The Seafood Gumbo is fire. I been going there since I was little when it was called The Captain's and it still taste the same. Everything is delicious

Food tasted good i was not impressed with the taste of the gunbo shrimp tasted good and hush puppy were also good

Disappointing. Fries were limp and heavy with grease. Fried oysters had almost no meat, were prebreaded from a bag and smaller than a thumb. Stuffed jalapenos were soggy, all heat with no flavor. Broiled stuffed catfish was thin fillets buried under two cups of mushy, oversalted stuffing. Even the rice was greasy. Coleslaw wasn't good or bad. Garlic bread was meh. Tartar sauce was okay.
This was a to go order.
I must note the place was crowded, and most folk seemed happy enough, which was encouraging. So, I'm not sure if I got a bad order, or folks are just acclimated to their local greasy spoon - every city has a few!
Service was brief so can't speak to that.
I feel bad leaving 1 star, but I would not eat there again even to try something else. Threw it all out after a few bites of each.

Horrible service. Had to leave because they didn't have what I wanted after having to flag a waitress down to be served.

Food was bland and they messed up my to go order. The atmosphere had my kids talking about spong bob and that was the entertainment. Nothing spectacular about the place.

Food was the Best, fried catfish, shrimp & stuffed shrimp with crab. Coleslaw was the best I have ever tasted. Service was excellent.

Hands down some of the best chicken gumbo you will ever eat. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Everything is always fresh and cooked when ordered. This is a little Hidden Gem in the hood that I hope doesn't get too much exposure because I love it just the way it is

Probably the best fried fish in the vicinity. The cajun dishes are equally good. It can get claustrophobic with crowds and the price is bordering gourmet (even though the atmosphere is bordering dive). Selective alcohol drinkers will be disappointed and so will anyone looking for something under 600 calories. It still deserves 4 stars, because what it does right, it does darn good.

If all you want is Oysters then the place is ok. I've had several of the different fried fish and they are always over cooked. Consistently mushy. The shrimp etouffee is horrible. I give a single star only cause Oysters are good but small

Nice place to eat. Today I had the Captains special that was so Delicious! It had 8 stuffed shrimp, hushpuppies, French fries and garlic toast for $15.99. The stuffed shrimp were extremely big and so darn delicious.

First time eating oysters on a half shell and gumbo. THE FOOD WAS DELICOUS & THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING.

Great seafood place people are really friendly and fast delicous food. Great when in a hurry. 5 star location highly recommended

Go to Capt bennie once a week. Great GUMBO and Boudin balls. Awesome combo fried basket shrimp and catfish

Very bad customer service, manager would not fix a receipt.for tax exempt form told me to take or not. Very unprofessional.

The staff is always nice and attentive to thier customers. I eat at Capt. Bennys every chance i get.

Online menu prices are cheaper than the actual price inside the store. I purchase 30.00 worth of nasty seafood. I order scallops with fries the online menu said 10 piece I only got 8. The online price was 13.99 the price I paid was 15.99 plus tax next I order a dozen of spicy shrimp they were salty not spicy. The cashier had a attitude because I ask for ketchup and tartar sauce.
I will never go here again.

This was my first time here, i usually don’t write reviews. But today I decided to give this restaurant one because we left super happy! Everytime i go out to eat i have bad experiences with the waitresses. Naomi was so attentive, nice, sweet, and professional! Loved her so much! The food was also great.

I've been coming to Cap's here on 45 well over 18 years, my people over here are great, wounderful, very hopsital. I have never been to Noooo other one but this one. My waitresses whom I've been knowing for about the same amount of time, one of them at least, are awesome. Thank y'all for all y'all do an the Damn good food. You all are well appreciated.
