CarMax, Plano TX

Austin King was great. He helped me get into the car of my dreams. I am very happy with my purchase. His communication and customer service was awesome!

Went to Carmax in Plano to look at a 2019 Ram 2500 they had. I checked online and it said it was available before I drove out there. I get there and look at it and like it. The salesman then told me it was not available after showing me the vehicle. He then asks his manager and then told me that a customer that was not even there put a hold on it. I was there with a check ready to purchase it but they turned me away because a customer that was not even there or even seen the truck put an online hold on it. Never heard of putting a hold on a vehicle with no deposit. I went next door to Huffines Ram and purchased a new one instead and only paid a couple grand more for a brand new one!

Don't call them, you'll be on the phone for an hour and still won't have anyone pick up the call. Literally wanted to buy a car online and it said someone will get back to me soon and no one has. So I decided to call them 4x and each is just a long hold. Not even in the mood to want to get the car with them anymore. Get better customer service.

It was my first time to sell a car to CarMax. I had car appraised online and picked up appointment time. The instructions are very clear to follow. When I took the car to the CarMax at scheduled time, they checked and tested car and honored the price. The process was very smooth. Staffs are very professional and friendly.

I have always had great success selling my cars to Carmax in Plano. Breana Murphy helped us close the deal and was very efficient.

A great place to get terrible low-ball offers for your vehicle. Great service but they have no control over selling or buying a car. Everything is based on the computer they use. It tells them what they can do for you. I have always found better offers from dealerships! And dealerships don't give good deals on trade ins.that's how bad carmax is

I realize you have a business to run, but y'all are some LOWBALLING crooks.
I've have a bumper to bumper inspection from the dealer, and you try to tell me that I have had frame repair work. Then I ask to see and it's just breezed over like I didn't ask.
You're trying to buy the car at less than half of trade in value. CROOKED CROOKED CROOKED. Then you'll turn around and sell it at 20% over market value.
SHAME ON YOU.

Never understand why all my family members who bought from CarMax was so so obsessed, but after my experience with them I don’t think I will never buy a car from anywhere else. My sales person Ken was outstanding! He was very personalable and helpful with everything. James in service was awesome as well, he took the time out to go over and explain all the concerns I had. The Plano Carmax Rocks!

Sold my car here for an extremely fair price, it lined up nearly exactly with the Blue Book value I had researched online. Be sure you set an appointment in advance before going in, the entire process took me a little under one hour including the assessment, paperwork, etc. I worked with Anthony and he did a great job. The business office that handled paperwork were working quickly as well.

Buying a car at Carmax was pretty painless experience the people were nice to have nice vehicles and it was really easy I would recommend anyone that’s looking for a good used car to Give Carmax a shot first sincerely Charles more

Bought my 4th car from CarMax. Best deal in town. Traded in my third car with this recent purchase, and got the best price for my old vehicle. I tried other dealers too, but they can't match CarMax!

Hidden fees, terrible customer service. Because it is a dog-eat-dog environment among the sales people, they do not respect customers nor spend time pleasing them. Sales people here are not committed to pleasing customers, they are just greedy.

I was going to buy a car at this location but after reading all the negative reviews I am going elsewhere.

They did a nice job of assessing my vehicles condition, but they gave me a low-ball desperation offer. About $4000 to $5000 too low. Funny it was almost exactly my payoff. Which is easy information for them to obtain in the hour I waited for an offer.

Reserved a couple cars and had one brought in. Was able to test drive them and have one picked and paid for in just a few hours. Also inspected and made an offer on my vehicle.

Came in with my fiancé to find him a new vehicle and had a great experience. Our sales lady Lisa helped us to find a car within our budget and made the car-buying experience very positive and easy.
