Blue Bell Creameries, Brenham TX

We drove 45 minutes each way to get there. If I would have known what it was going to be like, I probably wouldn't have. I was anticipating that it would take some time to walk around and see different things but there wasn't much to see other than a statue, an old ice cream truck and a few baseball artifacts. There was an observation deck and they're set up to do tours, but both of those features were closed when we went. The facility and grounds are really nicely maintained and they sell $1 scoops, which was fun. People were there from all over the world, it seemed, so I guess it's a destination spot. Bluebell ice cream is absolutely delicious, but I was underwhelmed by our visit.
