Austin Emergency Center - South Lamar

Went in for stitches and was greeting by a very friendly staff. The process was comfortable and they made sure I was not in incredible pain and were genuine about my care. Strongly recommend, knowing they will take good care of you in the best way possible!

I came to the Austin Emergency Center with severe stomach pain and a fever. After two hours, an IV bag and a CAT scan (which they pressured me into having, explaining that there was a risk of internal bleeding which could kill me), they sent me home with absolutely no answers. They did care enough to send me an $8,000 bill ($4,000/hour) for their services. The best part of it all, before I was admitted, I asked the front desk if everything would be covered and in network, I was assured that this would not be outrageously expensive and that my insurance would cover it. Needless to say, one year later and I am still fighting these charges. Next time I'll just take the risk and sit at home hoping that it's nothing serious.

This is the second time I’ve unfortunately had to visit the Austin Emergency Center and both times they handled my illness with attentiveness and were very thorough. They are not only knowledgeable but they treat you like a part of their family. They genuinely want you to get on the road to healing ASAP.

The staff were very accommodating, and they were able to see me almost immediately. The doctors and nurses who took care of me were kind and patient. Would highly recommend!

I needed to have my daughter seen asap for a possible head concussion and i didnt want to go to the ER because they take to ling, so i opted for an urgent care place. Thier wait was more then 2 hrs! Heck no, so i took her to the emergency room off of south lamar on line said 5 min wait. As soon as i arrived i filled a piece if paper, the lady at fd was already triaging my daughter and a nurse was concerned and took her back immediately. Very nice and attentive staff! No wait no messing around. Everything was run like click work. One nurse cane in then the dr, then another nurse, my daughter had to get a CT done and that didnt take long at all! This place is where i will go if i ever need an ER again. Keep up the great work yall! Very satistisfied

Dr. Price was great. He put my daughter (age 5) at ease. He was very thorough and patient. The staff were generous and accommodating.
