Bumps n' Bruises Pediatric Urgent Care reviews
23 We didn't have a good experience. It was quick, however, the front desk gal didn't care to say 'Hi' or 'How are you? ' The first words out of her mouth, 'have you been here before? ' and when I said no she quickly asked what insurance I had. With my baby and bags in my hands I finally got the cards out, and then she told me they didn't take ONE of his insurances, holding the two cards in her hand. She looked at me as if I was supposed to walk away. I said "WELL YOU TAKE THE OTHER ONE, WE HAVE TWO. " She then looks at her co-worker, "do we take United Healthcare? " Shouldn't you know this? I was already dealing with my poor baby being sick, and thanks for not asking how we are. WE ARE GREAT, I already know how your day is - you obviously don't want to be here and don't want me here either. Then she hands me the papers, and that was that. While I sat there with my child trying to get them done, she was also rude on the phone with someone, and had a bad attitude.
When we finally got called back (within 10 minutes of finishing the paperwork) There wasn't anything going on back there, and someone was chillin' with their phone, and facebook up. The young blonde that did the triage was more than kind to us and sweet to the baby. Then we didn't see a doctor. Let me tell you how tired we are of not seeing doctors. I didn't even see a doctor in the back and who knows if they even have one. The PA wasn't rude, but had a way of speaking to me as if I WERE THE CHILD and didn't understand that my child was also 12 months old. I don't expect you to know that I understand medical terminology, but I'm also 32, not 5. She was kind of condescending actually and very very rushed. When we left, the girl at the computer was still comfortable with her phone and facebook up just scrolling through.
Needless to say, I won't be back. I need a friendlier environment, and to see a doctor.
They didn't just tell me what my child needed as far as treatment is concerned. They collaborated with me to ensure I was happy with the treatment chosen for my child. Not only that but, I had to call back the next day when my child wasn't tolerating the prescription. The NP collaborated with me again going over insurance costs, etc. Not just sending me to call my child's pediatrician. I truly appreciate your customer service! I will think of them first for any incidentals my child has after hours!
It is nice to have a place to take a sick child on Sunday. They really need to get new reception people. There was two girls one was on her phone and the other was studying. Neither greeted me or told me what to do. If I hadn't been there before and had a good experience this would have made me not come back. But the doctors are good and take good care of my kids.
