediately upon smelling any food. Stay away.
