Austin Emergency Center - South Lamar

My family and I came here and we’re a group of 8. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The did not show one ounce of negativity to work with us. They made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed lots of laughs. They were super efficient and worked well as a team.

This emergency room is terrible. They are churning out the covid tests, but staff service is the worst. I received inaccurate and changing information from staff while testing, in quarantine as well as from director of this location subsequently. They are ready to gang up and be curt, rude, and condescending when questioned also. Beware!
Why would you offer for me to speak to Carol again when she was unwilling to hear the patients side? The document you provide is unacceptable, especially for government employees who then test positive. Also, the bad information and lack of any accommodation is the worst.

I needed an emergency PCR Covid test so that I could travel to Canada to be with my ailing Papa. I first stopped at another place and they charged $300, would not take insurance and promised 36 hour results. Boy am I glad I drove down the street to Austin emergency center. They took my insurance and texted me my results in ONE HOUR. Bear in mind this was a PCR test and not the rapid antigen test. Zachary was efficient and friendly. I was so impressed

The lady who swabbed us was very nice and gentle! We were in and out in about 10 minutes and got our results in a timely fashion! Hopefully we won’t have to but if we have to get tested again we will definitely be going back to south Lamar:)

Really terrif staff. Informitive, helpful and courteous. We showed up after 9pm and they were quick to help. Plus they Followed up the next morning. Very professional and capible medical staff.

Staff was professional and knowledgeable. Solved my issue quickly and I felt better that evening. They called and checked up on me the next day. I will go back again should I need medical care.

I had an accident with a pair of garden shears and the people at Austin Emergency did a very good job to make the experience as positive as possible. Everyone was helpful and professional.

Every staff member was very nice to me and made me feel calm. I was in and out in no time, and, I am super thankful this is where I chose to go to get my stitches!

I had the best experience possible at this location. They operate like a well oiled machine and they all have great bedside manner.

I was in tremendous pain and everyone we came into contact with were tremendous! Sadly there were no obviously things wrong, but they ensured me that I can come back in the next couple of days if anything happened to pop up. They made me very comfortable

Great place! They attended to me immediately after walking in and signing paperwork. The doctors and nurses were extremely nice and helpful. They were able to treat my injury professionally and with minimal discomfort. They gave me a small bag with bandages to take home and gave me great instructions on how to tend to my injury for quick healing. Totally reccomend this place!

I was able to get in quickly for my appointment, the staff was great and facilities were clean. My only complaint is that the wait time while in the room was unnecessarily long. I was the only patient that morning and was told by a nurse that she would be back in 15 min, but 45 minutes later still no one returned so I had to leave the room to find someone.

Dr. Kathuria, Dr. Ely, and Nurse Alex we’re amazing! Super attenentive and extremely knowledgeable. Super glad I went here!

Great experience. Came in for a CT scan after a bad fall and left knowing I was fine. Wonderful, kind staff.

After filling out my Patient forms, I think I waited 3 minutes before I was called back. Front Desk Registration, ER Tech, Nurse, Doctor and RAD tech were all very friendly. Got a CT scan and everyone made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this place.
